Stopped by for a quick lunch with my fiance and dad! Nice atmosphere great to see people enjoying a Wednesday lunch! Loved seeing whitebait on the menu and a great selection of beers!

The foldgate inn is lovely inside, you have the quaint pub on one end and the lovely dining area on the other side of the fire place. The staff were lovely and accommodating to our party and their needs. The food (especially the hand made chips) was lovely, I would highly recommend going

Recently visited this past weekend and had a lovely Sunday afternoon carvery with the family. All tables were full, clearly a popular lunch spot, so very glad we booked in advance. There were lots of meat choices, I went for the turkey and pork - both very nice. My partner went for the beef which she said was delicious (and she can be a bit picky with meat!). The service was also very quick which we appreciated. Will definitely be back on our next visit to the area.

Thoroughly enjoyed this pub meal.
Cooked very well and tasted great. The Stilton sauce was the best I've had in a while, I would recommend it.

We went for our Boxing Day traditional meal out and we couldn't have chosen a better place. The food was amazing the atmosphere was great and the service outstanding. Staff were friendly and inviting. We will definitely book again for next year We will not be going anywhere else.

Popped in for a drink, first time in there, and everyone was warm and welcoming. The landlord and lady have recently taken over and were so friendly and personable. I really hope they do well and that they thrive at their new pub. Lovely place

Fabulous pensioners carvery today, roast beef for me & turkey for the wife, plentiful veg selection, spot on large Yorkshire pudding, gravy just like mother made 😋... So full with main course, our sweet, Strawberry cream slices was boxed to take away & have just enjoyed with a cuppa back home 😊... Service was very attentive too ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Our group of 5 visited on a Wednesday, our first visit as we were looking for a new venue for our regular catch up lunch. We were so pleased with the meal we've already booked our next visit. The set menu was great value and the light bites were lovely too. My husband and I are going to try the midweek carvery next week.

Went for lunch today with my partner and will definitely be returning! I had the home made steak and ale pie and it was by far the best pie I have eaten! My partner had a Jack cheese and bacon burger and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff were lovely, highly recommended!!

Absolutely loved this pub , staff amazing and the carvery is unbeatable, definitely recommend , phone ahead and book if coming in on a sunday as is very popular !

Lovely carvery, well cooked food. Service a little slow, but nice not to be hurried. Only criticism is the blunt cutlery

Lovely cozy Pub that served the largest scones that I have ever had. Best ever!

We as a family went last night for the carvery and really enjoyed our meal. The food was hot tasty and plenty of it! The service was quick and friendly .

visited Sundays 3rd December 2023 for carvery it was delicious 😋 lovely choice of vegetables and meat and also lovely and hot .
