I can find no fault in this lovely establishment at all! A beautiful building inside and out to start with. We had a booking for 3 and had had to change the time because of traffic which was no problem at all. The staff were very professional and friendly and showed us to our table outside. The choice of food was excellent and we were told they had a fresh fish delivery that day so I chose the lobster for my main and I had the goats cheese and asparagus tart with poached egg to start. The food is of very high quality and was delicious. For dessert I had the vanilla cheesecake with strawberries and they kindly wrote happy birthday in chocolate around my plate.
If you have a special occasion or just want an excellent meal this is definately the place to go.

One of the best roast dinners I have ever tasted! The staff were extremely polite and friendly and extremely accommodating. The arena outside is super chill, with "wagons" for a more intimate experience, with heat lamps. Will definitely be back!!

Such a super meal - we ended up having 3 courses as everything was delicious and well thought out. The flavours blended amazingly well making every mouthful a pleasure. The staff were delightful too.

Tried the new menu today. Fish&chips always a winner. Vegan burger was well received by our vegetarian. Pork belly was very good. But my duck dish was amazing, probably the best restaurant/pub dinner I've had in years.

And birthday pudding was a lovely touch.

My partner and I came for lunch today and it's safe to say we'll definitely return. The food was delicious and Matt who looked after us today was fabulous, so friendly and made us feel very welcome. I'd definitely recommend.

*dog friendly* bar area. Lovely meals, cocktails and great service at The Greyhound Finchampstead, as usual. Great spring menu - 2 or 3 courses, £21/ £24. Great food, and great value. Dog treats and water bowl waiting at our table. Love this place.

Booked here for a birthday meal and checked reviews prior and certainly lived up to expectations. Ordered a few snacks to share for starters.
We all Ordered beef Wellington x 6 as sharing between two it was cooked amazing and all sides accompanied this perfectly.
Friendly and helpful service and manged to have table in pub as we have dog with us.
The puddings were ok bit disappointed compared with mains.
Lovely family celebration dinner and certainly pub to recommend!

We had a fantastic Sunday lunch for 4 here yesterday. Starting with some delicious Oysters and followed by the Greyhound’s superb Sunday roasts (beef and lamb was the choice of our table). The roasts were perfect and the added bonus of bottomless sides was great. Service was very attentive and Brian looked after us with great service and good humour too … we also enjoyed some fabulous wine from the varied list

A perfect lunch in the lovely surroundings of the Greyhound - would 100% recommend - you won’t be disappointed !

Superb! The food, service and general atmosphere is fantastic, would describe it as casual fine dining more than a pub. Children’s menu needs some work, but staff very accommodating with my sons fussy requirements.

The greyhound goes back a very long way for me. I’ve known it for as long as I’ve lived in Finchampstead and that’s coming up to 20 years.

I’ve seen it change from hand to hand and it only seems to be getting better. I remember going with my Grandad after school to have a pudding! With a lot of strong competition in the area, The Greyhound is still my go to.

My mum, I and my grandad ate on Easter bank holiday Monday and were very satisfied. It was safe to say there was no room for any chocolate after the well-sized portions. The eloquent young lady who partly served us stood out as extremely polite and caring.

I have never had bad service here. I’ve been here approximately 50+ times in my lifetime and it never fails to disappoint. The food is always excellent, the staff are very professional and friendly. Even the chairs are exceptionally comfortable, which seems to be rare to find in a pub nowadays!

Pat on the back to the Greyhound team!

We thoroughly enjoyed our impromptu visit to this lovely place. The decor make the Greyhound very welcoming and stylish creating a relaxing and cosy ambience. Three bar area is just perfect to enjoy drinks, snacks and a chat with friends. The restaurant is very well laid out and has character.
Most importantly the food was absolutely excellent. It's refreshing to see a menu which is both seasonal and clearly has been given some thought. Interesting, well balanced dishes make it really difficult to choose what to order. I suppose that's a good sign for a great restaurant, you just can't wait to go back and try other dishes.
Everything we ordered was exceptionally well presented and packed with wonderful flavours.
The quality of the service was outstanding. Our waiter, Alistair looked after us really well. He was highly professional. His knowledge of the menu meant he was able to describe with authority and in detail each dish.
Attention to detail was clear throughout, from the food to the service.
The Jerusalem artichoke, truffle and almond ricotta starter was an excellent combination of flavours. The other starter was just as tasty consisting of smoked goose breast, rilette and chutney.
For main course the shepherds pie served with a lamb cutlet was absolutely sumptuous. An open tart of pumpkin, chicory, ceps puree and finished with grated Old Winchester cheese delivered in both flavour and texture.
We will definitely be back soon to make sure we try some of the other dishes as well as the very appealing dessert menu.

Beautiful restaurant with a stunning outside area.
Great food and fantastic service 😊
Vegetarian roast option was delicious 😋

Only improvement would be to make the menu clearly highlight the vegetarian and vegan options 🌱

First time back here in about 25 years. It’s changed for the better. Good food and great service from a very personable waiter called James.
Marmite hollandaise is a must for any Marmite fan even if only to dip your chips in.

Fabulous countryside pub, spacious and lovely inside with a big garden and decked area to the side. The team here goes the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and welcomed. Good menu with good vegetarian options. In connection with the pub there's also a very cute and well stocked farm shop. Overall a brilliant experience and very good food!!

Everything was excellent here and I'll certainly be returning. The service in particular stood out, the staff were very attentive and the bar staff were totally crushing it, every order was delivered very rapidly. The Sunday Roast was amazing with great trimmings.

We had a great experience. It is more expensive but you are taken care of. The venue itself is splendid to look at from the outside and in. Staff are welcoming and check-in often enough to attend to your tables needs but not so much to be obtrusive.
The carpark is uneven so do take care.

Fab food. Underrated place, should be packed given the quality of the food, decor, and ale! Really good.
