A great new store in Barnard Castle that provides excellent value, easy free parking and wide aisles. Much needed here. Friendly staff and wide range of produce.

Good Lidl, standard, nice size and most items available. Situated next to a Home Bargins.

Good store, wide Isles, good selection of products although some are more expensive than other supermarkets. The staff have always been very welcoming and pleasant, especially Theo, who's always upbeat and friendly.

Where else can you buy Conference pears and drill bits? That's Lidl. Quiet on my visit. Huge bonus is the bank of 5 or 6 chargers from Fastned which were tricky to work initially but now very straightforward with their app, which does not show this location on it's map but somehow zeroes in when you're there.

As with all Lidl stores the product is of good quality but what makes this a good store is the friendly and helpful staff. If you have any issues they are always willing to help and nothing is too much for them.

Lidl at BARNARD CASTLE is very nice. Spotlessly clean and pleasant staff. There's toilets too. Again spotlessly clean. Ample parking and an home bargains adjacent. Called in whilst in the area in our campervan. Great prices. Lovely staff and a pleasant shopping experience. Well done

Very nice store. Went on opening day at 9.15pm. Spent ages in the middle of Lidl, lovely and quiet. Apparently had been rammed earlier. Great bakery. All well stocked.

Only slight disappointment... no self-serve tills. 😕 Have been spoiled at a slightly larger store that has them. Still, at 9.30pm, went straight through no problem. 😀 Staff all happy and helpful, even got a free trolley token!

Landscaping and space nicely finished. Plenty of parking, although walked this time. Will be our new main shop!

Nice addition to the area. Plenty of parking, charging stations if you need them. Nice and bright inside, plenty of room in the aisles. The bakery, omg! Amazing.

But they need to sort out the staffing issues! One poor frazzled lad on till with a queue halfway down the booze aisle because the other two staff were doing the work of 3/4 people so couldn't afford to spend time on till, bless the lot of them working SO hard!

Still gave 5 stars because the staff aren't to blame, they're doing the best the can, that's easy to see. Also, the bakery alone deserves full marks!

A new Lidl store in Barnard Castle. Easy access and good car park. A large, well-stocked shop with very competitive prices. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

A large and roomy store. Helpful staff and easily accessible to anyone looking for fresh food, sweet treats and an assortment of electronics/ home based items.

Great to see this big new Lidl open in Barney. Easy parking, bright interior with wide aisles and very helpful staff. Some fresh lines sold out today, but of course it's their first week of operation - Morrisons better watch out!! Or up their game.
I'll be shopping at Lidl from now on. 👍
