Wroes Department Store, Bude

I was told to go to their cafe for great food.
Well I've just had the most devine crunchy chocolate brownie and a oat cappuccino. The chef makes them highly recommend

A lovely shop with quality products but it doesn't come cheap.
The cafe with sea views is much improved with an impressive selection on the menu from sandwiches to meals with roasties. A very good selection of drinks too. Always worth a visit.

This is a lovely department store with lots of quality products on sale. There is also a very good cafe in here. It is always busy which I believe shows how popular it is.

Updating my previous review and delighted to say that even as massive High Street names have disappeared Wroes goes from strength to strength.
Same fantastic service and immaculate presentation and of course the restaurant is still outstanding.
I can recommend the delicious locally sourced free range eggs on granary toast.

Wonderful restaurant on first floor with great views out to sea.
The staff are helpful, friendly and welcoming the food is tasty and not at all overpriced.
My particular favourite is the Double Scrambled Egg on toast with a pot of tea for a fiver!
The store has a little bit of Grace Brother's about it but only in the most positive way.
Good quality merchandise at reasonable prices delivered by knowledgeable staff.
Keep up the good work.

Taking a little break from some Christmas shopping in my favourite department store and in the restaurant with the best view in Cornwall added to that the amazing staff and the food is delicious, pictures added

Had a lovely lunch in the café. It's a great store and the staff are very friendly. Great customer service. I always go in for a visit when on holiday in North Devon.

I love this shop. Customer service second to none. The quality of what they sell is great with top brands that last and have excellent history.

Top class independent department store with lovely cafe.

Still a very good none chain department store offering premium products. Has had a remodel, mountain warehouse now occupy the base level. Overall the store is, in my view, less attractive than it was as the range seems more restricted.
Staff are attentive and helpful. Has a nice cafe on the top floor along with toilets. Good range from boots to underwear to kitchenware. Nice feel to store, recommended.

Mountain Warehouse now occupy the ground floor and kitchenware has moved to the top floor. Still a good range of quality items available. We used the restaurant and had very reasonably priced good quality lunches with wonderful views.

Sunday lunchtime four of us with 2 dogs were looking for somewhere to eat. We have never been to Bude before so we had no local knowledge of restaurants that allow dogs in. By chance we saw someone coming out of Wroes with a dog and asked if they allowed dogs in the restaurant. Affirmative was the answer. We had a superb roast beef lunch and an excellent cup of tea. The staff were friendly, polite and efficient. Thank you and well done Wroes, you made our day

Wroes sell excellent quality items, and if you go at the right time there are some great deals to be had. I bought a pair of baggy cotton pants for £5 on offer that are very comfortable and I have worn them many times.
Also not to be forgotten or dismissed is the excellent cafe. The coffee is truly delicious and the views leave little to be desired. The ocean facing windows give a glorious view of summerleaze beach and are delightful to look out of during all weathers. If you’re in Bude, I would definitely recommend going here.

Good quality products such as clothes, home furniture, kitchenware and outdoor essentials such as tents and walking gear. This is a great shop to visit.
Lovely shopping atmosphere and the staff are always friendly. All the products are a high standard and are at great prices! If visiting Bude this shop is a MUST.

Great traditional dept. Store.

Coming down on holiday now shops back open to trade.
I will be popping right in to visit the lovely staff, buy some
goods and sit in the cafe and enjoy a light meal.
Do vist and support this store.

Can't believe Bude top quality proper dept store - Best view over the beach and delicious baked potatoes - great coffee and treacle tart for tea-time, really nice staff - quality kitchen stuff and good sports dept with warmest jackets. Nothing shabby about Wroes, their buyers get good things and reasonably priced. Bit like Peter Jones on Sea, without the white goods.

Good shop and the caffe has amazing food. All the staff are very nice and welcoming we really enjoy it here and the free WiFi is a good bonus.
