Meadow Hill Coffee Shop

My favourite coffee shop and place for breakfast/lunch in Dunmow! It's always easy to book a table here on their Facebook page and customer service is excellent. The coffee is very good as well as the selection of baked goods and breakfast and lunch options. I like the scone of the month and have had their afternoon tea as a take away before. I always look forward to coming here with family & friends, cannot recommend enough!!

Omg, this place is amazing. We came for afternoon tea of course (book the day before) and it was amazing. Everything was delicious and presented well. The scones were out of this world, so fresh! Carol, the owner is just lovely and so are all the staff. It’s just a great place and I cannot recommend it highly enough. I’m very particular on my afternoon tea and this is up there with the best. There are also jams, chutneys, hampers etc you buy. If you haven’t been, you must!

It is very welcoming and great service. Didn't take long for our order to come. The cakes are amazing. I'm afraid I had to have a piece. Very reasonable price as well. Lovely little tea / coffee shop. Was my 1st time using and will be using again.

We love a visit to Meadow Hill, the atmosphere and service is brilliant - they do get busy though, so I'd recommend booking a table! Wonderful food served there, or I've also had a wonderful hamper, afternoon tea for Mothers Day and take away pies..... fab! Karen x

Perfect eatery with a great range of hot and cold plates to serve a wide range of tastes. The milk shakes are authentic American recipe with real ice cream whilst local bacon and sausages are a delight.

I've been here many times, sadly I'm only recognised when I'm with my partner. When i visit alone, I'm treated as new customer, which is good but its nice to be recognised as a returning customer

The service is good and attentive.
The food is consistently good, fresh and well made. I'll continue to visit, both alone and with my partner.

Lovely great quality food as always. It lights up Dunmow. Lovely staff so helpful and friendly. Scotch eggs are out of this world the best I’ve ever had! Great to have an amazing cafe local! I Come here often as can’t keep away and would recommend everyone to come you won’t be disappointed!

We were quickly sat without a reservation despite being very busy.
It's a charming space with a nice atmosphere and great staff.

This is a quaint and friendly little coffee shop on the high street, with a good choice of hot and cold drinks, cakes and savoury bites, as well as hot meals and breakfasts. It was well-priced and the quality was good. It is child-friendly and they allow pets in too. There is a unisex baby changing room. We enjoyed our visit with 3 babies and a toddler!

Such a cute little place very pretty and peaceful, great food and friendly staff! Shame I live an hour away but will revisit here when see my friend and sister who live close by. 5 stars from me

A great place to stop for some delicious food, in a small town outside Stansted Airport. Found these to be awesome: Scotch eggs, sausage roll, ham, leek&potato tart.

Ordered an afternoon tea hamper and it was fantastic. Great quality and selection of items and all of them were lovely. It was also extremely good value for money.
Every weekend I pop in for takeaway coffee and the team are always great and attentive.

I've eaten in Meadow Hill multiple times, with friends and family, and have always had a lovely experience. The food is so fresh and I love their menu. Their vegan sandwiches and breakfast is wonderful! It was an easy option for us to ask Meadow Hill to cater a small buffet for our wedding - all the guests were so pleased (as were we!) with the quality of food delivered. Absolutely would recommend for dine in, take away or catering!

Fabulous place to have a well cooked fresh breakfast. Attentive staff, cosy and clean. We were attending a funeral near by and the breakfast set us up for the day. Would highly recommend.

Me and my Husband have been eating at Meadow Hill for a couple of years, (I'm veggie & he's a carnivore) I can honestly say we've never been disappointed, the food is just fantastic, you can tell the owners and staff really care about the food and service they offer, the food on the regular menu is soooo good but they also have specials which are always interesting, varied and gorgeous! the service is perfect and we have always been made to feel looked after and valued as customers, we absolutely adore it here..........don't even get me started on the cakes!!! I would happily eat at Meadow Hill every day!

I visited Meadow Hill on my last visit to Great Dunmow in early 2020 (I live in Ireland) so I knew that they were the perfect people to provide a birthday tea for my aunt who lives nearby. I emailed and received a wonderful response from Carole. She put together a hamper that exceeded all expectations and was, according to the birthday girl, truly delicious. High praise indeed as the recipient is an amazing hostess herself. Thank you Carole for your fast, friendly and wonderful service. I hope to visit in person soon.
