Bamboo Grove, Thekkady: A Tranquil Retreat Amidst Nature

My stay at Bamboo Grove on March 23rd was nothing short of delightful. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome and a pleasant atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making sure our stay was comfortable from start to finish.

The rooms, nestled amidst the serene surroundings of bamboo groves, were clean and cozy, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of exploration. The natural ambiance added an extra touch of tranquility to the experience.

One of the highlights of our stay was the assistance provided by the staff for activities such as boating and safari. They were knowledgeable about the local attractions and offered helpful guidance to ensure we made the most of our time in Thekkady.

Additionally, I appreciated the proactive approach of the staff in arranging lunch for us. They called ahead to confirm our arrival time and made sure everything was ready upon our arrival.

Overall, our one-night stay at Bamboo Grove was a memorable experience. The combination of friendly staff, clean accommodations, and the serene surroundings of bamboo groves made it a truly tranquil retreat in Thekkady. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway amidst nature.

Lovely place at Thekkady managed by forest department.
Aptly named as Bamboo grove, this beautiful place has cottages among bamboo plants.
Close to nature and each cottage is located away from.each other.for privacy.
Rooms are a bit small ,ideal for two adults only.
Get up early morning and you will be greeted with bird calls.

Property under periyar reseve forest, a great stay I recall. It's like some cottage separates from each other by bamboo grove. Each of the cottage has it's own space. Green at every corner. Nilgiri langur will be at your doorstep.Narrow path towards the cottage beside the bamboo grove,feels very natural.
Resturant there also decorated with great care,and I have no complain about food. Breakfast was complementary. One more good thing here is that ticket counter for periyar tiger reserve is at the entrance of the bamboo grove. Buses that's take passenger in to the forest are also start from here.

The best spot I've been to in recent years. The personnel was pleasant. The setting is serene and away from the crowds. They allowed early check-in at no extra price. The food was delicious. A fantastic eco-friendly environment with a lovely landscape and a view of bamboo. Friendly people and excellent service. 5 stars in every category. Highly recommended.

Beautiful location with a lot of greenery. The rooms are built in small cottages. washrooms are big and clean. The rooms are comparatively smaller. There wasn't much space left after keeping the luggage. Not recommended for 2+ people. The interiors give a wooden finish. The service is okay. You have to go to the reception or find a housekeeping staff for services (there are not intercoms)

Don’t get carried away with the govt tag . The team is absolutely professional in their service and hospitality .

The place is one the best for the price . Excellent maint , awesome food of Mr Sam who serves with a humble smile .

Centrally location, very accessible to the city; very clean & hygienic rooms; amazing, serene & peaceful place to stay. The entire staff- front desk, hotel and room service are very polite and professional.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 day stay and highly recommend it to everyone.

Please note: this is an eco stay not luxury hotel chain. It's in middle of bamboo groves... No wifi in rooms (but Jio &Vodafone signal strong at rooms). Tv there but no cable connection. It's a good stay- in-woods experience in middle of the city.

Excellent facilities with a very reasonable price

One of the best resorts at Thekkady. This is under the forest department and kudos to them for maintaining the place perfectly.
The fare is very much cheaper compared to the near by private resorts. The staffs are well mannered and the food is absolutely great.
One of the advantages of opting the place is that we can avoid the long queue at the boating ticket counters , as there are separate pass for guests staying at Bamboo groove.
The nature walk is refreshing but you would be really lucky if you spot any wildlife.

Very nice place for the location and price. But rooms are very small and not kept in good condition. The restaurant and service is very very good and the staff is excellent. Do drop in to the restaurant if you are around Thekkady. You might have to order in advance.
