Knotts View Guest House

Lovely cottage❤ We had a wonderful stay at Knotts View Guest House. Service was fantastic from Suzanne and her husband. Location was brilliant (peace and quiet) which we enjoyed. Definitely recommended, you won’t regret it!!!! 🥰 Now I’m already missing this beautiful cottage.

Amazing location for walking/running right on the doorstep, yet only a few miles from the centre of Keswick.
I was greeted by the host and her lovely dog and was made to feel very welcome. Suzanne was attentive but not intrusive and catered for my veganism brilliantly, with a lovely packed lunch, breakfast and oat milk in the room.
The rooms are comfortable and clean. I had one of the best nights' sleep in a long time. The bathrooms aren't en suite but this wasn't a major issue as there were 3 bedrooms, 3 loos and 2 bathrooms.
The cottage oozed character and charm and I am looking forward to a return visit.

We stayed here for 5 nights. The village is located in a really beautiful and quiet valley with a lot of great hiking spots nearby. It is perfect if you'd like to stay away from the more crowded touristy areas. The hosts were very kind and helpful, they even gave us some recommendations for some walks in the area. The cottage was very cosy, the room was comfortable, quiet and clean. Highly recommend!

This place is fantastic. Cosy rooms, comfy beds, great breakfast, nostalgic lounge area and obviously situated in a perfect spot for exploring the Borrowdale valley. Above all though, the owners are top class!

I spent four nights at Knotts View Guest House with a friend and we both loved it. It was so cosy and welcoming, and Suzanne and John were the perfect hosts. They dried our wet boots and piles of wet clothes without hesitation, gave us excellent tips on walks and wild swimming spots, put on a fire for us in the lounge in the evenings, and even made us homemade shortbread biscuits - both regular ones as well as vegan ones for me! Breakfast was delicious and there was a great range - cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt, toast, jam, plus a full English. Suzanne was completely unfazed by me being vegan, and I didn't miss out on anything.
The location was perfect - peaceful, surrounded by stunning Lake District scenery, but with an excellent pub/inn 1 minute walk away, and only 10 minutes' walk from a twice-hourly bus service to Keswick. Hearing and then seeing a flock of sheep pass right by our window one morning felt like a real Lakeland experience!
Our twin room was spacious with very comfortable beds, and had everything we needed. We also loved the charming country cottage atmosphere, with vintage teddy bears, low beams, a roaring log fire, and good collection of maps, games, and books.
This is the perfect antidote to a faceless modern hotel, and so much better in my opinion. Knotts View Guest House is a really special place and I would definitely stay again!

Fantasic stay. An enchanting location in the heart of some of the most beautiful valleys in England. Trails left and right and a great pub across the way. Rooms are great value for money and very comfortable. Great hospitality and a lovely breakfast in front of a cosy fire. We will return.

Our stay at Knotts View Guest House was such a relaxing luxury after a long day’s walk… We had everything we needed and experienced the warmest and helpful hospitality. Great wifi, shower, rooms and breakfast. Lots of delicious cereal choices with an array of fruits and a full cooked breakfast with all the options!!

Absolutely fantastic.

The building itself is an enchanting 18th century guesthouse located in one of the most picturesque and magical locations in the Lake District. The traditional décor, paintings and photographs lend it a warm charm. The bedroom was cosy, clean and the bed was extremely comfortable.

The hosts were very friendly and kind; they cooked a delicious breakfast and were very accommodating to requests we had, both in terms of dietary requirements and personal preferences.

The location is wonderful, with some of the most breath-taking walks in the area, and directly opposite is the The Langstrath Country Inn which has a great selection of drinks and some incredible pub food.

Highly recommended and exceeded all expectations!

Lovely little B&B with wonderful homely owners. Cooked breakfast was 1st class.

The bed was extremely comfortable and cosy. There was a sink in the room, great water pressure in the showers, everything was cosy and warm. Great blankets on bed! The hosts were very kind and helpful - they even offered to make me dinner if I couldn't find any elsewhere in town! They let two of our party join for breakfast in the morning. Would love to go there again. Breakfast and packed lunches were perfect.

Beautiful B&B in perfect spot. Super cosy room with comfortable bed. Struggled to get up for a breakfast! Lovely owners. Definitely recommend and we’re definitely coming back :) Perfect stay. Thank you.

Warm welcome and a comfortable room. Delicious breakfast and packed lunch. We were given a lift to the pub and, while we were out, our wet walking boots were filled with newspaper and left by the fire to dry. A great 1 night stay.

Very nice 2-night stay. Room was clean and tidy, good full English breakfast and more in the morning, Suzanne was very helpful. Will stay again if in the area!

Lovely experience at this quaint b&b. Fantastic breakfast and lovely room.

Friendly hosts, comfortable rooms. Great breakfast and packed lunch. Very close to the Coast-to-Coast route. Opposite a pub which is unfortunately closed on Mondays, so we had to walk a mile into Rosthwaite to get dinner.

The perfect Lake District B&B. Amazing cosy rooms, great breakfast to get you going. Warm roaring fire. It’s like entering a fairy tale.
