Evie Black Occasion Wear/Mother of the Bride & Groom Outfits

I was very stressed about getting my mother of the bride outfit, but from the moment I contacted Evie Black I felt comfortable. The choice of dresses was fantastic and Sandra went above and beyond to provide us with what was needed (my mum got her grandmother of the bride outfit too). I will recommend the shop to anyone who needs an outfit for their special occasion.

After looking online for a mother of the groom outfit i found a designer I liked. Evie Black was one of my local stockist, so I made an appointment for yesterday and I was not disappointed. Sharon was lovely, patient and knows what is right for you and suggested I try a few other similar dresses. I was lucky enough that the dresses I saw online were still in stock and my size was available as I didn't realise I had left it quite late to look. I tried around a dozen dresses with hats in various styles and colours and came a way with a gorgeous dress that hadn't been the one I had my eye on, but it was the same designer and im sure i will feel very special on my son's big day. Thank you Sharon.

I had my private appointment at Evie black on Saturday and I was a bit anxious about getting my mother of the groom outfit, but from the moment I walked in I felt at ease. Sandra was so lovely and complimented me on the many dresses I tried, matching with hats, which helped me choose my perfect dress, there’s plenty of choice. I would definitely recommend the shop for that special outfit.

I’m a MOB to be and had no clue what I liked in the way of a dress for such a special occasion, I went to Evie Black and the service I and my two daughters received was second to none, I was made to feel very special and not rushed at all and on Sharon’s advice, I even tried on dresses that I had never thought would suit me but she was right and she really knows her stuff!! I came away with a stunning gown.

I visited Evie Black today as a walk in. What a lovely store and lovely ladies who put me completely at ease. I was worried re sizing but they had an amazing choice and knew exactly what to recommend and the hats, shoes and bags to go with each outfit.
I bought shoes bag and dress today. Would highly recommend this store.

What a wonderful experience helping my mam find her perfect mother of the bride dress! Sandra was lovely and looked after us very well. A great selection of dresses in all colours and sizes, as well as beautiful fascinators and hatinators. Overall a great service, and my mam got to have her own fabulous “say yes” moment! Wow! My experience at Evie Black was excellent ! We arrived for a late night appointment which feels like being a celebrity. Lots of dresses , hats, bags and shoes, so we were able to get the entire outfit in one shop. Plenty of choice and styles, traditional and top of the latest fashion. Lots of good advice from Sharon and Charlotte. No rushing. Super quality items. No chance of being the same as someone else at your occasion! We were very impressed indeed and delighted at what we were able to buy. My outfit has to have some small adjustments so excuse the clips on the back of the dress.

I went with my daughter to Evie Black's on Monday the 10th July 2023 looking for a mother of the groom dress and Sandra was amazing! After trying lots of dresses on I bought the first one that I tried along with the fascinate, I felt like a million dollars. Thank you so much for making the experience so special. I went here with my daughter looking for a fairly last minute outfit as mother of the bride and was so glad I did. Sandra was amazing, very helpful and excellent at suggesting outfits to try on - I left very happy and with a gorgeous outfit! I took my mam (mother of the bride) and my mother in law to be to Evie Black to look at outfits for my wedding day. They were both quite apprehensive about finding something but they had an amazing time and both came away with outfits! They tried on so many dresses and were given accessories to try to get a good idea of how they'd look on the day. I can't recommend Evie Black enough, both were made to feel relaxed and left feeling really special and excited to wear their outfits. Their smiles say it all!

Visited the shop today with daughter and daughter-in-law looking for mother of the bride outfit. Was not looking forward to this at all, i am a larger (fat) lady and at 5ft 3inches, just look awful in anything I try on. Although the girls and the lady all said to try on dresses, I was set on a "floaty" trouser suit. I first tried on a trouser suit, which to my surprise I loved, then 2 dresses that I looked terrible in ( the lady said....yes I agree with you, dresses are not for you.....and that's what I wanted and needed...honesty)

I purchased the trouser suit.....which everyone said I looked amazing in, along with a beautiful hat.

Now I wouldn't be completely happy until my husband saw me in it, as he is always brutally honest with me.....and he says I look lovely in it to......one very happy mother of the bride to be

Just been to shop today & what a wonderful experience it was. There are so many dresses to choose from in every colour imaginable, you are spoilt for choice. The lady was so helpful once she knew the style I was looking for. I am so happy with the dress I bought just love everything about it & know its a perfect dress for Mother of the groom.

Visited today to find a mother of the groom outfit. Was spoilt for choice! It was a lovely experience and I came away with the most beautiful dress and fascinator. Photos to follow after the day!

My sister and myself took our Mam to this shop on Friday 22nd July. Mam had a definite idea of what she wanted and also the colour. With a little persuasion from ourselves and the lovely lady she tried on at least 16 outfits of all different styles. All were fabulous and it was a difficult choice but she came away with a beautiful outfit. Lovely shop, amazing choice of outfits and excellent personal service. Will highly recommend. Thank you for making my Mam feel so special.

I visited Evie Black with my husband on 13/05/2022 (appointment only) looking for an outfit for our daughter’s wedding.

5 star service from Sharon who made us both feel welcome from the moment she opened the door. She listened to what I wanted and was patient and generous with her time and advice when selecting and trying on outfits and accessories from the wide range available; nothing was too much trouble. I tried on at least a dozen dresses and came away with the full outfit: dress, hat, shoes and handbag.

Thank you so much Sharon, you made the long journey from Cumbria so worth it.

I was quite nervous before my appointment today as I had already tried on so many dresses bought on line in the hope of finding something suitable for my son's wedding in April in Portugal, none of which fit. I needn't have worried however, the service I received was extremely professional, yet friendly and relaxed. I tried on lots of different styles and was so pleased with them, I actually ended up buying 2. Thank you so much for the lovely experience. (PS my husband thinks they look lovely too lol)

After trying loads of dresses, for my sons wedding in June.
I was feeling really down, i made an appointment at evie's at 7pm which was great as I travelled from cumbria.
The experience was amazing the dresses were beautiful.
After trying on a few i found the one.
I never felt rushed at all.
I also bought a hat.
The lady (sorry forgot your name)was patient and lovely.
I cannot wait to wear my dress.

This was the second time I’ve visited this wonderful place and been looked after by the lovely Sandra. This time I needed 2 dresses for weddings 4 weeks apart. Their service is second to none, nothing is too much trouble. I bought 2 dresses, very different from each other and not anything ‘I thought’ I was looking for. Thank you ladies xx
