Al Veluu Ristorante Suites

My husband and I visited for our honeymoon in August 2022. When we arrived there was an issue with a reservation we made a few months in advance but staff saw to it that we had a table and were quickly seated. The view is outstanding and our meal was one of the best we had during our stay in Italy, let alone Como. Fresh caught fish and organic veggies from the garden were delicious as were the zucchini flowers! Next time we find ourselves in Italy, we will be sure to stop ❤

We stayed in a panoramic lake view suite & ate at the restaurant. The view alone would have been worth it but it did not stop there. The owner personally welcomed us into the hotel before going to the local fish market for our fresh dinner that night. We felt as if we were staying at a relatives house with how clean, cozy and homey the suite was with all the amenities of a little apartment. We forewent all our plans to sit on our private balcony and enjoy the view. This was the last leg of our long trip so it even felt nice to make ourselves snacks and tea in the kitchen and enjoy a movie night with their living room Netflix account. Wish we stayed here longer as it was a place we immediately settled in to.

We just came from a amazing and very memorable meal, with an unbelievable view and atmosphere. I read many reviews focused on price and service. Let me say the service was excellent, they were accommodating and attentive. As far as price, you are paying for a phenomenal view and atmosphere. It was a perfect night and we had a table with a panoramic view of Lake Como. Tasteful food, a fine bottle of wine and a magical view of Lake Como as the sun set. What more can you ask for.

Stunning food, fabulous setting and a glorious view. It was a bit rainy but that didn't detract at all. The service was superb and they even opened just for us to have lunch.
Can't wait to return!

Stunning lake views and great food make this one of Tremezzo's top restaurants.

The lake fish starter was huge and could easily feed 2 or 3 people.

Main courses were beautifully cooked and presented, and there were fabulously steak options available.

Somehow we managed to be a little forgotten by the charming serving team, but that may have been our fault rather than theirs, and it didn't stop them asking if we wanted to add a tip (not usual in Italy and hence a little cheeky).

Cover charge was €5 per person but no bread sticks, and g&t without any lemon despite asking for some, was €20.

NB: The restaurant is high up the mountain but there is ample free parking on site.

We got married in Varenna and had our wedding reception here 5 years ago. Our guests still rant about how incredible the view, food and staff were. Cannot recommend this place enough. Can’t wait to go back!

The most stunning view overlooking the lake in a beautiful garden. A lot of the vegetables are grown in their organic garden and fish is locally caught each day.

No doubt the best hotel to stay in the Tremezzo highlands, views are gorgeous, food is exquisite and Famiglia Antonini went above and beyond to help a young couple have the most magical honeymoon possible. 5 stars, will definitely come back!

Had one of my favorite meals in Italy here. The asparagus was so incredibly fresh, and the tiramisu was the best I've ever had. I did not realize asparagus could be this good. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and gave us great recommendations. As an added bonus, the view is incredible.

I’ve read the reviews and let me tell you… if you’re going to complain about the cost on your bill, this is not the restaurant for you. However if you’re looking for an incredible culinary experience from the food, the view, and the hospitality of the staff and the owners, then restaurant Al Veluu is the place to visit. My wife and I got there prior to them opening and the owner invited us in to come hangout until they opened. The owner was extremely friendly and treated us like family. Even though this is a fine dining establishment, the owner himself came and took our order. The food was amazing and their hospitality combined with the breathtaking views of Lake Como made this an amazing experience.

Great spot with locally inspired food and amazing views. Our favorites were the two house pastas that were fresh and delicious, table side steak tartare and wood fire cooked veal chop. Luca was also able to recommend some very nice local wine. If you’re near Tremezzo, not to be missed.

One of the best meals we had on our Lake Como trip. A very nice family run establishment. Great food and wine at pretty reasonable prices.

Loved this restaurant with the most amazing views over Lake Como. Pasta was the kind you dream about when not in Italy. One simple with truffle, the other simple with mushroom, ‘simple’ in the way that you can’t comprehend how they’ve made it to taste so incredible. Also a beautiful chateaubriand with a tasty salad grown in their garden.

One of my favourite places on Earth. The experience is worth every penny. The steaks grilled with fragrant rosemary, the white peach Bellini and the meringue dessert are to die for. Can't wait to come back.

Attended a beautiful wedding here and stayed about 3 mins walk away. Just gorgeous, the view is dynamic when its sunset and the hosts were very friendly.

Mouthwatering risotto cooked at the table, jaw-dropping views combined with good service is at first unexpected when you arrive to this anonymously located and kinda simple looking place from the road. I guess this is the charm of traveling around Italy finding local places that just blows you away. It's not the cheapest place, but worth it, so expect upwards 100 EUR per person. We first went there for dinner (remember to book in high season) and just had to come back for lunch the next day to see this amazing view in full daylight.

Absolutely spectacular experience. Stunning views, scrumptious food, delightful staff from owners Luca and his brother (who personally picked us up from the train station and drove us to the restaurant). This is a must do experience when in Bellagio.

Food was off the charts!!!! Owner was very hospitable loves what he does. A veal chop to die for!! Grilled on a wood burning stove. Spectacular view. Touches all your senses. Amazing wine list. Spectacular.

The food is really good and the view is amazing. The service is very friendly and good, they got a bit slower, when the restaurant was completely full. I really recommend to go to this place, if you can get a reservation.
