We went tonight to celebrate my son's birthday and we had a great time. We were greeted by a lovely lady and we were served by the very friendly Lee. My son has allergies and Lee was very attentive, explaining what was safe on the menu. He kept checking on us, making sure we were having a good time. We had a fantastic time. Thanks Lee and the team.

We visited Ask in Durham last night. We were a group of four which included two users of wheelchairs. The staff quickly found a space that we could all fit despite there being a very large party in at the time as well as other diners. Even though the restaurant was busy the service was still very prompt. We didn't feel at all rushed to decide on our food and drink choices or to leave when wed finished. Our server, Lee, was super friendly and made us feel comfortable, he also had a bit of a laugh with us which we liked. We felt as if he couldn't do enough for us. I had the Seabass which was really nice along with a sorbet sunday which was refreshing. We had a lovely evening and Lee was a large part of it

I told the restaurant online in advance that it was my birthday and they really spoiled me, it was so lovely, I got a free cocktail with a happy birthday message on it. There was a lit candle in my dessert. Then I got a complimentary shot of lemencello. The waitress was just super lovely to me and my partner too.

The waiter Lee is soooo kind and so enthusiastic to us. All of us like his service and hope to see him next time. And the food is delicious, the price is reasonable😍😍

Warm greeting, attentive, friendly staff. Didn't wait long to be served or for our food. Our meals were really tasty. We left feeling very happy. Thank you

Unreal service for our first time coming here, greeted so nice from the start, the chit chat was so funny and made us feel so at ease! Incredible food and even better service!! Adjusted the menu to exactly the meal that I wanted, checking everything was okay, very helpful and friendly staff and nothing was too much of a bother!

My family and I have had a lovely meal here, the selection of food is fabulous as well as the warm and friendly atmosphere!
The staff were so accommodating and welcoming- our waitress Alicia took extra care to make sure we had everything we needed and more, a credit to the team. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone!☺

Come in with my 3 year old little boy regularly, he loves the kids menu.
Really good value for him, 3 courses. He get some nice dough breadsticks to start, a really good sized pizza and a chocolate brownie which he loves.
Service is always very friendly , our server Rachel and Alex couldn’t be more helpful

Very friendly staff with delicious food. Price is very reasonable, it’s not Michelin star but you know what you are getting and we have always been very happy eating here. Would definitely recommend

Me and my family came here the other day and we all loved it. The food was amazing and our waiter Andrew was lovely and very patient with us, making us feel very welcome. We will definitely be coming again.

Food was absolutely gorgeous. Lee has got to be one of the best servers we have come across! So friendly and attentive. He managed a lot of tables on his own with ease. We even noticed how it handled 'awkward' customers and went above and beyond!!!!! 100% we will be back again.

We’ve been regulars at Ask Italian in Durham now for a number of years. We had our first date here, we got engaged here and we’ve just celebrated 1 year until our wedding here as well tonight.
All of the front of house staff are welcoming, warm and friendly. Becky in particular has stood out to us the last 2 occasions we visited. After we got engaged there last year she went above and beyond for us on the evening. And when we returned tonight she recognised us and again made us feel welcome once again.
The kitchen staff were also lovely and friendly on both occasions too.
The food is always very good and the menu varied with lots of options for a range of dietary needs.
I think it’s fair to say this place is holds very special memories for us and we’ll be back regularly for as long as it operates.

A very good take away dining experience.
Firstly the food, packaged very well and the portions were generous, the snacks and pastas ordered were delicious.
My favourite is the tiramisu!The wine was packed separately and drizzled on when you ate it. very tasty, moist texture with a rich and creamy flavour of wine and milk, so yum!
Secondly, the service, not only the packaging is very good, the staff is also very attentive, warm and meticulous.The meal was kept in an insulated box until I came to pick it up.It was windy and rainy outside and my meal was very carefully wrapped in extra plastic bag to prevent the packaging from getting wet.

We had some lovely food and a few little free taster drinks which was a very nice touch …. Our server Alex was excellent and service along with the food makes a great experience .

Can't go wrong with Ask Italian. The food is amazing, portion sizes are huuge and the staff are super friendly. We hadn't booked a table and it was a busy Saturday night but they managed to seat us straight away. I would highly recommend the elderflower G&T! 💚

went here with my friend the other day and the food was amazing. the service was quick and the staff was polite. my waiter, andrew was polite and patient while i decided what to order. i will definitely be coming back.

We love coming here when we go to the theatre in Durham. It's our 'safe' place for our children. They are brilliant with dealing with allergies and have been so accommodating with our son's sensory food challenges too.
The service is fabulous and we really enjoy coming here. Lee has been our service almost every time we've been and its always been spot on
