Miles cheaper than anywhere else. Good classic pub food. Had small issue with mixed up order but rectified quickly and free drinks to make up for it. Crème brûlée top could do with perfecting 😂 but I’d say it’s a bit fancy anyway for a pub and cream bit was still amazing. Service and hospitality impeccabl thank you!!

Great place, good food, excellent staff /atmosphere and good value for money. My wife and I are here visiting friends and they are regular customers. So they suggested that we come here, I'm glad, they did. It was well worth the visit, and we will definitely be back in the future.

Absolutely lovely village pub, great place with amazing staff, so friendly. The food was gorgeous proper pub grub, they let dogs in too which is a bonus.

Great food and great host. Good honest home cooked food at great value. On holiday in the area and we have been in twice.

Huge jacket potato 🥔 delicious 😋 super tomato soup . And the cottage pie also really really nice but portion could of been bigger on that one. Hungry hubby! defo recommended to visit this beautiful pub, and the bar staff went above and beyond with a cheerful smile.

Great lunch, good size food. Warm and friendly staff. Dog friendly as cooked and made a little meal for our dog.

3x2 course specials plus 3 soft drinks for around £30, a cheerful barmaid and all in warm surroundings equals 3 happy customers.

My first time at the chequers and what a night. Amazing atmosphere great jam night. Everyone having a great time. It's one of those heart of the village pubs. A proper pub, with real people that just enjoy themselves. We shall be back. Honesty as always people. X

Couldn't ask for much more, held a wake in the back room, had drinks as people walked in and the buffet was a very good mixture of hot and cold food, very enjoyable, nothing was to much trouble, would like tho thank Kim and the rest of staff, thank you so much.

First visit to the Chequers lunchtime today. Six of us enjoyed some great food , Ale and service . It was recommended by our son so we booked a table and now it's high on our list for Great places to eat. With so many of our loclal pubs being painted grey and turned into gastro pubs it's good to find a proper pub. The locals are very lucky !

We have had 2 Sunday roast dinners from The Chequers and Kim and David have excelled their selves both time, can't supply photos because we couldn't wait to eat this delicious meal well done both of you and for delivering 😋🤗

The Elite Wimbotsham Golf buddies had our Christmas Dinner today here at The Chequers - what a great successful time was had by us all. The most spectacular dinner cooked by Kim, served by Chloe and Dave everyone of us had a great time and would recommend you try it. We all gave it 5 stars. Great meal. Great venue. Great company.
