We absolutely love here and it's very quiet. Caravans are lovely and clean, they are very quick to solve any problems you have and they are just really nice people. The villages in and around the area are great, there are lots of walks etc for outside people or dog walkers, beautiful scenery and not far from castle Douglas. Theres is a chocolate factory and ice cream making about 20mins away from caravan for kids. For those that just want peace and quiet then this is the place to come. We have been here twice now and love it.

Fabulous place to stay, Lindsay and Ian are always available to help, set in great position just off the 75 between Dunbfries and Stranraer ideal for a visit to Ireland, set in a beautifully village with a pub and shop and a local bus rout.
Lovely walks and horse riding close by the Park has beautiful caravans to rent and buy, once you've been you'll definitely be back .

Creetown Caravan Park is a wonderful, hidden gem of a place, perfect if you’re either with or without children.

If without (lucky you 👍) there’s plenty to do around the parks location. All the information you’ll need to exploit your precious annual leave to the nth degree is provided by the park.

The village itself has a bar, swimming pool, village store (manned by the lovely Louise), an art/craft shop, a close knit population, and a river that runs through it, the Gem Rock Museum, and a Death Star in the village square 👊🏼

If with children well, it’s the same, only the site itself is geared toward families with children. It’s safe, beautifully kept, a lovely play area sited in the centre of the park, and the swimming pool is a simple walk along the road.

The views to the front of the park are stunning, and there’s an abundance of beautiful walks, bike rides and meanderings, along with a welcoming air that’s tangible.

Onsite facilities include a laundry, toilets and showers, chemical disposal point and EHU. If you’re after a park with an on-site shop/bar, then choose a site that has them. Or better yet just go to Spain 👋

I can’t recommend Creetown Caravan Park enough. It’s beautiful, peaceful, a great choice for outdoor lovers, and safe as houses (that don’t fall down) for those with children.

Site managers Lindzay and Ian are the heart of the park, and both are clearly invested in their chosen vocation. They’re available, friendly, and visible. Nothing’s an issue, they manage the site with aplomb, and they’ve introduced a wealth of wildlife that can be found in and around the park.

Owls, penguins, squirrels, even a donkey. They’re all a bit wooden for my liking, though the Donkey is a bit pushy when it comes to begging for fresh herring, and the penguins are sick of him bagging their fish.
