SPAR Lord Street

A previous review is either ancient or fabrication. The shop has a very good variety of goods for a corner shop, particularly their wines and spirits.
More importantly, the staff whom I have met are absolutely lovely, helpful, friendly and professional. This is a credit to the franchiser and the company generally.

The staff are always the friendliest around and there is a great choice of goods for a shop its size.

It's also really handy for me being around the corner and the opening hours are brilliant. This comes in handy when you have a tendency to forget to pick things up, like I do.

SPAR in Lord Street, although small, stocks a good selection of food and household products. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Only a couple of staff members are ever friendly or polite to me in this shop, as they seems to be with every other customer. However every other member of staff usually refuses to acknowledge my existence whilst in the ship or even being served at the till. There is an older, short lady that was friendly to be during my first visit to the shop, until I asked to purchase tobacco and this stopped the friendly attitude dead, I have visited the shop numerous times since then, only to feel like a grudge is held against me. I have just left the shop and five members of staff did not acknowledge my existence but one did engage in staring me down for an uncomfortable amount of time. The staff did not refrain from stocking shelves around me and limiting my personal space, an unusual move to pull against someone you haven't acknowledged. I was then served by the same older lady who again seemed standoffish in her attitude towards me whilst never pausing a conversation with other staff. Despite my own thank you to this member of staff, the common courtesy was never returned as she was already deep in her conversation, as if my presence had never occurred. Due to similar visits over two years I rarely use this shop but am usually greeted with a bad experience whenever I visit, depending on the staff.

I'd leave a zero if possible. Spoken to like a dog by one member of staff, a lady.

There was a spillage in the queuing Isle.
We were asked to move to a different Isle. We were then shouted at with attitude as to why we were in this Isle. She then said "can I just get everyone in the same isle" but neglected to say which Isle leaving myself and others wondering what to do. I spoke up at this point and was going to ask for clarification, "if we can just chill out, which..." I was then cut off and barked at with "its like I'm speaking to a brick wall, your all stupid." Dropped my stuff and left. If I see her again I'll tell her about her attitude problem. But am looking to see if there is a complaint option with SPAR.
