Ebonys Cafe Restaurant

We went during a power cut and sat anyway as I am personally used to that and I would hate for people to lose customers because of a power cut. It was a great choice - they prepare food on the spot with the level of spiciness you request. They also have a lot of western food like pasta and all was good. The place is very well taken care of and a kind of vintage museum.

For anyone wishing to dine in a relaxing rooftop setting amongst the trees by candlelight, old 1950s melody music and a menu that delivers such amazing flavours!! Try the ginger chicken or mushroom veg curry!! Smooth rich not to spicy sauces with perfectly cooked butter naan !! Excellent value in a quiet romantic setting!! Highly recommended!!

I was at Thekkady for a day trip . I was very happy going to Ebony's cafe as it had a vibe that I love . Beautiful ambiance in the evening , tasty food and the French music in the background . An ideal place for a date in Thekkady

Lovely lovely place for a sunny - or rainy! They have cosy spots where the outside comes in - bite. We have already been for breakfast and lunch and will likely come again for dinner. Great ambience with bluegrass on the speaker and beautiful decor. Food tasty and reasonably priced. Also great coffee!

A retro restaurant with a sprinkle of yesteryear's things (cameras, gramophones, reteo music, cassettes etc)

Rooftop sitting (with shade) adds to the overall vibe.

Food was also good. We ordered pasta, pancakes and toast. And quite pocket friendly too.

Nice cozy roof top cafe, run by a family. you get homey cooked western dishes. Had Pasta and fries would recommend if you are ok with waiting for some extra time as each meal is cooked separately and takes time

A beautiful and romantic spot. Memorabilia and photos line the walls leading to a candle lit terrace under a big tree with the blues playing in the background. This family run business serve incredible local cuisine. The owners kindly talked us through the menu and helped us pick a selection of local dishes to try which were delicious and so reasonable on price. My favourite meal in india. A must visit while in the area.

The banana pancake (120 irn), pineapple juice (120 irn) and coffee were very good.
The cafe also had a nice atmosphere and was comfortably cool.

They are providing homemade food. Taste was very good and the atmosphere is very pleasant. We enjoyed both the atmosphere and food in this place.. Just onething to tell can bring the food bit faster.. Taking more time for every order but still they are best at what they are providing

Best restaurant of kumily! This gem establishment is clean, eclectic, and very foreigner friendly. Great rustic furnishing and fun mix of lights and planters on a canvas covered patio. We would come back for sure! Hope we find similar restaurants throughout india as good as this place.

Beautiful garden with so many amazing choices of seating. The menu is very varied and the food is very tasty and filling. Also a 'small' pot of tea is extremely satisfying as it's not very small! Also the music choice, at least when we visited was perfect for the mood. Old world folk/country. Just the right volume. Everyone should come here. We will be going back for sure.

Amazing ambience and amazing food . One of the sit out where you can have a beer and order food. Foods are prepared freshly after ordering and hence expect some delay . Quality and taste was good

A very nice place in Kumily, if you are looking for Indian food, continental food, everything is good. Second time here and this restaurant was our little cosy cocoon. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere makes you feel like home.

The decor was funky with lots of antique radios and vintage tape players, also really great music. Wonderful, romantic ambiance.

The owners are super friendly.Food are so good....Owner will go the extra mile ....He even helped us connect for stay in Munnar.....Place is simple with a touch of rustic and antique ...very down to earth place .....We would defnitly be back whenever we come back to Thekkady Kerala

Came for a delicious breakfast and kept returning for all my meals while I was in town. Charming and peaceful vibe prevails. Run by a family with the biggest friendliest smiles.

One of the best family owned restaurant to fill your heart with and belly with a well homely cooked food. The roof top sitting area is an itself a scenic beauty which will make you sit for long and sip a delicious MASALA tea one after another.
For me the service was pretty good and I just loved the whole internal environment of different lights, hanging pots and the greenery. Visit once at least.

Would like to give a 7 ⭐ for ambience. Vibrant music sets the mood for the evening. Must visit for dinner.

Nice food, family run place. Cute setting with nice lights on a covered roof top. Nice music playing! Very attentive staff! No alcohol served here as previous reviews suggest though :)

They have such a delicious food. We came many times during our stay in Thekkady and all dishes were awesome.
