Slipped Discs

My first visit to Slipped Discs record store today.
What a fantastic experience. I found some absolute gems that I have been looking for and James introduced me to a new band I’ve never heard of but fell in love with instantly, I bought the album immediately.
If you’re into vinyl it’s well worth a trip to see what’s on offer.

Made a special trip here from Brighton and was very glad that I did. This is a brilliant record store. Fantastic selection of vinyl both new and used. I am a sucker for the latter. Found three gems I was looking for at what I regard as being a very reasonable price. Charming owners too. Do visit if you can.

James couldn’t possibly have been more polite, helpful and knowledgeable. For sentimental reasons I was seeking several albums from my teenage past as I wanted to frame them, therefore the covers in particular, needed to be in in good condition. James came up trumps and even acquired one quickly which wasn’t in his stock at the time. I cannot recommend him highly enough. If you have some spare time, pop in and wile away an hour perusing through his wonderful shop.

The service I received at Slipped Discs cannot be surpassed elsewhere. James is so knowledgeable and helpful - after reaching out to him for his help, he identified the issue I was having with my turntable/LP (not even bought from his store), gave loads of great advice, and ended up selling me one of his old decks at an incredible price! There was absolutely no pressure behind the sale. I am now a proud owner of a Technics 1200 Mk 2. The most amazing service and advice every step of the way, thank you. Recently sold my old vinyl collection to James at Slipped Discs. Was offered a good price and was a very quick and easy transaction. Would highly recommend.

I contacted Slipped Discs a couple of months ago as I wanted to replace a vinyl album, James not only contacted me to let me know that he now had an original copy in stock but it was in as close to mint condition as you could wish for both the album and sleeve plus insert.
I cannot recommend Slipped Discs highly enough and will certainly be visiting the shop in future. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

opened up a copy and played it then got
back to me on Facebook. Brilliant.
I managed to get over to visit them today
and have picked up a really nice little haul
including the Tarzan soundtrack!!

Looking to sell my old vinyl records, I emailed three local dealers that advertised in 'Record Collector' magazine. Slipped Discs was the only one that replied.

James came to my home and I was immediately impressed by his courteous, friendly manner coupled with a professional approach.
After taking time to carefully sort through my collection he did not 'cherry-pick' and made me what I thought was a very fair offer for the entire collection.

I did not feel at all pressured and immediately accepted his offer, and he made the payment right there and then by instant bank transfer, showing me the payment going through on his phone.
I was happy to help him out to his car with some of the boxes of records. (Another plus point - he brought along some sturdy plastic boxes so there were no problems with finding something to put the records in).

I have since been singing Slipped Disc's praises to all my friends and am more than happy to give them a full five stars.
If you're in Sussex and looking to sell your old records then I can not recommend them highly enough.

I asked James if he could keep an eye out for an inexpensive record player for me as I have a few vinyl but wanted to increase my collection and he managed to source a great little player that is perfect for what I wanted. Really great quality items and super friendly and helpful service. Highly recommended and will be a return customer for sure.

Small but impressive collection w/ reasonable prices.

One of the best record shops I’ve been to in years, set in a very idyllic location, I would highly recommend. The staff are very attentive and have a wealth of knowledge and they are always happy to help.
The highlight of my trip to Steyning and I will definitely be back soon. Well worth a visit.

Nice liitle hidden treasure a bit off the beaten track. I came away with two Frank Zappa cassettes which made my afternoon.
