Very friendly (and dog friendly) place in the centre of Bedale. Good food cooked to order, sensibly priced. Will certainly visit again next time we're in Bedale.

Friendly staff, lovely interior and a great choice of food and drinks e.g. a special tea menu and a range of choices for my vegan, dairy free friend.
The coffee had a lovely flavour and roasted from Robin Hoods Bay.
Pics include the delicous crumble and milkshake both vegan and dairy free.

Easy five stars, all day long.
Excellent staff and a lovely varied menu. I had the French Toast with bacon and Maple syrup, and it was done to absolute perfection. Just as good as the last time I had some in Canada.
Well worth a visit if you're in Bedale. In fact, visit Bedale. It's epic.👍.

We stopped here for breakfast on the way home from our holiday. I can’t start to tell you how good the the full breakfast and the not so full breakfast was. Everything on the plate was exceptional!
I don’t usually write reviews but I had to for this cafe. The staff were lovely too. I took home to fresh scones which had just come out of the oven and they were delicious too. Thank you

3rd June 23 - yet another good visit with our furry friends Izzy&Bella. Good English breakfast this time 😋

3rd July - another good visit, bacon/brie&cranberry toastie 👍

Stopped for cuppa & bacon sandwich with our 2 dogs, just as good as last time we visited.

Arrived for brunch on a Sunday morning, friendly welcome to us all including our three dogs. Full breakfast was delicious, lattes hot and everything was cooked while we waited. The whole cafe had a warm friendly vibe, there were obviously regulars there who were greeted like friends. We were lucky enough to be able to buy freshly made scones before we left.
My husband & I returned a little later to have our flasks filled with hot chocolate for our journey home, the drinks were still hot 3 hours later! We will certainly return if we are in Bedale again, cannot fault the service from all and we thoroughly recommend them. Thanks to you all.

Popped in here on Saturday afternoon and had a delicious snack of Rarebit on sourdough. Even though the kitchen was just on the point of closing they were very happy to squeeze us in and we are so pleased they did. Lovely food and very pleasant and friendly staff and manager. Dog friendly too (always a bonus)! Definitely recommend and will call back in next time we’re in the area

3 of us had a wonderful lunch here, Two had the cooked breakfast and said it was all super quality. In particular they both praised the sausages, which is incredible as one is very fussy about them!

I myself had a toasted sandwich and it was great, again quality ingredients and a lovely fresh salad with dressing.

Credit also to the staff/owners, everyone was really welcoming and friendly - they also went the extra mile to make sure my allergies were accommodated which was much appreciated.

Definitely would recommend and will return the next time we are in Bedale.

Sublime food, prepared with care and joy, owned by really lovely hard working people who love what they do, and it shows! 👌🏻💗
So much more than just a café! And just so easy for wheelchair users too, we'll be back 👏🏻😊

What a lovely cafe. First impressions were great, super clean cafe (no sticky tables here), friendly staff.

The menu was slightly different to the usual offerings which made a welcome change. I had goats cheese and onion quiche (lovely) with a fresh side salad, husband had a chorizo hash which he thoroughly enjoyed.

We also got a few cakes to take out, we haven't had them yet but they look very enticing.

To cap it all the prices seem extremely reasonable and the toilets were roomy and super clean also.

A gem of a cafe, well worth a visit.

Friendly, attentive staff. Gorgeous meat and vegan full breakfasts. Excellent coffee in a little gem of a cafe, who also bake their own scones and cakes. Bedale is also a lovely place to stop off en route on the A1M and it's only 1.5 miles from junction 51. A great find.

We popped in late on Saturday, they were cleaning up, but offered us a cold service. We had one of their homemade sausage rolls, absolutely packed full of meat, I had a gluten free piece of carrot cake, divine, you couldn't tell it was the gluten free. The owner was wonderful, we had a great chat. I love Yorkshire. Can highly recommend this place. 👌

Pinch of This is a really charming country chic café with on-the-ball young staff. We really enjoyed the simple but well cooked fare. A few of the dishes feature delicious fresh salad and home made coleslaw. Our visit made an excellent stopover. Bedale is a delightful village not far from the motorway with plenty of independent shops. One of the loos had a problem flushing and really needs to be closed to be fixed rather than letting customers use it. Apart from that a definite 10 out of 10, and we're sure to visit again one day!

We were on a long trip and decided to leave the A1 for lunch rather than stopping at a service station. A Pinch of This was a real treat. Instead of the usual chain store bland sandwiches we had interesting and tasty alternatives in this bright and comfy café. The freshly made Cajun chicken sandwich and quiche were both excellent and the orange & chocolate cake (offered warm with a little cream) was lovely. If you are ever travelling on the A1 near the dales, make the short departure to Bedale and stop at this gem. The food and very friendly service lifted the last part of our long drive. Next time, I'll try the all day breakfasts!

Excellent friendly welcome late on a Sunday afternoon and our dogs welcomed in too. Fantastic tasty quiche and sausage roll served up quickly followed by equally great cakes. Highly recommended.
