Anson Farm - Farmhouse Inns

We have been for lunch today (not our first time there neither), and as soon as we walked in, Sally greeted both ourselves and our little boy, she spent time chatting to our little boy who told her he was having turkey (the carvery). When we went to get the self service carvery, she made sure he got extra turkey, because he loved it so much. It's little things like this that make the customer experience lovely. Food was lovely and came after a nice place in the newly refurbished soft play area, which my son loved 🥰 they also do blue light discount, so great bargain!

First time visiting for me, we had the full english breakfast with unlimited tea/coffee. Food was really good, hot, well presented and staff were very friendly and helpful. They also have a small soft play area so I'll definitely be back with the kids in the near future.

Holy cow. We were at the Butterfly Experience 🦋 and were looking for somewhere nearby to eat. It was perfect. The food was absolutely amazing. Kid play area exceptional. My 4year old had the fish finger bap and was devoured. Husband and I had the carvery and put away an impressive amount of food. The gravy in particular was to die for. Highly recommend. If we weren't rushing for a flight we would have stayed longer!

This weekend I finally got the opportunity to visit Anson Farm. I first heard about this place a few years ago. And it painted a picture in my mind of free range chickens running free through grassy fields. Locally produced eggs, milk etc. After further conversation at a later date I was told this wasn't the case. But having said that I've heard they do a decent breakfast! I haven't tried the food as I only visited for drinks with some old friends (old as in I've known them a long time, not that they are elderly). Reasonably priced and a decent atmosphere. I'd happily visit again. Although they did close a little earlier than expected on a Saturday due to being quiet.

Went for a carvery on 9th January after a recommendation by a friend.

Nice pub with good atmosphere, play area for kids recently refurbished with a slide etc. Children’s meals well priced with a free scoop of ice cream. Haven’t tried the carvery yet….but looks very good!

Went with daughter and my son in law for carvery at 2:30 on a Monday,it wasn't as busy as I expected,
no wait to be served and pay for meals and drinks either, food was absolutely perfect but left no room to try the cakes. 😞 Small carvery next time and a slab of the fine cake.🙏

First ever visit. Wanted to go somewhere different for our 35th Anniversay. We were not disappointed. Service and food pretty prompt. Nice hot meal. Lemon cheesecake was exceptional. Next visit will be trying carvery.

Visited today with family. The ordering was quick and the food arrived at the table within 15 mins of ordering. Each of us had a main meal including gammon, fish supper and curried chicken skewers which were all really tasty and everyone enjoyed what they had with no complaints.
Will definitely return and would recommend to others.

Arrived today for lunch and was greeted by two lovely ladies sally and Sharon and the were both very accommodating and were able to get us a table despite being busy and us not having a booking …. They couldn’t have been more helpful… a credit to the buisness 😁

Another amazing visit today to our favourite carvery hot spot. As a work group of 4 we often travel from Sedgefield to enjoy the food and atmosphere. Not sure will get much work done this afternoon as drifting into a happy food coma. 100% back soon

Great food, great price. No complaints, 5 stars!

Friendly staff , great food at a great price. My last visit consisted of my wife having the lasagne which she said was the best she had had in years in a pub environment. I had the full English breakfast it was extremely filling. We also got the chocolate cake to have later in the evening with a cuppa. I would definitely recommend the anson farm for food and drinks

The food is excellent, generous portions and great prices. The service was fast and friendly. I highly recommended it if you’re in the area. The food is affordably priced, always delicious and clean. Superb service considering it was busy.

Desserts will knock your slippers off. All food and desserts were well beyond my expectations.
This place knows how to satisfy their clients. Always with a super nice mindset.
Carvery is good as well. You can dine in or take away. All well social distanced.

Came today with my partner and our little boy. He usually doesn’t interact with anyone but Tracy who works there was very friendly and made him feel at ease. She was helping a group of men look through the menu and decide what to order too, nothing was too much for her, she really is a lovely lady and a credit to her team! It was really busy and very hot, We even pulled the manager on the way out to let her know :) if your reading this Tracy thank you so much honestly xxx

I came to Anson farm with my family including my elderly grandmother. The staff were amazing with her and her elderly friend. Nothing was too much trouble. The food and service was fabulous. I will definitely visit again soon.

First time going for a carvery. We didn't book but they went out of there way to get us a table. The food was lovely and they had a huge selection.

Great food! Friendly staff. Jessica was our waitress & is helpful & a lovely young lady. Came here 7yrs ago on holiday & back again twice already. Will be coming again before we leave Thornaby.

Sharon & team were very welcoming, creating a very friendly atmosphere. Waitresses very friendly, & accommodating. A great family friendly restaurant.
The children’s play area is great, all kids playing happily.
The food was great, very good portions, the cakes are gigantic & gorgeous the carvery looked amazing. Pricing very reasonable
Plenty of space between tables so not sat on top each other
Highly recommend.
