The Oundle Bookshop

Please ignore Joan's 1 star review. The staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. I've been in the shop every month for years and have never found them anything but.
The shop is well laid out, there's a feature table, a sofa for tired feet, a 50p bargain box and lots of quirky books. Anything they don't have, can be ordered.
The shop has links to the Oundle Literature Festival with signed books from the authors.
It's my little oasis of calm amidst the maelstrom of life.

Great bookshop. Many selections just a little bit different from normal suggests a real love of books and customer service.

A lovely find on our trip to Oundle. Well stocked. Friendly staff and a nice sales corner. A nice section on local history, old airfields etc.

A wonderful bookshop

I went into this bookshop today, enquiring of a book I had not the correct title of but that it had a blue cover. The young girl behind the counter(2 plaits) took time to see if she could find it on screen, and yes she did, very kind and helpful assistant. A ver happy Christmas to you, keep up the good work.

Well stocked village bookshop with a host of categorised sections. Gifts and stationery too.
Staff were very friendly on our visit.

Visiting the area on holiday. I was really looking forward to going to this book shop. On entering the shop I said good morning to the bookseller (specs short dark hair)who stared at me and blanked me out. I repeated the greeting whereon another assistant acknowledged me. It doesn't cost anything to make a visitor feel special.

Good discount book selection both me and my husband bought books but this unfriendly service was disappointing! Perhaps a customer service course would help this particular bookseller!
