Visiting family in the area and have always noticed how busy this place gets . Queued out the door to make an order so this shows how popular this takeaway is which to me is always a great sign . I ordered Hake and Chips , absolutely loved it , food was cooked fresh , and customer service was great , well done all involved , travelled down from south wales and really enjoyed this food !!

Best fish and chips I have ever had. I have been getting food here for 15 years, and it never disappoints. The cheesy chips are insane. The battered cod is so fresh and the battered sausages are also nice. Also very reasonably priced, and I cannot wait to try whole menu.

First and foremost, staff were lovely, helpful and pleasant (I appreciate how hard that can be in a busy hot enviroment like a chippy) Portions were well sized and great value, the smaller and regular portions were not excessive like some fish and chip shops. Chrios were very good, but the batter and the cod were fantastic. They also serve a wide array of other meals like pizzas etc. at the time I visited they were only taking cash payments but there is a cashpoint at the cop op opposite the chip shop. After 6pm you can park for free in the car park opposite rather thay trying to park outside the co op

Best chip shop around. Great service, great food and great prices. We travel the extra mile as it’s the best and worth it every time. A pleasure to see “Light” papers to read whilst waiting for takeaway.

Very friendly staff and a warm welcome. Amazing fish and chips. We had the cod and chips and the portions are very generous. We’ll definitely be back and would recommend to friends and family. Well done!

Every year we visit and it's traditional that we get Fish & Chips on the last Friday evening. And they never disappoint. They are always very busy but always polite and courteous.

Found John's Chippy whilst searching the local area on Google Maps. Read the reviews and I wasn't disappointed! Made to feel very welcome when I entered and everything was cooked fresh. Drove back to the caravan and everything was still piping hot! Everything was eaten - I would definitely recommend!

The best fish and chips I've had for years!

Thank-you again girls. Fabulous piping hot fish and chips, excellent quality and fantastic value. Consistent portion size on the chips as the girls use a takeaway pot as a measure, that is impressive and makes good sense. Well worth the 10 mile round trip from where we stay! Will be back again next year :)

I was very pleased when I visited this fish and chip shop which was the only one I could find in this area. They was very friendly polite and unbelievably cheap. They took my order and cooked it fresh to what I needed. I must say it was very tasty and the portions was very generous. Highly recommend this place if your visit in the area or are you just passing through. Will definitely come back.

Unbelievably tasty food, great portions and authentic fish and chips vibes! My girlfriend lives away from Somerset but when she is down we always come here! Recommend to anyone!

Called in while staying in the area. Good fish and chips , didn't have to wait long and the pricing was reasonable.

Amazing fish and chips.

Those girls really know their stuff. All fish cooked to order and a probe used on everything to check fully cooked. Also gloves used when touching food. I have never seen those two things ever.
Lots of locals and regulars in always a good sign.

I had plaice and chips and my boyfriend had cod and chips. Really well cooked and delicious. Excellent value as well just over six pounds each. Excellent am glad I went that little bit further to get figh and chips.

The only not so great bits is that it is cash only and they don't offer delivery.

Apart from those the only things that would make it even better is if they was free (or not as id be the size of a house haha) and vegan cheese for cheesy chips haha (damn allergies)

Beautiful meal. Garlic 'shrooms, cheesy chips, cod and best of all two portions of hoki. Much as I love haddock, plaice and cod, the hoki was gorgeous. Why does every chippy not offer it?

While working away from home for the last 14 months I was lucky enough to find johns chip shop, I would like to say what a fantastic place. The food is amazing and the service is even better! I would like to thank Rachael and all of her hard working staff for making me feel so at home and very full up.

I've been coming here for years and always had the best services in this chippy. Cheerful staff and they work hard to insure you get the best quality food and you can't beat the prices.
I live in the city and often come down to williton and surrounding areas but always make a point to visit this chip shop every time I'm down because the food is that good and love the prices.
Would I recommend, yes without a doubt.
