Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa

Visited the spa for a 2 hour thermal journey. Beautiful new spa with various sauna & steam rooms. Lovely outdoor pool/jacuzzi with numerous jets around the circumference to massage your whole body whilst you take in the incredible views. There's an outside sauna which has a full glass wall which again has fabulous views, went in there a few times as it was amazing. Lovely champagne bar serving a variety of snacks and drinks which most people enjoyed outside in the pool. A great end to our stay in Borrowdale hotel, just along the road, and will definitely be returning

Went for the Christmas package and it was wonderful from the word go.

The food was excellent and all the staff were happy and smiling.

The room was small but it is a Victorian Hotel but the view of the lake was amazing.

Great waterfall shower with fluffy towels and robes.

Breakfast had plenty of hot choices as well as a buffet. Recommend the waffles with berries and maple syrup

Christmas lunch was great with plenty of options to choose from.

Everything was laid on with a quiz, the Kings speech on a big screen whilst eating Christmas cake and mince pies.

Would definitely go here again and cannot recommend it highly enough.

Such an amazing setting, the outdoor pool with the view of Derwent and the northwestern Fells - worth visiting for this alone! Staff all very friendly and welcoming. Cara in particular - the manager I believe - was brilliant, providing an American level of customer services.
We will definitely be back.

We had the most wonderful stay this weekend....our room 144 was perfect, the evening meal at The hotel restaurant was exquisite with food to die for. All the waiters & staff were fantastic. The food was elegantly presented and tasted so lovely that we didn't want it to end.
We had 2 beautiful winding down hours in the spa on the Sunday morning which was totally wonderful, with such amazing views of Autumn trees, mountains, and the lake.
This is definitely a hotel we would visit again. Thank you...

Very nice hotel and good location,regular bus service right outside the hotel which is a plus.
Immaculately clean and excellent menu's in the two restaurants which serves very tasty food.
The only downside is service was very slow at peak times especially breakfast and also younger members of staff seemed unsure of what to do! This could just be due to the time of year Christmas /New year period? However this would not stop us returning to Lodore falls hotel ..

Absolutely outstanding service and so very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is superb and the views are amazing. Called in for a bite to eat and a drink and sat in the beautiful gardens with our dogs (dogs are welcome inside too.
The food was lovely, so well presented and very tasty. Even the dogs were bought their own sausages and a drink. Looking forward to going again XX

Me and my friend stayed a couple of nights at this amazing hotel and we can't understand why its not 5 stars for it definitely delivers in every way as a 5 star hotel. Straight away our room was upgraded,the staff were amazing very helpful very friendly such a warm comfy welcoming environment,the views are stunning they will go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and it is one of the places that I highly recommend and I know for a fact that I would love to come back again and again .The breakfast had amazing variety buffet available as well as the hot menu breakfast. On-site hotel that was just one-of-a-kind and the spa just completely top's the experience .And the views are just breath taking.Highly recommend for families and friends.By far one of the best stays we’ve had so far in the lakes!

Really lovely overnight stay and Spa, my only complaint is that robe sizing is terrible - my tall and broad other half was stuffed in what felt like a womens size 10 dressing gown, could really do with larger sizes to be inclusive. Otherwise beautiful, clean, and luxurious - spa at sunset really was glorious! The views are breathtaking

Lovely place. Stayed here 1 night in a standard room. We had an 2 hour evening spa package. The spa was great. Not the biggest but the facilities were top notch and compared to other places they don't let many people in so it felt nice and intimate.

The only downside is the robes at the spa are on the small and tight side.

The views are amazing.

We ate at the mizu restaurant which was really nice. The hotel gave me a birthday card and complimentary glass of prosecco which was a nice surprise.

Staff were great. Breakfast was very nice.

It is also dog friendly and a nice relaxing atmosphere.

The waterfall is just behind the hotel but cannot be accessed from the hotel site.

Nice, big secure car park across the road and the reception will give you a code for the automatic barrier so you can leave.

had an amazing stay here with my wife and dog. the staff at the hotel were lovely, very accommodating and helpful.

not to mention when we turned up they had upgraded our room for free for no reason!

Our visit to the spa was better than expected. The hydro pool is heated with lots of room. The thermal journey was great and varied. We had a mud treatment that was very relaxing. The food in the Japanese restaurant is very tasty , highly recommended all around. The lake view is a lovely touch .

Went to mizu was outstanding food waiting on staff who were very knowledgeable and recommended items to taste. Food its itself was perfectly cooked. Rather on the pricey side but worth it.

We arrived on a very stormy day. The hotel was welcoming and staff very pleasant. We had organised the spa which was absolutely fantastic despite weather there were plenty of people in the outdoor heated pool which was really hot, a great place for aa glass of champagne! Saunas times at least 5 deferent types, ice cold water buckets and heated loungers
We ate in one of the two restaurants, delicious food, great service and atmosphere.
Would we go back? Oh yes in a heart beat.

We did the 8-10am morning spa session both this year and last year. Stunning views from the pool and the sauna also has a glass side with amazing views. You get a hot drink in the package. Snacks are quite expensive, £4.20 for an individual 40g pack of nuts.

Really lovely hotel with great facilities and very good staff. The restaurant was excellent with delicious food. I want to go back ASAP.

Great food in Mizu, and a very nice spa and pool! Very clean throughout, with polite and attentive staff. The views from the outdoor heated infinity pool are picturesque. I recommend Lodore Falls as a perfect place to relax.

Me and my now Husband had a 4 night stay at this wonderful Hotel for our Wedding and we cannot express how perfect everything was! We stayed in a premium suite which was so spacious with great lighting and facilities which also had a balcony with such a beautiful view! During our stay we ate at both the Lake View and the Mizu Pan Asian restaurants - everything we had was to die for and just amazing! Our actual Wedding Day was exceptional, all of the staff were fabulous and nothing was too much trouble for them, they were always checking with us to make sure everything was okay and that we were happy - once again the food was perfect! All of our guests complimented how wonderful our day was and what a stunning venue we had chosen! We also had a fantastic spa experience the day after our Wedding. We both had treatments done - without a doubt, one of the best facials I've ever had! The saunas and aromatherapy rooms in the Spa were fantastic, however we enjoyed the outdoor pool the most - wonderful views once again and such a relaxing atmosphere! Lodore Falls never fails to disappoint, every time we visit this beautiful Hotel we fall in love with it even more! If you are considering visiting this lovely establishment, stop thinking and do it! You won't regret it!
