Asda Chelmsley Wood Superstore

Great place to shop. Good offers. Nice wide aisles. Toilets and disabled toilets on the premises,both upstairs or via the lift. Also a cafeteria,also upstairs or via the lift. Very friendly, helpful staff on the checkouts. Although not a lot of staff actually on the shop floor. There is also a tobacconist. Also I picked up an order from here the other day and as I'm disabled and had ordered two large storage boxes they were not going to come through the delivery hatch. I was dumfounded and didn't know what to do. Luckily a very nice gentleman named Mason came to help me . May I say he went over and aboard to help me.

Very large superstore, includes cafe, pharmacy, men's, womens and children's clothing. Household items and children's school uniform area as well as a large selection of grocery, frozen, fresh items.
Very clean store. Shelves mostly stocked.

Manned tills as well as self service checkout.

Great automatic click and collect point. Just scan or type in your order number and the machine will bring you your order.
Also able to return your online George orders through the machine.

A big thanks to the Pharmacy. I’ve used them a number of times and the staff have always been friendly and helpful but this time they have outdone themselves!
An item on my prescription was out of stock due to manufacturing problems but they spent the best part of a week tracking it down. Extra super service and much appreciated. Thank you very much!

My sister collapsed in Chelmsley Wood store (in the toilets of all places) There was a member of staff in there at the time who helped me with my sister, then security and 2 first aiders turned up. They were absolutely wonderful and want to thank them so much for their help and kindness. They stayed with us until my sister was able to walk out by herself. So grateful.

(I tried writing a review but think it crashed... so will try again) This is a large store and the staff overall seem helpful and friendly. I had a tricky problem on a visit there this week and the Store Supervisor (George) was fantastic and resolved the issue. It took some time but after logging onto the system was able to get things back to normal for me. I really appreciate his level of customer service and will definitely return to the store again. 5* service from the guy. Big thank you. Iain

I have shoped in asda since it was build its clean , not always well stocked , the staff are all helpful, there are a few outstanding ones , Ann and the girls on the cigarette counter .
And a Spanish gentleman who is an asset to asda , his always happy , polite and helpful , well done despite being under staff they still give good customer care

Very good place to shops definitely recommend the manager who runs the shop definitely treats it well as it is always clean with anything it's the cleanest Asda I have ever seen I even think that the manager definitely should have a pay rise because they definitely treat the workers well as they are always nice and love to help out

Great supermarket better now with the Asda rewards, self checkout is easy with the scanners so much easier shopping now can do a week shop in 20 mins! Free parking up to 3 hours, go here every week

Hi my name is Stacey I was in the store today amd I could feel my self shaking I was was just about to pass out when I bumped into sophie she held me up while her mom who also works their for me a seat Simon was called to see me as he is one of the staff that do 1st aid he was amazing got me a glucose drink spoke ro me to calm me.down I even the pharmist ncome ro see me and made sure I was OK I called my mom and they evn packed the shopping in the boot of the car sophies mom who works at asda aswell has such a calming attitude there was another man ther but didn't get his name as I was nott fully with yet you 4 deserve a medal I'm not gonna say what my medical condition is but the people that helped no and I felt safe these 4 deserve some praise and recognition thank you so much

Personally I love shopping with the handheld scanner. I immediately see scanned prices and offers and I've never encountered a queue at scan checkout.
Easy to use and quick to obtain. I recommend this as a quick way to shop and avoid queuing.

Let me just say, the staff who work at this store are awesome....or atleast most of them. The checkout staff are amazing people who always want to help. The staff who work on the cigarette counter are shocking however. When the queue is half way across the store you'd expect them to work a bit faster to try and beat the queue but they simply work at a pace which is pathetic. And of course because the queue is right up by the checkouts, you then struggle to get out the store. The store has a good variety of products and usually is well stocked. It is slightly annoying sometimes when they don't have a particular product and you ask one off the staff if they have any and they just say if it's not on the shelf then they haven't got any. But overall it's a busy store and well kept. They do deserve 5 stars for having to put up with some of the customers they have to deal with.

Great staff always helpful and polite, we travel from Shirley to shop and found everyone a joy to speak to. From the canteen girls to the checkouts they all get 5 stars from us. I have noticed other rude comments obviously they must have been too ignorant to acknowledge manners that the staff of Asda have. Keep up the good work, we will always shop with you

There is nothing online to report excellence in your staff. Positivity breads positivity. I was in the chelmsley wood store on 3 occasions today 26.05,2018. Everytime through the self service checkout and the store was extremely busy. Lisa and her co worker have been on there all day and they went above and beyond there jobs in difficult circumstances. Never got ratty always helpfull and friendly. A lesson to your staff and excellent roll models to how all of your staff should be. Which I must add most of them are. But Lisa was above and beyond this. A true credit

Great shop with good air conditioning plenty of produce, good staff, and very clean. Easy parking too

It is the usual very well organised store it has washroom facilities.I find chelmsly wood people friendly and always helpful it's a nice place to shop with interesting charity shops
