Humble aesthetics, local flavor, super quick service by Sibin and some amazing Sabya Veg Thali with a terrific flavoured Fish with Omlette.. All together for 320Rs ! Like can we ask for anything else ! This place is a treasure find ! Absolutely superb and nothing to complain about !!

After completing the 8 hours of forest trek, we were exhausted and hungry right in front of Bamboo Grove stay we saw this nice cute little restaurant which has very humble, happy and welcoming atmosphere. We enjoyed the food to the core; I traveled across south India hopped in many restaurants I never experienced such a tasty, lovely food made with loads of love and care. Sabin Joseph and his mother were too good. I will be definite to revisit Mango Tree café and that will my first stop next time. Fish Nirvana dish was a real enlightening…. Bravo Bravo

Ordered bamboo biryani it was good, good portion for the price around 260.its a small restaurant with limited seating capacity. Food was good service was good.its a small family run business which was nice.. Must try once u get out of bamboo grove after your safari or bamboo rafting...

This man prepares food with so much love. We tried fish fry, kizie parota & bamboo biryani and everything was really tasty, totally home style.

Cafe mango tree is a small restaurant just opp. to the periyar tiger reserve parking area.Serves delicious authentic Kerala homely food. We had meals, bamboo Biryani and chicken curry. Food was delicious and gives a homely feel. Bamboo Biryani is a must try. Great service. Highly recommended.

The cafe serves exquisite food. It is underrated, if I could I would give it 8 stars for sure. Me and my family absolutely loved the food which was all freshly cooked to perfection. The bamboo biriyani was so good. The mix of spices with the rice in the right amount was amazing. If I come to Kerala again this would definitely be my ‘go to’ place.

Very homely, simple place near the Periyar National Park bus stand with great food, friendly owners, and affordable prices. The sadhya, bamboo biryani and fish fry we ordered were delicious! Highly recommended.

The best homely food in Thekkady. Fish biryani and fish pollichodu is a must try. Great people with polite attitude, they served with love.

Nice place to eat opposite to Periyar Tiger Reserve parking. We have enjoyed Bamboo biriyani like anything, it was so flavourful.

If you are looking for an authentic home cooked kerela style meal then this place is your go to whenever u are in thekkady. The place is run by a family and they are very hospitable people... dont know why this place is underrated because they serve the best bamboo biryani i have ever had.... the place has a cool vibe...Since they run the place at their home so it may lack the cool look ...but 5 star to the food they serve...go try their bamboo biryani asap
