Hotel Ristorante La Darsena

I stayed here for three nights in early March and had a phenomenal stay! I chose a lake view room and loved the stunning views of the mountains, sunrises, and peachy sunsets. La Darsena js a 3 minute walk from the ferry station in Tremezzo, so extra ideal if you are planning on checking out all the cities on Lago di Como like I did! Other notes: service was exceptional, breakfast was quaint and filling, and their house restaurant is innovative and delicious. Highly recommend staying here on your next trip to Lago di Como! 💙

We spent 4 nights in this lovely hotel in December. We had a "boutique room" that gave us stupendous views of the lake & mountains. The room was very spacious, with firm but comfortable beds. I asked for a different pillow as I have cervical spinal problems & was immediately offered a variety of pillows. The bathroom was also spacious - it had a vanity basin & mirror (with good lighting), a toilet, a bidet & an amazing walk-in shower.
We ate in the restaurant for 3 nights & each night's meal was delicious. As we don't know the Italian wine labels, we asked our cameriere for suggestions & he always gave us a beautiful wine to accompany our meal. The continental breakfasts were always tasty with fresh fruit juices & a good variety of breads, fruit, cheeses, etc.
All the staff were very friendly, with most having good English-speaking skills. The whole place had a family feel about it, which isn't surprising as it's owned/managed by the Moli family. We would love to return one day.

Had drinks at this incredible family hotel. Not only is the view amazing, but the service is everything you would expect from a family run place! If you are in town, you need to stop by.

Well located hotel and beautiful restaurant that has easy parking, perfect lake Como view and a pleasant lunch space after visiting Villa Carlotta. It is a family run establishment and we met and were graciously attended to by the brother and sister team with great attention to detail. All of our special dietary needs were deliciously met and the chef had a unique way of recreating the local and traditional dishes including a sublime tiramisu. There was an accessible restaurant space and my very old grandfather with a cane and my great uncle with knee issues were both comfortable in the dining room and had easy access to the bathroom using an elevator. Water taxi stop is bellow the deck with easy elevator access and you can arrange a private tour of the lake and it’s lovely Villas. I highly recommend them.

In two minds to write this review as I want to keep this place a secret, however I cant. This place is the best place for a relaxed stay on the lake, and I do mean right on the lake, you cant get much closer. the rooms are great and comfortable with a traditional theme.

Now for the restaurant, what can I say other than amazing. The menu was fresh and local with a modern twist. I just absolutely love it. Get a table on the terrace and its like your in a dream directly over the water living your best life.

Amazing hotel and restaurant! We had high hopes for the hotel and our expectations were exceeded beyond our dreams. Very clean and spacious rooms. The lake and mountain views from our room were breathtaking. The restaurant served us one of the best meals of our lives, easily on the level of Michelin stars (we had the tasting menu). The breakfast was delicious. Last but not least, the family who owns and operates the hotel and restaurant was so warm, kind, and helpful. Beautiful family, delicious food, perfect location and accommodations.

We came for dinner at The restaurant. Beautiful view right out on the lake!! Best view so far, amazing food and wine! The staff was so helpful and kind. It was raining and we couldn’t get a taxi to our hotel so one of the waiters offered to drive us home, that’s true service. We will come back!

We wanted a lakefront hotel away from crowds and convenient to see the whole lake. Fortunately our travel agent knew of the family-owned and operated La Darsena from personal experience. The water lapped under the dining patio and our room balconies... yes, two balconies! The hotel arranged excellent car service to and from the Milan airport. They made bag lunches for us to take on our excursions. The service was excellent throughout our stay. The morning buffet was lovely, quiet with great service, coffee, and food. Such lovely people!

Randomly selected to stop here for lunch because there was an empty parking spot in the adjacent lot. What a stroke of luck. As we entered we were asked if we had reservations which we did not, but they had 1 free table on the outdoor deck available which we got. The location is perfect! Beautiful place sittting over the water with elegant appointments but not feeling stuffy or full of themselves. The food was impecable. I enjoyed the roasted duck while my wife had the angus carpaccio. We shared a polpetta de pesce appetizer that was also delicious. The desserts were very instagramable too and tasted as good as they loooked. We liked the very comfortable pace of our meal and felt the staff enjoyed and appreciated our visit, neither making us feel rushed or forgotten. The prices were a bit more than some other places we have been to on the lake but certainly not outrageous. All in all, a very enjoyable and memorable experience. Will definitely return if back in the area.

We stayed for 4 nights. Very convenient location, close by ferry terminal. The included breakfast was nice with a beautiful lake view, and the staff were kind and friendly. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend.

We had dinner on their balcony there. The staff were very kind and professional. The food was good, we had the steak and fish carbonara.

We wanted to try the dessert, but there was no more room left, so we'll have to come again!

Always a wonderful experience, fantastic food, and perfect location.

Ate at the restaurant and it was phenomenal!! Called to see if we could get in night of and one of the family members offered to pick us up from the boat dock and drive as back to the restaurant. You can tell by the service it is family owned and run, and they care very much about their customers. We stayed across the lake in Bellagio this trip, but we are excited to and hope to stay at the hotel when we return to the area next summer!!

Really fantastic dining experience overlooking Lake Como. This family run restaurant is full of charm. Incredible wine list, exceptional service and delicious food. Highly recommend - a gem of an experience.

We really enjoyed staying at the Hotel La Darsena. Small charming hotel with a homey feel, beautiful view on the lake, great food and friendly staff.
The location is rather strategic: 2 min walk to the ferry that connects you to all main points of interest. Located on the Greenway of Lago di Como, which is enjoyable short hike. Stands right next door to the beautiful park. And, easy walk to main villas.
The building was recently renovated, so everything is fresh and clean.

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant La Darsena around lake Como. Superb views and attentive staff. All food items were very good to excellent (shoutout to the fish selection appetizer and the tiramisu), admittedly though in lesser quantity than usual in Italian restaurants.

A must visit restaurant when staying in Tremezzo. Make you reservation well in advance to secure a table lakeside. You won’t regret this. Although we booked only a few days out, we still had a lovely table with lake views.

With plenty options of local dishes, the presentation and freshness of the meal and the choice of wine, I would say this would be one of the best restaurants in this area.

Staff was very hospitable and welcoming even when we arrived a 1/2 hour early, as we thought we could sit at a bar beforehand and have a pre dinner drink.

Had the €65 5-course set menu for two and it was fantastic. Great house wines and fizz too. Enjoyed so much we are returning to try the 4-course €60 set menu tonight!

I cannot comprehend all the 1 star reviews! The restaurant has a certain niveau that is not for everyone, however there is a menu in front of the entrance which indicates its price class. If the price exceeds expectations don‘t go in!

I have been to this restaurant on many occasions and it never fails to deliver on quality, service and its cuisine.

The staff are extremely friendly, courteous and professional!
