Very pretty setting within a private property with a river on both sides. The hosts were amazing, friendly and the service was top notch. Highly recommended if you want to get away from the bustle of Alleppey and need a quieter nest. Access is hard without your own vehicle. The houses are not extremely high tech but that may not be necessary if you are looking for a nature retreat.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this amazing family resort. The resort's location, right front of water, was amazing. The kids had a blast playing in the beautiful lawn and swimming. The resort even had its own boat service, which allowed us to go on unforgettable boating adventures as a family. It was truly a dream come true for both kids and adults alike.

The resort itself was exceptionally well-maintained, with a traditional ambiance that added to the overall charm. The attention to detail in preserving the traditional aesthetics while still providing modern comforts was truly impressive. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and meticulously cleaned.

I'm extremely glad that we came across this place and were able to find rooms during the period we had planned to visit Alapuzzha. The host is extremely nice and friendly and was able to provide several suggestions for things to do in the area. The food was delectable- they were nice enough to even take our dietary restrictions into account (not spicy, vegan, etc.). The rooms are also beautiful, with air conditioner, warm showers, etc. The surroundings are also very beautiful with the backwaters nearby. The place is also not that difficult to get to once you know the route- the host really helps in explaining the route to get there. There's also plenty of space to park one's car here. We would definitely like to recommend this place.

The property is located in the middle of the backwaters, you can only reach it using a small boat. The houses are amazing: clean, large, well organized, superb beds, with a space to enjoy the view. Jacob is an excellent host, he guided us in a tour of the neighborhood, he was amazing and helped us discovering the magic of Kerala and of the backwaters.
The food deserves a special mention: incredibly tasting! Also, we were able to observe the cook prepare it! A free cooking class!

Amazing stay at a beautiful location with beautiful rooms. Kurialacherry House is what the doctor ordered for a healing, backwater experience. We stayed there for two nights a couple of weeks back and service by Jacob and his staff was welcoming, wonderful and complete. They went out of their way to accomodate our requests and helped us with our Alleppey trip. Jacob was helpful with our requests even after we left their place. Food is tasty and authentic - like what a homestay should offer. You must try the canoe that Jacob arranges - it's heavenly in the morning. Can't get a better country side experience in Alleppey. There was some construction happening very close to the rooms which did cause some minor distractions when we were there, but regardless it was a great experience. Will love to come back!

A beautiful place nestled in the beauty of Kuttanad is Kurialacherry House. Far from the madding crowd, surrounded by backwaters and paddy fields, this place is perfect for a tranquil getaway. Everything from the warmth of the locals to tasty traditional delicacies was on point. The rooms are built from what were initially granaries, so it makes for a quirky and unique room design and architecture. Try to get the room with the lakeview if possible, it has a patio with loungers and a table. Special mention to our host Jacob who was kind enough to help out whenever required during our stay.

The place is nice, relaxing and beautiful. It is meant to be self sustainable, vegetables and fish are from the property! Situated on a island between rice fields and the backwaters it is accessible by boat (they pick you and drop you no charge). The rooms are tidy and the staff/host are very nice. They propose some activities including canoe, tour 9f backwards or village visit, otherwise just for relaxing is also good

Beautiful, serene location, very relaxing. We enjoyed our boat and canoe rides whether enjoying nature, seeing the sites or learning about the boat races. Our cottage was clean and comfortable, food was delicious and Jacob was a great host. Thanks to Jitah and all the staff. We'll be back as soon as we can.

My daughter had come from USA along with children and we selected this home stay for an outing . And Iam a veteran Brigadier. I found the owner very meticulous about the requirements of the guests. The food is excellent. Ambience overall is outstanding. Strongly recommended

The property and its views are truly breathtaking.
Brought in 2021 with my Husband here and it is really a quaint lovely spot for Couples.
The Hosts are extremely kind polite and hospitable. They truly go out of their way to help you! :)
The food was absolutely great and we got to try out yummmmy stuff from Kerala cuisine.
The Boat rides are the highlight of this property. We stayed in a Villa where our room ended at the Backwaters and we woke up to seeing the water 😍
It is also close to the Ambalapuzha temple. The Payasam is a must have.

Very good property with a scenic view of the backwaters. Access is only through boats and the food and service are excellent. Kudos to Jacob and his team running the place like a home away from home.

At first there was no access for outside shop and hotel it was little bit outer but when we got settle for ourself we feel safe and enjoyable inside the accomodation itself ... The lake view and atmosphere was so awesome and friendly staff services .... I feel like home stay ... Coming to food services : I had a heavenly experience of food prepared over there so great and very hygiene all the vegetables are fresh from farm and prepared by their local cook (lady) this item : fish pollichathu was my favourite food ... Bought it twice since it was outside location you need to prepared of to be ask extra fish in beforehand ... They would make prepared for u ... For the taste we rate 5/5 ..

Well maintained and clean home-stay surrounded by nature . The staff and owner were very friendly and helpful. Excellent place to get away from it all for a few days. Food was local delicacies, home cooked deliciously. Very good experience.

A tranquil heritage stay by the Backwaters. One could go for many local experiences here like canoe ride, fishing, village walk etc. And the host Mr Jacob is so friendly and welcoming host.

A day was not enough at Kurialacherry House if u really want to experience a traditional kerala ambience. We stayed for a day only as per our trip schedule. The excellent and warm hospitality of the staff is unforgettable, the cottages r clean n interior is superp . The location is of a rare kind which is quite and beautiful at the bank of backwater river. Food n service is awesome. Must visit to feel traditional Kerala which u may not find in crowded and commercial tourist points in kerala. Thanks, Dine n liza
