Castle Fish & Chip Shop.

Well, it’s 46 years since I was last at this place. And after banging on about how good it was back in 1978 to my wife, we went and bought fish and chips with mushy peas to eat overlooking the beautiful bay. And boy they didn’t disappoint. Generous portions. The fish was delicious. Best I’ve had by far. Staff were friendly too. Shame it wasn’t 1978 prices though. But that’s fish and chips everywhere. Ours came to £22 for both of us.
Will definitely return….and not in another 46 years😃

If the food is good you can expect the place to be busy ... allow 40 minutes to get served but it's worth the wait. Orders are taken and food cooked so it is just out the fryer as you pay - neat.

Freshly cooked cod and chips. So we had to wait a little while. Well worth it though. Crispy batter with no soggy bits and perfdct chips. Taken away to enjoy on one of the many nearby convienient benches with superb views. Seaside fish and chips at their best.

Absolutely fantastic service for a large order for our Scout Group. All freshly cooked and good size portions. Everyone said that the fish and chips were very tasty. Highly recommend this family run chippy.

Absolutely the best fish and chip shop I’ve been to in recent memory. All of the fish is cooked fresh for each order and is impeccable. The battered sausage is perfect and the gravy is thick.

All cooked to order and well worth the wait. Very friendly staff. Really excellent sized portions, great chips and the batter on the fish is so crisp and light and the fish is so tasty. Highly recommended. Best fish and chips we've had in a long time.

We had cod & chips on Tuesday this week, best fish & chips in such a long while. We enjoyed it so much we're going to have them again tonight. Portion size is perfect (as invariably there is so much wastage). We took them back to the holiday home in Geraint Road. Criccieth has been a lovely place to stay ... especially for the cod & chips 👍 Thank you (the Heaths)

We visited castle fish and chips today (27/7/24) right in the middle.of a busy Saturday service with an order for 7 people. The service was fabulous from what must have been very hot, busy and flustered 3 ladies who were still managing to have a giggle with us and humour the husbands short attention span over who has salt and vinegar 🤣 the nicest fish and chips I've had in a long time and portion sizes were spot on. Diolch a job iawn 👍

We've had fish and chips in England, Scotland, N/Ireland and even Southern Ireland but it's here, in Criccieth, Wales that we found the best fish and chips, ever! Outstanding and so friendly too! Thank you, worth every penny :-)

A fantastic chip shop were everything is cooked fresh. Ideal for Gluten free food as the chips are cooked separately from anything else and they will steam fish for you as well. Cooked and served with care. Thank you.

A very busy fish and chip shop so be prepared to wait a little while. Prices are as expected for a seaside chippy but the portions are adequate.
