Somerville House

Warm friendly welcome by the hosts. Stayed in room 3, which was huge! Very comfortably appointed, great facilities; lovely hospitality tray, smart TV, robes and slippers made it feel luxurious. Spacious bathroom with good shower, very fast supply of hot water with good pressure and beautiful claw foot double ended bath was a bonus! Fabulous breakfast choice, and cooked items were delicious, Beautiful Victorian house, decorated in the period. Quiet residential area so good night's sleep. Ample parking and a 20 min walk into Hereford centre, Would defines recommend and would return if in area again.

Sparkling clean and with decoration as fresh as a daisy, the hotel was comfortable and restful. The only reason for not giving the room a max score is that it was top of the house and was bit cramped. The host was extremely welcoming and the breakfast was terrific. Finally the parking was on site and most welcome. A great place for a stop over.

Amazing find close to the city centre where most of the houses have been converted into nursing homes and flats.

This traditional Victorian House remains. Beautiful inside, quality extras included as standard and really helpful hosts.

Fridge in our room supplied naughty treats at reasonable prices and the breakfasts were tasty, plentiful and well presented.

Nothing was too much trouble. Wonderful to find this level of b&b accommodation in Hereford!

A lovely well situated bed and breakfast close to Hereford town centre. Our room was large with a good well equipped bathroom, everything was beautifully clean. A wonderful view towards Hereford cathedral and the Black Mountains beyond. Breakfast was great with a good range of choice.We would not hesitate to return if we go to the area again. Hosts were lovely and friendly and everyone made us feel very welcome. Good car parking area to the front of the house.

Just returned from a lovely weekend here.
From our arrival to departure we couldnt have been happier with our choice.
Great hosts always available for any minor issues, and to explain or help with anything local.
Room we had was excellent, huge bathroom with a nice shower.
Bed was large and comfortable.
Little things in room made a big difference, such as a small fridge with honesty bar. Fresh milk in fridge makes a big difference, we hate the little plastic efforts so many places use.
Also a good fan helped with the heat.
Breakfast was also splendid. Loads of choice well cooked and presented.
Plenty of parking available, and only a 15 minute walk into the town centre.
We will certainly return , thank you for a great stay.

We had a wonderful long weekend stay here. There hosts were welcoming, the breakfast was top notch with butchers meat, towels were big and soft, shower great, Smart TV and fresh milk for tea in the room! All the little touches made for a relaxed weekend.
Our only comment and recommendation is that the mattress (top floor room 6) needs to be updated or a soft topper added. I could feel the springs... This is unfortunate as we could not fault anything else which is why the 5 stars still apply!!
The view from our room was exceptional too, overlooking Hereford town centre.
We will be sure to recommend to anyone wishing to stay in Hereford.

Great Hotel. Just a single night stay but would definitely visit again. Quick and easy check in, great sized room with a fully stocked mini bar. Everything was very clean and no complaints. Short walk to main town centre. Breakfast was cooked to order, definitely makes the difference and great quality. Owner recommended his homemade plum jam which was also excellent.
Hotel thinks of everything. Was offered de-icer and scraper in the morning as it was a frosty start.
I travel a lot for work and know a good hotel when I find one. Keep up the good work.

Oh my goodness me…. What can I stay? Really words cannot do any justice. Perhaps I had the wrong idea but I had always thought of B&B as grotty things but here is a place good as a hotel or even better!

I picked this because of the cleanses and I was not let down. The bed room was cosy and super clean. The breakfast was perfect. The first breakfast was a lovely creamy porridge and the next day was a full breakfast. No greasy spoon to be had.

The staff was wonderful too! Thank you for taking such good care of us.

Stayed for 3 nights and it couldn't have been better. Friendly welcome, staff were very helpful and went the extra mile. Breakfasts were excellent and the room was lovely. 5 star rating fully deserved.

The heartfelt hospitality provided by Ste and Sheila is outstanding. I feel really blessed to have had a genuinely pleasent and relaxing experience while staying here at Somerville House. Top marks for the room. Highest marks for breakfast and while you're staying here you must try the apple juice, an absolute showstopper.

Amazing stay, Sheila and Steve couldn't have done more to accomadate my partner and I. The room was beautiful, and the bathroom with free standing bath was everything I needed to relax! Only a short 10 minute walk from the center which makes for a quiet nights sleep. We will definitely be back when we can and look forward to staying with you again, thank you Sheila & Steve!

Stayed for 2 nights. Clean comfortable accommodation. Lots of little extras like local brews in the mini bar and the offer of fresh milk in the room.
Plenty of variety for breakfast and very welcoming hosts. Well worth a visit

Absolutely spotless hotel. Every last detail thought about and done so well. The hosts are extremely friendly and welcoming and very knowledgable. The honesty system is a fabulous idea and the breakfast was divine. First class quality all around.

Me and Steve had the best 3 night's. Rosie and Bill was very welcoming .Breakfast was very very good. Our room was very big and bright. Full fridge with nice Wines , BeersCiders. All very cheap price . We enjoyed so much we are going again soon. 😀😀😀😀

I am leaving this review on behalf of Iris Pope, my elderly mother who recently stayed here whilst attending a Remembrance service in Hereford. The staff were very welcoming, the room was spotless and comfortable, and the food was delicious and plentiful.

Brilliant 3 night stay last week. Lovely, spotless, large king size en suite room with comfortable bed. Fluffy towels, dressing gowns, enclosed powershower in bath, even slippers provided. Well stocked fridge at very reasonable prices. Welcoming and friendly. Huge choice at breakfast that was cooked to order.
Free Parking. Easy 15 min walk into the city to see the sights
