Incredible! Loved the food and decor of the restaurant! The summer rolls were delightful - super fresh with good quality ingredients. The staff were lovely too.

I regret not having been able to try more dishes. I keep being stunned by the great quality of food in Durham. Dishes at the Rabbit don't seem greatly adjusted for the West, which is always welcome, but they also don't take shortcuts on ingredients.

The atmosphere here was also particularly calming, music is smooth and not too loud to converse, temperature, decor, and general feel are warm and comfortable.

Service attentive while not overbearing. Truly a great end to end experience!

I was given a voucher for this place when I left work and was very pleased I did. Service was first class and we were made to feel very welcome. Dishes were enjoyable and served quickly and it had a great atmosphere . Large glass of wine expensive at over £10 🤯 . My 3 meat chow mein and his fish in ginger and soy were both good choices and the seafood starter excellent

This restaurant is deceptively large and had a wonderful atmosphere, perfect for a date night. The food was so incredibly good. The online reviews were correct. I had the best egg fried rice I've ever had, and I have lived in Asia for 10 years. It was so delicately flavoured and moreish. I also had the crispy shredded beef main which was amazing. The dumpling starter was delicious too. Great cocktails as well.

Lovely meal and atmosphere. Staff very attentive and great cocktails too. Not the cheapest by any means but you get what you pay for.

Quite pricey, but the food and service were excellent. Really nice atmosphere. Consider booking a table instead of popping in.

This restaurant was a very pleasant surprise. The food is a mixture of asian dishes, but cooked very well. One of the biggest culinary surprises were the green beans, I recommend them.
The staff is super friendly and helpful.
Probably best to book it in advance as they are quite busy.

Absolutely marvelous food and service.

And a note to the waiting staff. There were a few awkward tables around me that had additional needs and additional questions and not all of them we're put over politely or kindly. I was very impressed at how the staff dealt with the issues that were raised and the manner in which they dealt with them. Top marks for dealing with awkward customer!

Beautiful Chinese/Japanese restaurant. The decor and lightning really compliment eachother and set such a relaxed dining experience.

The food is delicious and well presented.

The staff are very attentive, polite and accommodating.

There is on street parking and it would be wheelchair accessible, they also have options for vegans, vegetarians and also gluten free.

I love Asian food and have eaten it in many different parts of the world. And let's face it, the UK is not known for having well seasoned food so my expectations were pretty low when it came to any chinese restaurant here. Well, I was proven wrong. The sweet and sour duck soup was one of the best I've ever had! And the Kung Pow chicken was not what I'm used to but it was also delicious! Not to mention the atmosphere was like a 1920s lounge. I would recommend this place, for sure!

We went up the rabbit hole rather than down! It was like the TARDIS inside, very busy...Good sign. Selection of cocktails and wine. Food was delicious and service was friendly. Only bad point was a lime and soda was £2.40 for half a pint....made driving expensive! Would happily go here again.

Classy restaurant serving fabulous Chinese food. The Won Ton soup is the best I've ever had. The ribs were cooked perfectly with a nice heat to them. My husband enjoyed the oysters and Duck Fried Rice. I was a touch under the weather but looking forward to returning to enjoy their cocktail menu. Highly recommended!

Excellent food. Small intimate place with 1920's Decor Shanghai supper club atmosphere with subtle jazz music. Essential to book.

Easily the best Asian/Chinese style food in the city with fantastic staff and ambiance. The back lit menu's are a game changer for anyone with poor sight.
Some of the best belly pork I have ever had, they do this dish phenomenally well, who ever cooks this knows their game.

Delicious food, so many items on the menu that I could have chosen but went for the katsu chicken curry, which had loads of flavour. The service was fantastic, never left waiting, glasses of water and wine always topped up and food service was quick. I loved the decor and the whole feel of the restaurant. The menus were an added treat IYKYK!

The Rabbit Hole is consistently amazing. My favourite restaurant in Durham, and it's not even close. They were brilliant for my graduation dinner, as they always have been! Wonderful food and excellent service - I really love this place!

The 1920’s inspired restaurant off the beaten track doesn’t disappoint. We ate in the dim sum lounge and had Asian tapas and it was amazing. Excellent choice on the menu, staff was excellent. Also enjoyed watching people getting confused on how to get in the restaurant. Upstairs in the restaurant is unlike anything else in Durham so worth checking out the a la carte menu. It has the wow factor that a lot of places in Durham lacks.
