The Falcon Hotel, Bude

A great little break away for our anniversary. A lovely hotel with a small number of rooms that offer plentiful space and comfort. The food in the brasserie was lovely. Originally booked for the bar area, but an event at the hotel, they suggested a more relaxed atmosphere. They were right! The food was lovely, staff in yhe restaurant very attentative throughout.

The grounds are lovely. Guests using the hotel also gave a private bar area around the gardens and a lovely view of the Canal... and a short walk to the stunning sandy beaches and town.

We chose the falcon as our wedding venue, Malia was absolutely fantastic and the day went smoother than we could ever have imagined due to her!
Thank you also to the staff who helped with all the chairs being moved and the food etc it couldn’t have been easy!

-The Room, amazing! Huge room with a massive bed and bathroom, fantastically decorated and clean. But the venue, Wow!

Great dog friendly hotel. Couldn't fault anything during our stay.
The food is probably the best hotel food we have tasted for many years, with really good size portions.
Beds are comfortable and rooms are very clean.
We will definitely be revisiting.

Attended the Falcon Hotel Restaurant as we were unable to be accommodation at another location and was recommended to us.

It was a birthday meal for my mothers 60th and have to say the whole experience was fantastic

We were greeted and shown to our table where our server was Wayne

Wayne provided exemplary service and was a credit to the hotel extremely polite and friendly just brilliant service

The food was absolutely brilliant first class with no long delays between each course

Overall a 10/10 experience and would highly recommend anyone to go

This seafront hotel is lovely. The beach is so close and beautiful. The service was excellent, as was breakfast. A stay here would be enjoyed by all!

I went with a group of 8 for Sunday lunch. I have to say the roast lamb was some of the best I have ever eaten, and I have eaten a lot of lamb in my 60 years.

Great experience, as always. I've never been anything but very happy with the food and service. Excellent and well worth a visit.

Brilliant hotel. Our room was well appointed, roomy and comfortable. The walk in shower was very welcome! The food is excellent too - the breakfast is one of the best I've had. There's plenty of choice and plenty of food. The evening meals are also very good and the service was prompt considering the hotel is clearly popular for dining. I have to mention the staff who are a credit to the hotel and help to make the stay that bit special. I would describe the Falcon as classy but not pretentious or stuffy and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone thinking of staying in Bude.

A most comfortable family weekend in Bude. I stayed with my wife and daughter in a family room on St Patrick's Day weekend. As we arrived there was an ensemble of local musicians playing Gaelic classics - what a welcome!
The room was perfect - at the front of the hotel overlooking the canal and beach. It was beautifully presented and felt very chic.
The staff are all incredible - genuinely friendly wanting you to have the best stay. The bar is well stocked with the best of the South West, and a great range of alcohol free options. Special mention to Clare behind the bar who introduced me to a spectacular local rum!
We look forward to training again soon.

Just spent 3 nights with our dog, our dog was made very welcome as well as ourselves, dog bed provided as well as bowls & treats, beautiful clean room with a view of the canal,secret garden was stunning. We ate in the bar every evening, well looked after & food lovely. Breakfast was just as good, great service, even the dog was spoiled with treats & sausage for breakfast, everything was clean & tidy. The staff were very friendly & a credit to the hotel, we will definitely be back

We had a lovely 2 night stay here. We had a room with a canal view, which was beautifully presented and very clean. A very relaxing hotel to stay in. All the staff were very helpful and friendly and made us very welcome. The restaurant is highly recommended and the food was lovely.

WOW !! We have been coming to Bude for years and on the off chance decided if we could book a family meal after coming straight off the beach!
We did and was certainly not disappointed!

Great hotel with superb staff and great location, stayed over a bank holiday weekend, great secret garden with a bar for relaxing drinks . Breakfast is superb and nothing to much trouble for the team. Shout out to Steve night porter who was a top man! Along with Alan on breakfast, Angela and …… sorry can’t remember front

A few months ago I stayed at The Falcon in Bude and I have to say, it was a fantastic experience. The hotel has a rich history, having been established in 1798, and the Brendon family has run it for most of its two centuries. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and they made our stay feel like home. The breakfast was great, and the location of the hotel was perfect - right by the Bude Canal and beach side.
The rooms are spacious and clean with nice views of the town. The interior also pays tribute to the long history of this hotel.

Overall, I would highly recommend The Falcon to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Bude.

Back again for a 5 star roast, Beef was perfectly cooked and even the "Small" portions were generous.

Sevice was professional and excellent, the same as every time we visit, friendly welcoming and very attentive.

Another review I hate to give only because it might mean we can't get a table next time :D but they deserve all the custom they get. Highly recomended

Fantastic place to stay. Our room large and comfortable overlooking the garden. Breakfasts ample, well cooked and nicely presented. Evening meal was superb. Staff were very pleasant, friendly and always on hand if we needed. We would certainly stay there again if we came back to Bude

Great place to eat, very convenient location food and service are second to none, I've never stayed so can't comment on rooms, but if the bar and restaurant are anything to go on I'm sure there very good.
Can recommend a visit as the Falcon never fails.. James.

Me and my husband came here for a 2 night stay to celebrate our wedding Anniversary on 14th July 2022.
Our room was spacious and clean and airy over looking the canal just lovely.
The breakfasts were superb with a good selection on the menu. We had a evening meal in the restaurant which was delicious and again a good selection to suit all tastes.
Last of all ,all the staff were amazing, polite attentive they all made us feel very welcome.
We will definitely be coming back. Debbie and Mark treece

Been a resident here for over a year due to working in north Cornwall. The hotel is clean and well kept, and the staff are excellent & can’t do enough for you. Perfect location, close to the beach and right on the canal. Excellent food and a good pint. 5/5
