Great service from Balfe’s bikes from all the staff that dealt with me and my family today but Ian in particular went above and beyond to make sure that the bike we were choosing was perfect for my son and most importantly safe! He gave some great tips for riding the bike and also leant a hand with my little girl whilst I was trying to sort out the details for my sons bike. Super easy to do business with and the bike was built and ready on the same day! Excellent service and won’t be going anywhere else anymore!!! Super happy, thank you!!!

Bought a Tarmac SL7 - staff were superb.. very patient with me constantly undecided at 54/56 size frame.. very helpful in ordering/deposit and building the bike (usually like to do that myself but decided to let them do it - great job).

Had some technical issues with my new bike and the original di2 setup. Ed and colleagues managed to squeeze me in to their workshop and diagnosed the problem quickly and remedied the issue within not time. Excellent customer service. Gained some expert knowledge of how to use di2 settings also :)

Great service all round. Bought the bike online but arranged to collect in store, staff were really helpful handling deposits and managing the process of paying with Cycle to work Scheme.

When I collected the bike from the Gatwick store, Dan explained everything I need to know about the bike, using the gears, maintenance and setting everything up. A very busy store, but I appreciated the time taken to set me up and get me on my way.
Would recommend and use again.

Balfe’s are absolutely brilliant, I have used them numerous times to fix issues with my bikes. They are really reasonably priced, staff are fantastic, friendly and very knowledgable. Could not recommend them enough. Their shop also offers a great range of products and it’s really easy to do click and collect for anything they don’t have in the shop.

Great Bike shop. Nice bunch who know their stuff. Had a motor swap out under warranty by Ed and was perfect. Was called when the part was in and recommended to swap a gear cable at the same time (as under the motor) saving me money later on. 5 star and will use again and again.

Brought both our bikes in to purchase replacement rear cassette’s. The guys kindly offered to fit them there and then while we waited!
Special thanks to Dan, Kai and Aaron who carried out the work and also gave our bikes a thorough check over for good measure.

The delivery time window fell right at the time when I had a meeting I could not postpone but they were very understanding and accommodating to deliver the bike right after the meeting.

I received both at the Reigate and Gatwick stores was superb.

When I tried on a pair of cycling shoes that were recommended to me in the Reigate store, they just weren’t right for my feet, and the shop assistant called the Gatwick store where they held a pair of shoes for me that fitted perfectly.

Thanks to the team in Reigate and Keith in Gatwick, you couldn’t get better service.

Building out some new DT Swiss wheels for my gravel bike, Keith and Dan at the Gatwick branch were a great help recommending the right components as well as offering to fit them to my new wheels.

I called into Balfe’s Bikes at Gatwick with a snapped front brake cable while cycling to Portsmouth to catch a ferry to France. The Balfe’s guys were absolutely fantastic and got me back on the road within 30 minutes. Many thanks for your help and providing some good old fashioned customer service. We wanted to give a big shout out to Keith in the work shop, who sorted a couple of bike boxes for us at short notice. Outstanding customer service and could not have been more helpful. We also picked up a couple of tools at a good price.

Bought a Giant Defy as an introduction into road riding having come from an mtb background. Carrying long term injuries it was great to get invaluable help from Keith with the fit on the bike. It really was a welcome surprise to see the effort and detail provided by Keith in making sure that the bike was ready to go; that I was comfortable with the fit on the bike and that the whole purchase went smoothly. Being able to chat to Keith and take in some of his experience and advice made my day. The whole staff working at the shop were friendly and engaging, with the experience leaving me really glad I chose to go to the Gatwick branch. Very impressed and I’ll be making sure I recommend the branch to friends.

Fantastic service from Steve, Edward and Dan. They handled a frame that was faulty and a very complicated warranty repair. They ket me updated on the progress and were always helpful and cheerful. Many thanks for great service!

We purchased kids bikes with the assistance of Steve. We really appreciated the balanced advice that he gave us - particularly around pricing and sizing (never at one moment did he try to over sell). He was also fantastically patient with, and interested in, the kids’ opinions - so they really felt that they were the decision makers on the bikes and the accessories. It is definitely worth going to Crawley for the available selection and Steve’s excellent service.

Special shout out to Daz! Was extremely helpful on 2 separate occasions i.e. Tubeless set-up and a broken wheel spoke repair.

I have owned & sold a few bikes now and been using Balfes since they took over (from Evans) on a number of occasions. Workshop staff are really informative, helpful and give good advice. Have had various types of repairs and service carried out and certainly recommend them if you have a cherished and much loved bike! Have also purchased some bike spares or parts like tyres, mud-guards, chain lube etc.

Highly recommended place for your all in one bike go-to place.

From start to finish, the process was brilliant. At the beginning Josh was spot-on give me all the correct information and excellent advice on what bike to buy.
