Champaner Fort

On 3 July 2004 Champaner Fort was included in the World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It became the first heritage site in Gujarat. It is located about 50 km from Vadodara. The nearest major center is Halol village. From Vadodara by Gujarat State Transport buses or by own vehicle can go there. A heritage fort and other structures can be seen in Champaner village. And through this village one can go to Pavagadh Hill. The beauty of both Pavagadh and Champaner blossoms in the rainy season.

Best heritage place near Pavagadh for visitors. The environment is so good. It looks awesome. You have to take 40₹ ticket for visit the place and explore it.

Historical place in Gujarat...it's very awesome place..lots of heritage place in champaner..masjid,fort,garden,wall,forest and historical temple....we are go with friends group..if u wanna go in vacation season u will enjoy more...it's very clean and secure place,so u will go with ur family also

It's an awesome archaeological site as well as with a beautiful natural picturesque. One should really visit this place especially during monsoon.

Champaner is part of the Champaner Pavagadh Archaeological Park which was declared a part of UNESCO world heritage site in 2004. The place is rich with monuments that are a confluence of Islamic and Hindu architecture from the 15th and the 16th centuries – the pre-Mughal era.
We got to Champaner by sunrise and were greeted by the Shahar ki Masjid resplendent in a golden light. However, a big black gate blocked us from entering its premises (we somehow managed to sneak in!). Unlike other UNESCO sites in India (which open at sunrise), the monuments at the Champaner world heritage site open only at 8 AM

Probably one of the hidden gems in Gujrat, massively undermined by tourism department and public due to its Islamic history. The so called fort is actually a wall fortification around a small village, housing numerous grandiloquent masjid (mosques). The area lacks decent hotels around it and the best place to stay would be Vadodara, which is around 50 kms away from the site.

A very means very crowded place, if you want to go there you should reach there at around 7:00 am or else sorry..... But the temple is just heaven...
