We had the popete (grilled aubergine fingers) which were really good, mixed with just the right amount of seasoning, garlic and onion.

For mains we had the fillet steak that was cooked to perfection, was lean but thick in the right places alongside grilled vegetables. The grilled vegetables were seasoned nicely, not dry and quite flavourful.

Miss had tuna steak with pistachio crust which was delicious as per her evaluation.

This has been the best meal I've had in Italy so far! I ordered the eggplant meatballs for starters, which was a decent amount, followed by the mussels in broccoli sauce pasta dish which was so delicious...I'm still thinking about it now.
Wish we were here longer, as I would've gone back again.

Located in an ancient Palace. Fish is cooked in different delicious ways. They also have Tropea specialities. Not to miss.

Pretty cosy place, especially if sitting upstairs. We had some amazing pastas here so highly recommend. Lemon sorbet served in a frozen lemon skin was a nice treat for the dessert.

We had seafood carbonara and a seafood ravioli. Both were fantastic, but the fried onion appetizer was the best! Service was good and available for anything we needed, and they had a few fans running to keep the area cool in hot weather and to keep the bugs away. Great experience!

Wonderful place to be 🥰🍾 The location is a beautiful old house, build in 1702. The Service is always attentful and friendly and they speak a good English. But most important: The food is fantastic! 👌🏻 We had some Noodles and some grilled fish and it couldn’t be more fresh or more tasty 😋 ... and that for an absolute fair price! ... Go there and enjoy - U won’t be disappointed 👍🏻🍾

My husband and I had dinner here in June 2021, what a surprise! In a place like the beautiful Tropea, sadly full of super-turisic restaurants, we found this magic corner where we enjoyed the true, local and authentic cousine. Fresh fish combined with local ingredients, friendly service and very fair price… just the perfect combo! Super recommend!

Great cuisine for the right price. You’ll fall in love with the bruschetta with Tropea onions.
Also, as a rule of thumb - in Italy always go with house wine, is good and great with all dishes (and less pricy).

Great food! We tried two pastas and an antipasto platter. They were all great, especially the octopus pasta. Staff were very friendly and efficient.

Non sapendo dove andare a cena, ho fatto una breve ricerca online. Di alternative ce ne sono tante a Tropea ma non cercavo posti turistici e, consultando le varie possibilità, mi sono soffermata su questa Osteria e posso dire di aver fatto la migliore scelta possibile.
Siamo stati accolti dallo staff di Giancarlo che ci ha riservato un bel tavolo.
Il locale è curato e pulito ed è inserito in un contesto storico di rilievo a qualche metro dalla Cattedrale.
Giancarlo è un ottimo padrone di casa che, dopo la spiegazione del menu, ha saputo ben consigliarci.
Abbiamo provato sia i primi che i secondi e la nostra esperienza culinaria è stata a dir poco fenomenale. Il tutto accompagnato da un ottimo vino!
Ho apprezzato anche la premura nel soddisfare le richieste tipiche del servizio con una certa tempestività.
Promosso a pieni voti! Ci torneremo sicuramente nei prossimi giorni!
