A group of us stopped here for a drink after an 8 mile walk. We sat in the smaller of the two bars, which had a log fire burning merrily away keeping the room nice and warm. A perfect place to stop after a winter walk. The beer was good too.

Local pub for locals. Friendly people and nice landlord, good beers from nearby brewers. Kitchen was closed on the day we were there, so we can't comment on the food.

Just popped in for cappuccino. Service was great, staff friendly and efficient. The biscuit were well above the usual ones you get at other places, they were proper size biscuits and a good choice of flavours.

Excellent traditional English pub! Get yourself in the garden to chill in a heated gazebo. They really have made lots of effort to maintain social distancing and still have a great experience! Great pint and a beef sandwich to die for. Can't wait to try the Sunday roast

Great pub, very traditional. Has a great quiet side for being able to catch up with friends. Good selection of guest ales too. The hidden gem is the garden in the summer, oh and the food is really good "pub grub"

A BIG thank you to the Waggon and Horses for making our anniversary celebrations simply wonderful. Our guests loved your pub and your food was absolutely fantastic, especially wonderful that you catered for a vegetarian without being asked - WOW....!

Looking forward to seeing you again and I’ve heard that many of our guests want to return too - including the 4 chefs....

Thanks again

This place is top notch! Had a lovely rare roast beef and horseradish baguette and a drink. There is a nice big covered area in the back garden and there is a great atmosphere!
