Hotel Britannia Excelsior Lake Como

Beautiful hotel, beautiful setting. Staff are friendly and helpful, all speak English if you don't speak Italian. Food is tasty and filling which is what you need if you're doing a lot of walking around on trips. Bedrooms nicely furnished. We paid extra 50euro to get a lakeside view which is worth it. Would recommend this hotel to everyone I know.

most beautiful hotel ive ever stayed at, it was like a palace. the elevator was very small but worken nonetheless. very big buffet breakfast lunch and dinner. its near the dock for the boat to bellagio, you can do a lot of things by foot from the hotel

Good rooms, especially if you upgrade to Lake View. Really good choice of food, even for picky food eaters like myself. Friendly staff who always try to help. Nice dining room and roomy bar with live music every night. Great choice of drinks. I would certainly come back here again.

Had a great holiday here. Very good service by all the staff. Waiters are great fun. All speak great English. Food is good. Rooms are smaller than UK. But normal size for Italy. Had everything we needed. A great base to explore.

We stayed here for just one night after a 12 hour drive from the UK.
We arrived mid afternoon and had none of the parking issues that other people have had.
The hotel has an amazing view from reception and all the staff were friendly and nice.
Our room was large for a double and the balcony and view of the lake was simply stunning.

Part of the fun of this hotel is its faded charm and it would be perfect for a weekend break.

No problems whatsoever with this hotel. Room excellent, clean, fresh towels, good sized bathroom. Food excellent, good choice of dishes. Staff excellent, room staff, restaurant, reception all good.
After I booked this hotel I looked at the Trip Advisor reviews and thought this hotel does not look good. After my stay the only conclusion I could come to is that there must be some sort of vendetta against this hotel. I can only report what I find.

Stayed at this hotel and found from the moment we arrived to leaving we could not fault it. The room we were given was way beyond our expectation,s the selection and quality of the food in the Dinning Room was again very pleasing. Staff were pleasant and all in all for a Three Star Hotel it was perfectly located on Lake Como.

Just returned from a fabulous trip to Lake Como and stayed at this hotel. Had a bedroom with stunning views across the lake to Menaggio. The beds were comfortable, room clean, shower perfect, toiletries and hairdryer provided. The tv had a couple of english channels. The food in the hotel was delicious with so much choice provided. The staff were all hardworking and eager to please. Entertainment enjoyable. Would return and no hesitation in recommending staying here.

I really love the food here, but I would like to thank specifically the wonderful customer service of one waitress and her name is Nima, she’s so friendly and attentive to all the customer’s needs and I really commend her professionalism and care to customers. The front desk personnel were also accommodating even the housekeeping personnel (a woman assigned on the 5th floor where we are staying for 3 nights, all inclusive) was also helpful. This is our second time ( the first was with Hotel Bazzoni and our stay was really wonderful that we decided to get the all inclusive package again this year. So we thank Nima, the cleaning lady and the front desk personnel (Francesca and Valentina) for making our Christmas vacation holiday a wonderful one.

We have just returned from our holiday and can say it was brill. The staff were friendly. The food was varied for different tastes but there was always plenty. The room was over looking the lake and this was fabulous. The rooms were cleaned daily. The Wifi does reach the bedrooms not just the area where it says wifi area.
It is well situated mid lake with a local bus stop just outside and a ferry terminal close by.
I am a big beliver in a holiday is what YOU make it so people that write bad reviews need someone to blame for their inability to relax.
When you go on holiday a hotel is a place to lay your head ready for your next adventure.xx

Perfect location, beautiful room with stunning view across the lake. Had platinum all inclusive band which was such a good deal as choice of restaurants meant Fine Dining was an option in sister hotel plus across road at the Lido. Quality of food was outstanding

Sometimes you just have to hold your hand up and give praise when it's due. This is not the fanciest hotel on Lake Como by a long stretch, but what it does have in spades is the drive and passion of an owner family committed to giving their guests an unforgettable Como experience. Directly opposite beautiful Bellagio with a free private shuttle across through the day and a state of the art floating pool deck and bar. Three restaurants; an outstanding lakeside Lido restaurant with an outdoor terrace to die for, an immense buffet in the main Queen Victoria dining room and a Brazilian Churrascaria down by the pool. The genius part is it offers all guests an all-inclusive meals and drinks package, so you can try them all!. This is a 3 star hotel with a 5 star location and facilities.

I think the last guy must have gone to a different hotel. Stunning views, room was very clean and a very high standard. We stayed as all inclusive, the restaurant was buffet style with a good range to suit all taste (I have a very fussy daughter and she was very happy). you had to cue for drinks in the bar but the system worked well and I didn't wait more than ten minutes even when packed. We must have saved a packet compared to buying our own food and drink as the Como area isn't cheap. Highly recommend a trip to Menaggio (4 km away) which is very beautiful (Stunning) and the prices are half that of Bellagio. At Menaggio we hired a speed boat (about 70 Euros) but it carries 6 so at 12 euros each for the hour well worth the money , great fun doing the James bond thing. All the family had a great week. Must be one of a very small number of hotels on the lake with a lakeside pool and bar. Thanks to all the staff.

This is great value for the price. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The beds are very comfortable to sleep in. Staff will tell you what us fun to do in the neighborhood. Food is good as well. They work very hadd to give you a very pleasant stay af their clean and friendly place.

Rated 3 star, but worth 5 stars from me. The rooms were spacious, the food excellent and the staff very friendly. The hotels location right on the shores of lake Como could not be better. We're going back next year.

Nice hotel with excess to two swimming pools. All in with buffet meals. The bar area is not all that great. Some lovely rooms overlooking the lake.

This Hotel in Cadenabbia, Lake Como, Italy, is a Comfortable and Relaxing Hotel with a Self Service Food Menu and Situated in an Excellent Position for Views; Shops and Availability of transport .People are Friendly and Very helpful.Above All, One can feel the Atmosphere of Peace and serenity.

Been during both during the summer and winter. Absolutely fabulous place to stay. Always come fully inclusive which includes all food and drinks. Extremely pleasant and helpful staff. Excellent organised excursions.

We are staying here for a week the hotel is fabulous the room we have has amazing views would have liked a balcony to sit outside but that is not a negative staff are very good food is very good will update all week
