Homebase - Newmarket

Sue in the house plant section was just so lovely and helpful today. She absolutely made my day and couldn’t have been a better ambassador for your Newmarket store. Thank you!

I work at Bunnings in the goods in (warehouse) as you can see by the photos this store was a homebase store and is in the process of being transformed into a Bunnings warehouse there will be children's play area, board cutting service,tool hire a massive selection of power tools and van hire the motto is always lowest prices widest range and best service go check us out when we open soon.
Hi it's David again since these photos were taken the store has now gone back to a homebase store again because of the failure of bunnings in Britain, so the store still has the red racking, childrens play area has gone to make the indoor plant area bigger, things have been moved around the store and is getting back to what homebase used to sell in the past, the garden centre has changed it has new wooden racking to hold more plants and lots more choice of outdoor pots and you should have a better shopping experience .

This is a large homebase. With a beautiful outside plant section. Ample parking outside. Can get busy as you would expect in peak times

Great houseplant selection, genuinely surprised by how big the selection is and how many unusual things they have. Prices are very competative and the quality is spot on with no damages or snapped leaves in sight other than in the reduced section. Staff are clearly doing a great job managing the plants and keeping them healthy and looking great. I absolutely will be back, and as a bonus, they're dog friendly so they'll also be getting all my custom for DIY goods now as a dog friendly business gets bonus points in my book!

Back to being Homebase!! Not sure why this is no longer Bunnings, but we are now left with a hybrid shop! Whilst it retains the Bunnings layout, the Homebase feel is sadly coming back.

Previous review: Far happier with this DIY place than the one which was previously here. The staff are always pleasant and very helpful. I have been able to find almost everything I have needed in my visits. Pricing is generally competitive.

Stocking loads of household DIY items, and good stick of plants. Staff always helpful.

I'm always purchasing something in homebase it's a great emporium such a great variety of merchandise.

Although the product I was hoping to buy was out of stock, i was impressed at the variety of items and size of this store. Sadly where I live, the Homebase has gone. This was a visit en route to home. What I did buy is now in my garden and I can't wait to the early morning when I will be sat in my garden with a cup of tea watching the local birds having a feed 😀😊

Being allowed to take dogs in Bunnings is a clever move. Many places don't, and due to their allowance we are always coming into store making purchases.

Good ranges of items, found what we wanted easily and plenty to choose from. Helpful and friendly staff throughout the shop. Nice atmosphere in the place too which was good. Will be going back here again without a doubt.

Early bird for sure always open no matter how early in morning I pass. Christine was priceless a few months back in 2021 when they had some problems with electricity and she was in car park letting people know. I asked if I could just go to the collection desk which is by the door and she said yes. Then happy to help me with trolley and loading. Well done that gal. The smile was priceless and if I was your boss your wage would go up from £25ph to £125ph to be taken out of bosses pockets.

Computer systems were down as I drove up early one morning. Christine was outside to apologise but we couldnt come in yet. I said oh blast. What about click and collect I only came to pick something up? She said no problem as it was next to the front doors anyway and I got my bags of peat...drifting around the doors coming out I sideswiped the bags of soil and Christine asked if I could managed and do I need any help hahaha. Bless her a real star who turned a problem into a solution. Well done that gal. As I drove off she was going all over the place trying to help people. Thanks guys.

Went in hopeing to buy item,spoke to lovelly helpfull staff behind counter ,item was air unit,and had one reserved but left my number just in case ,they rang bk and I got it ,great service cannot thank lady and women enough

It's like a real American hardware store. It was awesome. Made me feel at home, like I was walking around a Lowe's Hardware.

I was happy because I've felt that standard UK hardware stores have always been lacking the essential aspect needed for a hardware store.

Be a hardware store! Not some prissy, "home center" with pink handled hammers.
