Adventures Zone, Thenmala Ecotourism

The Adventure zone has lot of activities for the adults - like rope walk, River crossing, Rock climbing, mountain biking and likes. Since we had a mix of all ages, we preferred to slip this and move on to Children's park. This is a small park for kids to play and one can spend around 20 minutes here. Most of them are located within a km from the dam entrance. Adventure zone is 500m before the dam itself and rest of them 500m after the dam on the road to Kollam.

Amazing place to spend a holiday. A different experience especially for couples and family. Some rides are friendly for women but some are a bit difficult, I think that's what make them adventurous. I wish that they add more safe guards soon, preferably few female staffs whom women visitors feel more comfortable with. One major demerit is there were no toilets especially for women inside the zone (but there's one only in exit)

Great place to spend time with your friends and family. Lot of activities too. Elevated walkway is closed because of maintenance, it's been closed for past 6 months, It's surrounded by trees. So you can enjoy fresh air. Staffs are very helpful. Weekdays are less crowded.

A must visit place in Thenmala with lots of Adventure options.

Firstly, Elevated Sky walk - actually 109steps wooden platform, but now only 28steps are accessible. Remaining blocked due to lack of maintenance I guess.

Secondly, Zip lining is awesome and a must have thrilling experience. The staffs also share the videos at freebof cost

Thirdly, pedal boating was also good. Only in the lake you will get the direct sunlight but in all other areas it's under tree's shadows.

Commando traing nets, river crossing, wall climbing were all good.

Best place for adventure.. But there is some saftey probles.. They are not so much concerned about the saftey.. All the activities are so much thrilling..

Specially designed for kids aged 5 to 15 years.

Once we get a opportunity to visit thenmala adventure zone.. being the part of our camp,on a wander full days and lot of good experience

Must place to visit in thenmala.
U have to book Ur appointment well in advance through their website.
Don't think that u can buy ticket once u reach there. Hardly u get tickets.
Tickets are limited
School n college students fill the limited tickets early.
We spent around an hour . U really have some adventurous things to do if u are doing these things for first time~
Zipline, rock climbing, walk on the rope etc.

A nice place lots of adventures activities on Monday some activities like shooting and archery are not available

It's a beautiful place. It has the elevated walkway (not for people with a fear of heights) and quite some adventure activities. However the highlight was the fishes. They come so close. Eat from your hands. Take a hand full of boiled rice with you.

Great option for spending time with family. One good thing is entry is restricted with max number for each 2 hours batch. So you can enjoy the place without having hurry in the crowd

The adventure zone is situated about two kilometres from the Thenmala junction. The adventure zone zone features an elevated walkway, rock climb, river crossing, mountain biking, swings and rope ladders.

The walkway takes you to the top of the trees.It is built with wooden planks supported on pillars and it is fitted with railings.  Rock climbing needs equipments. These can be rented for a fee from the park office.They will sent trained guides to help you climb and give you instructions.

It was a great experience. Don't visit during rainy days, it will be a waste of time and money.

Adventure zone is definitely not for aged peoples because they don't have nothing to do on that premises. Its a waste of money for aged ones (per person ticket rate is Rs.210 for Indians). Others can do act like rock climbing, pedal boating, river crossing, flying across the river, shooting, rope walking etc. You must remember to carry enough waterbottles. Security precautions is not so much, but you will get proper instructions from guides.
At starting point, an canopy walkway flies over rocky areas though the canopy of large trees providing an aerial view of beautiful nature. Truly its a wondelful view for an nature lover's eye.

Tenmala Ecotourism Adventure Zone, Nice Place for one day trip

Attraction starts with a elevated walk way through the canopy of 11 trees, length 120m, width 1m, max height 10m, 109 steps. Then there is remaimings of old road connecting between trivandrum and senkottah before thenmala dam construction, query view then decent down through trees to the lake. There are adventure games like Archery, Short Range, Burma Bridge, Commando net, bicycling, pedal boat, Flying Fox, crossing the lake so on.. More games are to be added. A nice place to spend a day relaxing, enjoying and moving every muscle in the body with family, friends or solo. Stays are also provided.
