Absolutely rapid repair, despite being mega busy. Was quoted between £550 and £995 for a repair prior to the visit and was delighted to find out it was the lower estimate. Many garages would have just slapped the higher price on it regardless of what they found. Appreciate the honesty, speed of repair and friendliness. Will be using as my go to garage in future.

Suzuki swift booked in for 9. Got a call at 11.30 to say it's ready to be picked up. Handbrake shoes and rear wheel cylinders needed replacing. Very fair price. Highly recommend this garage.

I called this morning with a battery issue, they asked me to bring the car in and they solved the issue within the hour. The man who did the work talked me through his findings and was up front about costs, which were very reasonable. Highly recommend, and I'll be returning in the future when I need more car work done!

Best service, I punctured a wheel on the road, I went to services like Kwik Fit and HiQ tyres, they refused as they are very lazy and disrespectful to their work, I came to these guys and they agreed to help me, I am really very grateful to them and thankful because they got into my situation as I was in a hurry and I needed to repair the tyre urgently.

I have taken my car here for a while now . Honest and friendly. They don't charge you for more than what needs doing

I cannot fault this place. I had a coolant leak which they thought they had rectified after having the car for 5 days. Unfortunately, the leak persisted and they immediately took the car back in and stripped the engine again until they identified a further few parts further into the engine which were leaking that originally went unnoticed. All secondary work (a further 4 days of it being in the workshop) was done free of charge. A week later, 3 warnings on the dash and the engine light came on, took it back and they ran a diagnostic check. Subsequently cleaned and dried various sensors to remove the errors. They did this free of charge as it was potentially part of the initial job which caused the issues.

Thank to Steve for his friendly and courteous approach to looking after me 👍 I'd go nowhere else now. It's about time we had an honest local mechanic worth trusting.

I bought myself a car and on a family recommendation I took it to Autosafe for a timing belt/water pump then later I returned for front brakes, a shock absorber and a sump. Andy and his team at Autosafe are great to deal with, very knowledgeable, keep you informed, very reasonable pricing, great customer service and went above and beyond to help when the car had to stay in over the weekend by offering their courtesy car so I could get to work. I can't recommend them highly enough, I'll not be going anywhere else.

I emailed this garage for a price to do some work on my daughter-in-laws car and got a prompt response. The price was competitive and Andy promptly answered my questions regarding potential costs if other work was required. The work was carried out a few days later with no additional work or additional costs. Would certainly use this garage again, based upon this experience.

I have now used Autosafe twice. I have a diesel fiesta and it had starting problems, while the issue was a pain to find nothing was a problem for Autosafe, they even offered a courtesy car!! The problem was fixed and I've had no problems since. Second problem was the car had started whining, I thought it was going to be an expensive fix, it turned out to be a belt guide which needed fixing. The problem was sorted in one day, they were honest and never tried to over charge when they could have easily done so like many other garages would have done. It is such a relief to find a hardworking, honest and reliable mechanic that goes the extra working. Thank you Autosafe!

I have used AutoSafe a couple of times now, once for a repair to my Jaguar and again for MOT and ensuing repairs. I have found them helpful, friendly, reasonably priced and professional. They communicated perfectly, and were happy to provide alternatives when dealer spares prices became an issue. I will be taking my car back when necessary, and I can trust them to do a proper job at a fair price, a rare thing these days. Highly recommended.

2021 Update: To back up my previous review from 2013, I have continued to use Autosafe without reservation. I still have the same car and it has needed quite a variety of electrical and mechanical work over the years, nothing seems to phase them. From MOT, to broken suspension, to weird ABS faults, all undertaken and resolved professionally, at reasonable prices.

I have had lots of work done at this garage and recommend them highly. What you see is what you get, no frills, no false promises and no unexpected repair bills. Always get told the best and worst case scenario ensuring no heart attack moments when the bill is payable.

Most reliable friendly honest garage in Newton Aycliffe by far and it's the cheapest. I did price comparison with all the other garages in the area it was so much cheaper I've had lots of different types of jobs done and it's always been the best priced .the MOT price is £39 average brake pad change is about £50 - 60 .
