Periyar National Park Ticket Office

Good spot for visiting Periyar dam reservoir. This ticket counter is well organised. We should leave our car and go through their bus.

Opens from morning 9 till noon 3.
Many ppl took online tickets which was very hassle free for them to check in.

We entered counter where they charge for bus fare and entrance. Around 75 per person.

Then once reaching the boating place there is another counter in which they charge 250 approx for a full boating ride. The mode of payment is only through card or upi alone. They never accept cash which is really appreciated.

The time for ride is approx 1 hour. Unfortunately we couldn’t seen any wild animals saw deer tortoise and wild pigs. But the rules are very strict they don’t allow us to stand in boat and take photos.

You can definitely visit for a good experience. Even though you can’t spot any animals it’s highly recommended to enjoy this chill ride in a big reservoir. They also rent binoculars. They have a cafeteria and neat restrooms

We went for boating in the first batch in the morning and had a wonderful experience. It’s better to book the tickets online if you’re planning the trip in advance. Otherwise, it’s better to reach earlier and stand in queue for tickets, if it’s crowded. The whole process was quite seemless and we enjoyed the whole visit. It was pleasant to visit early in the morning. Although we didn’t spot a lot of animals, we got to see wild boars, some birds and bison 🦬 there. The staffs in our boat helped with the spotting and taking pictures of them through binoculars 😁.
At the boat landing place, there are a couple of canteens for food. We had breakfast in Jungle cafe which was very good at reasonable prices. Worth trying the food there.

It’s where you need to get the tickets for both park entry. Boat ride is not guaranteed with this ticket as you need to purchase seperate ticket for boat ride. However the nature experience is awesome.

Perier national park has different approach

They are offering boating service we can see number of wild animals roaming freely.

Revisit after few decades, lots of changes in and around for good. The boating experience is awesome.

We did the boarder hiking so just purchased entry fee from the ticket office. The process was smooth and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit into the National park

The boat ride was an amazing experience. Considerate, professional and helpful co-ordinators, the scenic appeal of the landscape and the beautiful visuals had us tourists wishing for more. The route is picturesque and has been maintained well. Would love to be a part of the journey again.

Very good place well maintained by the government. Periyar National Park tickets are available here, long queue on weekends but tickets are available in weekdays. But I will recommend online booking option to avoid long queues. Place is beautiful mostly the jungle safary via big Boats that will take deep into the jungles. Mostly deer and birds are seen but other animals can be seen if lucky. I recommend this place to visit and enjoy scenic beauty.

Book for boating in advance ( if your planning to do boating). It is not easy to get tickets for boating if your not booked earlier.

Boat riding is an amazing experience. Start @ 7.30. Last trip @ 3.30 pm. Online booking available. No vehicle allowed inside the area. Bus service available to reach there.

This office operates from 6.00am. one who wants to book the tickets for a boat ride can come early.

Charges are 255/- per person (adult) for boat ride (1.5 hours)
The bus charges to arrive till this point are 45/- per person.

The boat ride is 1.5 hours long in the Periyar lake, and I'd recommend renting the binoculars or bringing your own pair.
Also, the animal sightings are very rare, but the experience of boating deep in wild forest is thrilling and good.

This place provides the complete details of trekking, safari, boating safari. They are so knowledgeable in educating us in giving directions for all types of safaris, trekking and boating as well along with the timings.
Must visit place to get all the details about the sightseeing in thekaddy.

I didn't see any tigers, just a few birds and deer.
The forest guard on the boat was really funny. you should visit in the summer in the morning to witness tigers

God's own Country.. The Periyar National Park is a must visit if you are in Kerela.. The view is breathtaking.. You may be lucky to see wild animals.. The ferry is well maintained.

Nice experience.. only find difficulty in getting the early mng tickets . But the staff are so helpful

Nice place to board the boats, they have test rooms, and also named my exotic trees in the compound. Good place and friendly forest guards.
