I'm thrilled! The staff and the owner are incredibly nice, the service is perfect. Our room was small but clean and cozy. The hotel is located on the lake, which allows you to enjoy a beautiful view from the room on the water. I would always come back here, I am more than just satisfied! Thank you so much! ❤

My husband and I greatly enjoyed our stay here! Giacomo (I hope I spelled that correctly, my apologies) gave us the best customer service we’ve ever received! The hotel was cute, the patio across offers beautiful views! Not to mention the homemade jelly they offered during breakfast was super delicious. We highly recommend this place!

Delightful place to stay directly across the road from Lake Como. Enjoy a wonderful complimentary breakfast on the patio on the lake. The restaurant is truly wonderful. However, the true joy of the place is the family that runs it. Everything is clean, and if you want to experience great Italian hospitality, this is the place.

Welcome to my review for Hotel La Marianna, a hidden gem nestled on the stunning shores of Lake Como, Italy. As we embarked on a scenic 90-minute drive from Park Hyatt Milan, the anticipation grew with each passing mile. Our online research had left us in awe of the hotel's private lake terrace, boasting the most breathtaking views we could imagine.

Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by the son of the family, who made us feel instantly at home. The genuine hospitality and personalized attention were heartwarming, setting the tone for an extraordinary stay. Stepping into our room, we were rendered speechless by the unreal beauty that unfolded before our eyes. The expansive windows showcased panoramic views of Lake Como that seemed straight out of a dream.

The hotel's ambiance was steeped in history and charm. Adorning the walls were the father's incredible photographs, capturing moments from the 1950s to the 1970s. It was like stepping back in time, and we couldn't help but appreciate the artistry and nostalgia that surrounded us.

One of our favorite spots in the hotel was the lounge room, where a classic guitar beckoned us to unwind. Soft, relaxing melodies played in the background, creating the perfect backdrop for peaceful moments of reflection. It was a haven of tranquility, allowing us to fully embrace the essence of Lake Como.

Choosing Hotel La Marianna in Cadenabbia over the more popular towns of Bellagio and Varenna turned out to be a brilliant decision. The town offered a serene and authentic experience, away from the bustling crowds. A short 7-minute walk, approximately 500 meters, led us to the ferry port, granting us easy access to explore the enchanting neighboring towns and their wonders.

As we had chosen to drive, the hotel's provision of free parking was a true convenience. Knowing that our car was securely parked allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the delights of Lake Como without any worries.

We had the most wonderful stay. The family who owned the hotel/restaurant was incredibly warm, welcoming and humble. I have spent a significant amount of time in Italy over the years and have never experienced as perfect a meal night after night. Each dinner (4course) is specially prepared with local ingredients and was the most exquisite culinary experience I’ve ever had. I can’t say enough good things about the food. Props to the chef!!

I can’t say enough great things about my stay. The staff, especially Giacomo were the most warm and welcoming staff i have ever encountered. The location was perfect as it was close to all the hot spots on Lake Como and walking distance to the ferry and the bus stop is right outside too.

I am a solo traveler, so if you are looking for a quieter place, were you are safe, has convenience and want to feel like famiglia, do NOT miss this gem! I would come back to Lake Como just to stay there.

The family that runs this place makes you feel like you are part of the family! We had the best stay! Everyone one was so happy and joyful here! I can not say enough good things! My fiancée and I will be coming back for a cozy stay, amazing food, and the warm greeting!

The hotel hospitality was wonderful. Parking was included and a very short distance walk. We had an amazing buffet in the morning with a gorgeous view of the lake. The owners took pride in their hotel and accommodating our needs. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone that wants an amazing view of the lake and want great service.

A lovely cozy place, very beautiful room with a vintage Italian vibe great view to the lake and excellent customer service! The breakfast as well is delicious, and with quite a few options. Will definitely visit again on my next trip to lake Como.

We found by chance this hotel, to stay one night. We took a double room with terrasse and view on the lake.
The staff is very gentle, helpful and attentive.

With the room you have a breakfast included, to take on the patio with an amazing view on the lake under the sun if you’d like. The breakfast was very good and complete ( Italian caffe, bread, jam, salami, cheese, eggs, fruits...).

Just in front of the hotel and restaurant you also have an access to the lake to take a bath and swim.

