A lovely building, full of character. The food was traditional, done to a very high standard and very fresh. The staff were fantastic, super helpful and lovely.

We are so glad that we found this hidden gem of a place! We will most definitely be returning.

Lovely pub. We sat under the gazebo in the garden which was very pretty. Food delicious and well presented. Not cheap but worth the money. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely return.

Nice selection of food on menu.Starter of 3 Bar bites was good. Main meals were ok. Ribs and onion rings were great, but too big. Best to order if your very hungry. Scampi was over cooked and served in a pie dish on top of lettuce....ah.

Superb! One of my favorite pubs! Monday is 2 for 1 roast and it was lovely! Great value and really tasty!
Pub garden is lovely to sit in, nice marquee too. Inside tge pub it's spotless, beamed, rustic charming.
Food is reasonably priced and menus extensive! Desert was sublime. Highly recommended!

It an excellent restaurant, it has plenty of well appointed space and the interior decor creates a comfortable environment. The staff were courteous and helpful, the menu was very good as was the food on its arrival too. Highly recommend a visit this establishment. Enjoy.

Excellent pub-restaurant, I enjoyed all three courses of my meal With my two friends. The staff are very friendly and chatty and the service was quick. Happily catered for my nut allergy dietary requirements and the atmosphere was great (even though I silenced it with mine and my friends laughing, we were very loud) The only one problem is I wish there was a Guinness tap because unfortunately I had to go with a Murphy's instead which has a relatively same taste to a guineas but it is sweeter and I prefer the bitter taste of the dark draught stout Guiness. unrelated to the restaurant, but the parking is not great, especially coming in an SUV. It can be very tight so much so the cars aren't even parking in bays. They just park in the middle of the car park itself.

Had a great meal here with a friend. It was quite busy but it didn't seem to put a lengthy wait on being served or anything. A good drinks choice which included a few local 'ish' breweries. Food was very nice, couldn't fault it. Will visit again as there was plenty on the menu that looked good.

Parking out back of pub, and when we left I noticed they have a big marquee set up for table covers (bit cold at the moment though!)

The first time I've been & omg....it won't be the last.....absolutely fantastic.....such polite & attentive staff....I felt really valued as a customer....food was amazing too!!!

I had a great time with my colleagues. The food was good. Loved the outdoor setting and would have been great with music.

Stopped with some girlfriends for dessert and tea, and it was lovely. We even wished we'd been hungry enough for dinner, but alas...
Luca was particularly attentive and bubbly. We'll definitely return for a full meal. Thank you Luca.

Five stars but worth six.

I proposed to my wife at the Angel and Harp nearly 3 years ago and we went back there to celebrate our 1st anniversary. The atmosphere was beautiful and buzzing full of happy people enjoying themselves. The staff worked hard and were ever so friendly and the food was served quickly and was delicious. A fabulous place to eat drink and socialise.

We visited for dinner as we stayed in a hotel nearby. The food was delicious and it looked like a lovely pub with loads of seating inside and outside. If we lived locally we would be visiting all the time. It looked like a popular pub as we had to wait for a parking spot.

Sunday lunch with friends here was absolutely fantastic. Food and staff were amazing as was the atmosphere. Would recommend this too everyone.

Been only once when it was quiet but still there were more then enough staff to make sure we weren’t waiting long and the drinks came almost instantly from ordering and the staff are always up for a laugh would highly recommend if your passing through dunmow will be returning

Nicely decorated, very friendly staff pub, restaurant with large garden. Visited on busy Christmas eve for drink and staff asked if we wanted a seat and sat us in the restaurant area, food looked well presented as it came past us. Will visit for dining in the new year

An absolutely brilliant meal. Healthy sized portions and all 7 of us enjoyed everything we ordered.

If you have the hangover munchies or just have a big appetite and want a roast dinner this is the one... mexa mix... LOTS OF FOOD and yummy.

My friend couldn't finish it looked perfect to even share. Food is nice but the pizza looked disappointing but the mussels are delicious.

Waitress was absolutely lovely.

Beer garden is great too.
