DaBa Spice

I recently visited Woodstock during an event at Blenheim Palace with my family. We entered the restaurant and it was fairly busy, nevertheless a young lady welcomed with a bright smile and sat us down very efficiently.

Since it was busy the food did take a while to arrive, but staff made sure to apologise and put a rush on our drinks and starters.

Once the food arrived it was beautifully set on our table and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. The atmosphere was very nice and friendly!

WOULD MOST DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!

We have visited this little gem of an Indian heritage late July 2024 .

I was a bit put off by negative review of a lady with soda fiziness issue

We arrived and were sat promptly on the most beautiful table in the restaurant - despite not having prior booking

The staff was incredibly attentive and lovely

Our warm poppadoms arrived in no time and were accompanied by lovely selection of dips

Then our plates were changed for hot new ones and food arrived.

What a wonderful feast to the senses!

Really do not be afraid of coming here! The guys behind it know what they are doing!

Got a takeaway after a long day was wonderful. Greeted by lovely staff and treated lovely whilst waiting for my meal. Highly recommend the Chicken Korma and Garlic Naan..

Popped in for a beautiful curry and few drinks.
First visit and not disappointed!

Ordered takeout to be delivered to Bleinham Lodges. Food was delivered promptly to our lodge. Hot and fresh ingredients. Perfect.

Great to see Da Ba reopen. Management is new but good to see some familiar faces still there. Had a lovely meal for 2 last night. Food was delicious, with some interesting changes to the menu. Staff looked after us well, and in no hurry for us to go when we finished our meal. We’ll definitely be back!

Excellent takeaways, best curry house we’ve found in Oxfordshire. Very fresh, tasty food. Love the Makhani, Dansak and Sag Paneer, but all curries we’ve tried have been good.

For quite some time I've been wanting to try DaBa out. I'm so pleased we did! It's definitely in my top three local British Indian restaurants. The food was perfectly cooked. I had Chicken Saag it's a good test as it's so easy to burn and leave a bitter taste. It's a DaBa chef recommendation and for my taste spot on. The peshwari Naan that I chose to accompany the meal, perfect. My partner had a vegetable Thali. This too was extremely good. Except the Rhita was possibly too sweet . All in all I highly recommend DaBa spice. Please go and support I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

This place is SO great. I am surprised the rating is only 4 stars?! It is definitely cooks 5 star curry! All sauces are made vegan and you can add meat if you like so my whole family is happy. The best local curry house around by a long way! Well done Daba.

The food was amazing... the staff are not the friendliest but come on... we mostly want to know how was the food. Very tasty and fresh. The only reason why I suspect this restaurant hasn’t got a better rate is because the staff are not very warm.

Beautiful food and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Thursday night is any two mains for the price of one. There was 7 of us and we all had different meals and there were no complaints of any of us. The total bill was reasonable too. I will be going back.

Outstanding Vegan food, the host was very knowledgeable regarding what items on the menu were suitable for vegan diners, the chef having lots of experience also cooking vegan meals. We had a delicious meal, everything was fantastic, we had the mixed veg dhansak, bhuna and bombay aloo with a chickpea side dish. The chapatis were fab and the plain rice lovely and fluffy. Was v impressed, a must-visit for any vegans, and also non-vegans. Fantastic, thanks :-)
