Hotel Buca di Bacco ****

Fantastic and magical view, with a balcony, felt like a movie star staying here. It’s worth it for that alone. Rooms are incredibly clean with tons of amenities in the bathroom and comfortable beds with a pillowtop (so rare in Europe). Staff were friendly and helpful for the most part especially the porters and cleaners, women at the front desk were lovely but the men were a bit grumpy but I understand they are probably tired at the end of tourist season. If you get the complimentary breakfast it’s awesome - lots of food options and delicious fresh squeezed orange juice. Though you do get 10% off, I would skip the restaurant for lunch and dinner though because it’s nothing special, quite salty, and you can find better options elsewhere. I wish we could extend our stay because the location being so near to the beach is wonderful and it’s nice not to have to walk so many steps back to a hotel!

Great location. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Loved the breakfast spread every morning. Everyone working here was very kind and helpful. Will definitely recommend this hotel if you're looking to stay in Positano

We had an amazing at experience at Buca di Bacco! Positano was the last place we visited on our honeymoon, and the location, view, breakfast, vintage rooms, and overall service level were top notch. Positano in itself is a magical experience, but staying at this hotel made it that much better!

We loved our stay at Buca Di Bacco! We had an incredible view of Positano and the beach. The staff was also very accommodating and friendly. Highly recommend also eating at their restaurant, as it was the best food we had while we visited Positano.

Perfect location in Positano, with a balcony looking over the main beach. It was super convenient staying in lower Positano and not needing to hike a bunch of steps uphill after a day at the beach. Hotel was awesome and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Thank you Fernanda for organizing private transportation from Naples! It saved us a ton of time and stress! The breakfast was great, lots of options. We also did the cooking class and it was so much fun!

Incredible service and outstanding views! So thankful for the front desk staff. They offered to book our taxis when needed. Also, the breakfast and restaurant in itself were lovely. Truly felt special to spend the nights in the beach front hotel here in Positano!

A must stay in Positano. We were visiting for the first time and could not have been happier with the experience. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and the room was wonderful. We even (pretty much begged) added an extra night added to our stay because we didn’t want to leave. The location is excellent, right by the beach and ferries, and you can’t beat the views. Make sure you ask for the porter service for your luggage. Will absolutely be back!

Excellent hotel! Our room was spectacular!! It had an amazing view and the table/chairs on the terrace were perfect to split a bottle of wine. It was situated very close to the beach and the hotel provided a beach bag with towels. The free breakfast every morning was very nice. They also have us free welcome drinks at the restaurant - which I think has one of the best views in Positano. The staff was also incredible. Castello at the bar/restaurant went above and beyond. We also asked for ice one night and had a beautiful wine bottle holder delivered in under 5 minutes. I couldn’t recommend this place enough!

All I can say is... wow. This was a wonderful stay. Terrific room, terrific staff, terrific food, all in all, a BIG thumbs up. The view from our balcony was to die for. The shower and bathtubs were amazing. As far as I can recall, this was the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Pro tip: the "stocked mini bar" for 20 euros was an UNBEATABLE deal. We did happy hour on our deck every evening.

Buca do Bacco cooking class was a must! It was in prime location right on the beach! You cook as a team to create multiple dished, which you all share at the end of the night. Champagne and wine to complement. Not to mention the cook book and various tools sent home to recreate the menu! Great chefs, great attitude, great environment, great time! Do not hesitate, BOOK IT!

After reading so many reviews and looking at dozens of hotels in Positano, I have to admit that one review does justice and I think the same: do yourself a favour and book here. This hotel has it all. You'll feel spoiled and wishing not to leave anymore. Cleaning is done twice a day, the staff is more than welcoming and nice (Cotello, hope this is the right name, very friendly) and the room is outstanding. Breakfast has everything you'd like and more including fresh orange juice and quality products. The view of the sea while eating on the terrace is unbeatable. And what's best about this hotel is the location. You couldn't find anything better, right on the beach offering beach facilities as well. We gave up at some day trips just to enjoy our stay on our private terrace while admiring the sea. Priceless.

This hotel was absolutely perfect in every way. 100/10 recommend to stay here. Our first impression of the hotel and welcome from Andrea was nothing short of special and made us feel very taken care of. We especially want to thank her and her care for us! The beauty of the hotel, people and staff are so professional yet kind, hospitable and homey. They met all of our needs and exceeded our highest expectations!!! We could not speak higher of this place and our time in Positano wouldn’t have been the same without Buca di Bacco. Book a room with a balcony, worth every penny.

The hotel is conveniently located on the beach, near the water taxis and shops. It is a climb down to get to hotel and then back up to leave. Your taxi/car will not be able to drop you and luggage at the door. You can arrange a porter to transport your luggage to hotel. The rooms and hotel are very clean and updated. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The daytime and nighttime view from you balcony are amazing! Highly recommend. We very much enjoyed our stay!

I typically only comment on places that exceed my expectations…. This place had the best veal chop I’ve tasted. Lightly breaded and pan fried with baby potatoes. The view of Positano Beach was also exceptional.

Love love love this hotel in Positano. We stayed in the Superior double room with small terrace and sea view and it was absolutely amazing. The views were spectacular and the room was beautiful. The bed was so comfortable. We were moments from the beach. The only regret was that we didn’t stay longer. Do yourself a favour and book this hotel. You won’t regret it!

A wonderful hotel and restaurant in the centre of Positano above the beach. Our room had stunning views across the bay with a large comfortable terrace for taking the sun or eating breakfast. Each room has its own colour scheme with floor tiles reflecting the local tradition. An excellent buffet breakfast is served on a terrace where you can watch the constant flow of boats. The attentive staff were friendly. Recommended.

The entire staff were so welcoming and helpful, with every question or problem we had. The hotel is perfectly located and beautiful, the restaurant was always good, the included breakfast was delicious, the outdoor balcony charming and fun for drinks in the afternoon, always with lovely staff.
