Shaher ki Masjid

Shaher masjid is part of the Unesco World Heritage Site which is at the entrance of the fort, the entry ticket is 40₹ which includes entry to Badi Masjid as well.
To be very honest even being the heritage site all the sites are very poorly maintained or you can say not at all maintained.
The Masjid is a great example of the fusion of Indo-Islamic architecture. The domes and the architecture inside the Masjid resemble any Hindu temple. The Masjid is comparatively big but there is nothing inside it other than the big and long corridors.
The carvings on pillars and doms are very beautiful and a treat to the eyes.
If you are planning to visit this site have a full day so that you can complete all the places without any hurry.

This site is an awesome architectural design. You choos 2nd point after seeing jaami masjid. In this boundary you get shehar ki masjid, three cells and custom House. 2 hours enough for watching this site. The same tickets which you purchase from jaami masjid is ok for here. You must walk around the masjid boundaries or wall you will get some surprises. In the three cells there are lot of bats, carefully enter inside the structure.

Shekar ki Masjid is one of the best Masjid in champaner area. This Masjid is built by great king Muhammad begada. The pillars are symmetric and a great photographic location. This Mosque is built in 15th century in a mixed Islamic and Hindu architecture. It is constructed on a raised platform consisting of a large prayer hall with 5 mihrabs and two minarets. This is a prelude to the 3 main Mosque in the area.

This is a beautiful old mosque complex. The tall minarets make it look awesome. It's a quiet and beautiful place. Make sure you wander around the compound including the back side.

Located in Champaner pavagadh archeological park, this monument is simply amazing. First look and you will be like "wow! what a place". When you go inside you see numerous pillars and beautifully carved designs. The entry ticket is 40 rupees.

Located in Champaner fort. It is Historical place. It has pillars amd domes. Amazing Sculpture and engraving. It is under Archeological Society of India. Garden also beautiful and this place is very calm. Constucted on raisd platform.Good for pre-wedding shoutout and photography. It is simply amazing and beautiful place.

ASI ticket counter is there @ 40 rupees only. Surprisingly, entry for most of the masjids are free and roads are not so easy to visit. Saher ki Masjid has a decorated garden surrounded with greenery. One of the best structure in pavagarh Champaner achiological park. Variations in temperature inside of all the masjid is very interesting due to their architectural design.

Beautiful architecture. I wish the interior was better preserved. Otherwise worth checking it out. Good spot for insta Worthy images.

Located within the city fortifications, Sheher ki Masjid served as the mosque for the royals. The structure is built as a combination of posts, lintels, arches and domes. An ablution tank can be found left of the entrance pathway.

The Saher Ki Masjid is one of the Best Monument of Champaner Archeological Park UNESCO Declared 2004 The World Heritage Site

You can purchase a ticket at this monument and that same ticket will be valid to enter Juma Masjid.

A beautiful mosque within Champaner Fort. Compared to the Jama Masjid outside the fort, it is plain, but it has a very nice atmosphere, such as a beautiful garden with shade and dark and a cool spiritual interior of the mosque.
The name of the mosque is unique. I have not heard such name of the mosque before. "Shaher ki masjid" ie The Mosque of the City".

Really good place in the outskirts of Vadodara. The old design of mosque is nice.

The ticketing system is a bit odd as online is the only option but at a remote place like champaner, network can be an issue. The guards help but yet. Better book online ticket before going (35 Rs on march, 2021).

The best part about this place is that it is very clean and quiet. There aren't a lot of tourists visiting this place which is why it still has it's charm and essence.
The ticket price is quite low too at just INR 30 for one person. You can easily spend half day here, chilling in the garden or clicking pictures inside the mosque. This is a paradise for photography lovers and you can easily take some amazing pictures over here.
It is quite easy to reach from Vadodara and takes you just 1 hour bus.
Overall, I think this is a good place to visit.

Good place well maintained neat and clean good for a day hangout

Wandering and touring India gives me a new direction and broad vision an unlimited pleasure. The ancient monuments and ancient cities, though ruins, are mirrors of ancient traditions, art and architecture, farsightedness, security and how to sustain the life etc and their excellent vision are reflected. Sultan Mahmud Shah after winning the Junagarh and Champaner got Begada title. He was a great Sultan of Gujrat and he built Champaner Pavagarh as his Capital. Shaher Wali Masjid is a one precious monument and now a part of World Heritage. Champaner Pavagarh Archaeological park comes under Panchmahal district of Gujrat and about 30 kms away from Vadodra easily accessible by all the means of transportation.

This magnificent mosque was built by Sultan Mahmud Begada to pray for the members of the royal family and the close royal's associates. This mosque is located near the royal palace which are almost turned to ruins. This mosque has beautiful architecture and noticeable features. This mosque is definitely deserted today but is a center of tourist attraction. The five Mihrabs of this mosque were built on a high platform in the courtyard, a water tank for ablution, two well-decorated minarets, domes windows, etc. The main prayer hall is rectangular and quite large including the ladies section covered with stone screens. It's accessible via five large archways and the central one is flanked by two minarets. Two porticos as main entrance to the mosque. This extremely attractive and magnificent mosque built of stone and bricks is a special historical heritage.