What a beautiful place. The hotel is situated over the road from the lake with a terrace on the lake itself. Breakfast on the terrace is wonderful. The owners are lovely and very helpful, pointing out places to go land what to do around the area.

The ferry to Bellagio is a 5 minute walk down the road and runs frequently until late.

If I could give 10 stars I would. I would recommend wholeheartedly this hotel to anyone who visits Lake Como. It's wonderful!

We loved staying here! Very clean and comfortable, with a full breakfast served on the lovely terrace overlooking the magnificent Lake Como. Our room looked right out on the lake - very serene. And the location is perfect for visiting Villa Carlotta and other beautiful places.

What was most special was the care we received from Paola, who helped us find a doctor when my husband came down with a high fever. She lent us her thermometer and other equipment, and helped me arrange to bring soup back to our room when my husband was too sick to leave. I don't know what we would have done without her kindness and caring. Thank you, Paola! We will be back :-)

I've stayed at several different hotels in several different countries I'm a Hilton honors Diamond member and a marriot bonvoy member and I have never experienced a better stay. The staff were all so friendly and kind and the rooms were big and had everything you needed. Parking was included and the breakfast on the lake was included in the stay too. We had such a great stay and we will be coming back!

La Marianna is one of the best discoveries you could ever make. It’s close to the ferry stop Cadenabbia which offers easy access to Bellagio and Varenna. La Marianna is quiet and comfortable and the family owned atmosphere makes it a great hotel to rest in between busy days. Across the road and ON the water is a garden-like stone patio that offers a serene setting for breakfast, coffee, drinks and dinner. Giacomo is unbelievably helpful and accommodating. The hotel has been in his family for over 20 years. His mother helps manage the property and his father is responsible for some of the best food we enjoyed in Italy. The breakfast pastries and cappuccinos are delicious and available everyday from 8am-10am. Parking is free and located right across the street. The windows in our room opened up to the lake and the sounds of the water lapping against the stone wall created a relaxing atmosphere. We couldn’t be more pleased with our experience at La Marianna. This was a twice in a lifetime trip and we’ll be coming back to La Marianna our next time around. Thank you so much for everything. Grazie mille!

Spent our first night out eating here. Family owned restaurant and hotel. Surprised us with a sample appetizer as well a sparkling wine! Not a regular menu but a very well placed 4 course, which was interchangeable to suit your hunger. Simple selection of good local and pairing wines. Nothing but hospitality. We were even given a sample of some gracious sparkling desert moscato to finish.

For me travelling is about meeting people. Staying in the Alberghetto la Marianna you will meet the best of them with the owners. The hotel is located along the road that connect all the villages and our room had a beautiful view on the lake (Verenna, Bellagio, ...). The dinners were great, served on the terrace (as well as the breakfasts) by the cook himself at the sunset time. For real travellers only!

This place has my heart. A wonderful family run business. Please stay here for a great stay in Como. Stay here for an amazing meal. Stay here for the time of your life.

This place was absolutely fantastic !

I went to dinner and was treated wonderfully from the moment I walked in.

The host was very nice and greeted and ushered us to our seats very quickly. About 5 minutes in the door and we had Preseco and a small starter, which was sooooo goood.

After choosing a great wine, we “ordered” our dinners from the “Non Democratico Menu”

Haha that one gave us a good chuckle because there only is one option. (As a 4 course meal, you can skip certain parts and it is taken off of the price at the end)

We all got our food all on time (and at the same time - 4 diners) and it was delicious.

As a full time meat eater I was very impressed with how tasty these vegetarian dishes were. (We went on Thursday which was vegetarian night)

You can tell how passionate Chef Tai is about his food. He only uses local seasonal ingredients and it really shows in the flavour.

I also really like the fact that it is a family run restaurant and that they all have a great sense of humour.

They had us laughing and having a truly great time.

This was the nicest meal
I have had and it looked like something from a TV show or movie. Very very very good.

This hotel was a highlight of our trip. We felt so welcomed by Jackmo and family. The breakfast and dinner right on the lake were outstanding.

Perfectly simple - there is a single dish for each course of the menu without any choice - but you don’t need any choice when the food is so very delicious, and the service makes you completely relaxed and welcome. Couldn’t recommend any more!
