Lovely little cafe and deli (all done up pink to support cancer research) just a couple of minutes stroll past the end of the shops at the top of the hill - but worth that extra two minutes!
The cafe is clean and quirky with a nice, warm feeling to it.The staff are lovely and friendly ( Jonathan - you are fab!👍🏻). There are two cosy dining areas and outside tables as well. The slice of carrot cake was delicious and was a generous portion! It's no nonsense food at competitive prices. Brilliant!

Great find, friendly cafe with added bonus of a fantastic Deli, or visa versa! We had toasted Cheese stones served with a slice of cheese and pickle from the deli shop. Really delicious.

Very nice breakfast. Friendly staff. Stocked up with the best steak pies in the area.

Don't go past go in, fantastic Deli, packed with great products, beautiful selection of quality cheeses, very helpful service and knowledge of produce,can't wait for our next visit 😀

Although we are regular visitors to Barnard Castle we had rarely ventured up Galgate. So this break we decided to explore and found this lovely family run deli and cafe. We were peering through the door of the drli when the assistant assured us that dogs were welcome. The cheeses were very tempting and we bought four different varieties. We then went into the cafe where we also received a warm welcome. It was comfortably busy with two regular groups enjoying company. We soon got chatting with people and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The coffee and walnut cake and fruit scone were delicious and we came back yhe next day and had the cheese scone with cheese and chutney. If we lived in the town we would make this our regular place for coffee and treats as well as lovely deli products.

Visited here yesterday and had lovely Latte’s and brilliant homemade Fruit scone and Cheese Scone really really good. Friendly staff and cleanliness of premises 100%.
It was nice to come across this “gem”after looking to park with no restriction so we could enjoy our visit. Highly recommended to give it a try.

Nice old cafe /deli with good food and great friendly staff.

Stopped here today for a cooked breakfast and hot coffee and my goodness we were not disappointed! Sausages and bacon were of the finest quality, fresh tomatoes, perfectly cooked fried and scrambled eggs, baked beans, black pudding and a generous helping of fried bread! The coffee was delicious and a good size. My little girl is dairy free, the staff are always happy to make adjustments to meet her needs. The cafe is such a family friendly place, a really welcoming atmosphere and there’s always someone to talk to. Stopped by their deli after, dangerous territory as there are so many treats on offer! We settled for three slices of cake, chutneys and some jam. The cakes were moist, fresh and unique. We sampled, sticky toffee, lemon drizzle and Victoria sponge. The staff are absolutely marvellous; welcoming, friendly, smiling and chatty. Love it.

Never have I experienced such fantastic food and service in the same place. Esther came over to take my order and ensured none of my food touched meat products since I am vegetarian. It was brought out almost right away, displayed beautifully. Highly recommend. Will definitely go again.

A brilliant place to eat home cooked food and get a beer or wine too. Deli is great and cakes superb. Christine and her staff are super and it’s dog friendly. Recommend the daily special and the cheese board. Great prices !! Wish it was open some evenings !!

I called at Andalucia with a friend for breakfast after staying for the weekend in Barnard Castle . The staff were very pleasant and welcoming and took our order straight away . The breakfast was excellent and beautifully presented all the ingredients were of a very high quality and cooked in just the way we like them. Following our meal we went through to the deli which is an absolute gem. The range of items available was incredible and we bought several things . I would recommend Andalucia to everyone , its location on Galgate is perfect for a meal or snack either before or after a look around the rest of this lovely town . All staff were lovely but I must give a special mention to a charming young man called Jonathan who served us and who's birthday it was . I ll certainly visit again soon

A very pleasant shop for a lunch and real good quality Deli for cheese, pies, cakes and preserves on a cold winters Day. Another visit with our Wednesday walking group fantastic service for lunch and shocked up from the Deli.

popped into Andalucía for a drink and a snack, served by the lovely lady Sarah . the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly service was swift food lovely and when the owners son joined us after his swimming trip at the local pool i was included in the discussion about his getting a neck massage from his friend who was in the shop!
what a lovely friendly place and would definitely encourage people to try the cafe out and the selection in their deli is exceptional. pop in and discover a whole host of treats to eat in or take away all at a very reasonable price nothing is to much trouble and you never know you may even get a free neck massage !

Stopped here for a quick lunch, stayed a while as the paninis and cake were delicious. Carrot cake is highly recommended. Thanks to the staff for making us so welcome.

When in barny go and try the stake pie..they are amazing fabulous cake s and good coffee .there's so much more go and see you won't be disappointed

I’ve been able to put together a beautiful food hamper with the help of the friendly staff. There are so many wonderful products to chose from I am sure it is going to make a fantastic and unique Christmas gift for my family member. Thanks very much too for packing and wrapping it so carefully - it’s looks fab. Also it was very kind of you to deliver it to me in Barnard Castle - very much appreciated.

I sat outside with coffee. A passer by heading for chemists stopped to chat. Although a regular visitor to Barnard Castle, he'd never before noticed Andalucia. I recommended the cafe, so he went in for lunch.
