Always pop in several times when in Norfolk - top quality products, fantastic service from very talented, knowledgeable and friendly staff. You can't get better quality than these guys. Prices are very good. There's also an excellent farm shop right next door.

Great fishmonger that we came across whilst camping. We enjoyed the hand dived scallops and oysters, and brought back a locally caught wild seabass which was so fresh we had to make sashimi out of it!

We love this fishmonger. Fish is always fresh and the staff will prepare it for you and offer advice on cooking. A great selection .
It is a shame the breads have disappeared as they were the best breads ever!

Nice to find a proper fishmonger nowadays.
Superb Halibut and some sweet clams helped make a delicious supper.
The shop is stacked with traditional and smoked delicacies.
Will be back when next in Norfolk.

We recently holidayed near brancaster and on the way back picked up some freshly smoked salmon. I can honestly say I have never eaten salmon better than this! I cannot recommend this place enough

I bought a large dressed crab, I must say it was the best crab I have ever tasted. Lots of beautiful white meat. Shall definitely be going back. They were very helpful.

What a fabulous fish shop, lovely blokes, beautiful fresh fish, all sorts of fresh butters and sauces. You have to try the hot smoked BBQ salmon belly OMG! It was gorgeous. Definitely worth a visit

Friendly staff, great selection of both fish and shellfish. Hard to make a decision on what to have! Allowed a taste of the oysters.

The best crab around, very clean premises and friendly staff

Bought the ingredients for a fish platter as a Christmas dinner starter - plus other things I couldn't resist. Everything was absolutely delicious. Loved the mussels - they went without reaching the table - and the smoked prawns, crayfish, smoked salmon, pate etc, etc. truly excellent. Worth every penny and not a scrap left!

Premium products at premium prices. Lovely selection of other food outlets at this location. Quite busy with some difficulty finding parking

Get there early when the ice display is full, we were lucky and got the last oysters, good selection of seafood, smoked and fresh and great value for money. Dressed crab looks amazing.

Went into Gurneys after getting a meal at Eric’s.

Wide range of wet, shell and smoked fish as well as sourdough bread and samphire.

Good prices and great quality produce- we had oysters, hand peeled prawns, crab and the fish cakes all of which were delicious.

On way home we stopped off and bought a lobster, hake and cod and of course some more fish cakes.

Well with a visit for quality fresh fish, will certainly be going again.

Update- the fish bought to take home has been delicious too.

Regular customer whenever we visit. Great selection of local fish, stiff fresh and fabulous whether you want fish shellfish or smoked. My 11 year old daughter tasted her first oyster this week and loved it. The staff are really helpful and accomodating. Highly recommended, with such great quality you can rival eating out anywhere. Gurney's has by far the best seafood in the area!! Their smoked prawns are to die for and the oysters and lobster are also amazing, so fresh they had been caught and on the campfire less than 5 hours later!!! Delicious

My wife and I visited Gurneys Fish Shop and Smokehouse, Thornham, Norfolk on Saturday, the 23rd of April (2022). The seafood on display was amazing. Everything looked so incredibly fresh. The thing that struck me was how very friendly, polite and well spoken the staff were. They all seemed very knowledgeable regarding the products they were selling, how very refreshing, a far cry from some establishments that know nothing or very little about their products. Well done chaps.

Visited Gurney's many time over the years always highest quality, fresh, and helpful staff. Highly recommend Mr Gurney's own smoked prawns, worth the trip alone!

Great fish. Fantastic priced lobsters. Very helpful staff. Will definitely visit again when I am up again.
