Hotel Florida Sorrento

Had a great stay here, lovely room with a nice shower and large balcony with a view of the mountains. Swimming pool is a good size, large outside seating area, with a bar serving a wide range of drinks, also serving some really nice food. Breakfast buffet has a wide range of food as well. The staff are all very friendly and the reception staff were very helpful. The hotel isn’t a long walk away from the town centre. We would definitely come back to Hotel Florida.

Stayed here for three days and it was a great experience. Rooms were nice and clean. Staff was super nice and there was always someone managing the bar and pool area. Pool was very well kept, quiet and so nice. Breakfast was pretty standard but it was nice to eat there. Bit of a walk to the centre of Sorrento, but it was worth what money we saved being further.

Absolutely marvellous. Wide room. Very good mattress. Clean. Very nice bathroom with italian shower. Nice staff. Parking, swimming pool. The best hotel I stayed in during my italian trip. 10 minutes walk from Sorrento historical center but cars are not allowed in the center.

It wasn't far from the city center. It had wonderful beds and great Staff and You can use the pool. Really great place

Family run and home from home hotel. Spotless in all areas, great menu, reasonable prices. Lovely pool and bar. All staff very friendly and helpful. Alfonso is a star. Our room was basic enough but very comfy and quiet. A gem of a hotel, can't wait to go back!

A very clean, spacious, well maintained hotel. The pool was being renovated but it will be amazing for the summer season 2023. The garden seated area is very relaxing. Our balcony was too close to the little road and this proved quite noisy early mornings...so I'd say a room overlooking the pool or on the other sidecwould be quieter. It is a 15min walk into town but what a lovely walk, the bottom road takes you past the most amazing view of the bay and vesuvius in the distance and the top road brings you into a great street full of shops and supermarkets.
We booked our two tours with the hotel which included a pickup from the hotel.
Breakfast was alright, I got to like it more on morning 3😁 , considering there are oranges growing everywhere I was dissapointed at the miwadi orange juice in a jug. Bread and cheese and ham were nice. Kiwis were delicious , yogurts weren't nice. Plenty of cakes too.
If I could make a suggestion it would be amazing to have some type of coffee tea mak8ng facility in the rooms, it would have been perfect to have been able to enjoy a coffee on the balcony

This is one of the most beautiful hotel/hostels I’ve ever stayed at. Most importantly, the entire staff was so helpful and kind to me! It’s a family-owned establishment. When I happened to test positive for covid, I informed them and they placed me in my own separate room for no extra cost. They also made me a delicious hearty soup to help me heal! I’m so grateful that they made me comfortable while I was super sick, alone and scared. I won’t ever forget their hospitality and I can’t wait to come back and stay there again!

Family owned boutique hotel that is super clean and the owner helps you with everything from booking cabs to taking your luggage up and down the stairs. The restaurant and pool area is very nice, as well.

This was our favourite hotel of the trip. Lovely pool area with lots of chairs, rooms were quiet with a large balcony, friendly staff! It is about a 20 minute walk to town but it’s easy - no stairs. Only thing I would add is to have body lotion and Kleenex in the room. I would stay there again!

We had a week in this amazing hotel celebrating our wedding summer 2022. We were here with our closest family four days first and then all our wedding guests came and stayed at the hotel for four days. And it was absolutely perfect!
The atmosphere was the best we experienced, the family that ownes the hotel and also the rest of the staff was always doing all their best to make sure we were all happy and taken care of.
We had a party in the lemon garden with amazing pizza from the pizzaowen, live music and bar and dancing. Incredible night! We also had several dinners in the restaurant with delicious food every time.
The rooms were clean and spacious and lovely and all of our guests loved the hotel.
We thank hotel Florida and the staff there for making the framework around our wedding the absolute best. We will come back next time in Sorrento! ❤

Not recommended as a hostel. The floor of the rooms is not very clean, the beds are without draps and you have to put them by yourself, you have to pay for the breakfast and is not so good and is not that close to the center. In the other hand the swimming pool and the bar is nice also the staff is kind maybe the hotel service is better.

Staff is very kind and nice. Swimming pool is also cool. Distance from downtown is little faraway (20 min by walking) but if you consider price, it would be reasonable.

Hotel Florida was a wonderful stay! Their staff is very friendly and even helped us book a boat tour to/around Capri that was the highlight of our trip! They have clean rooms, fresh food, and a beautiful garden to enjoy in the evenings. It has great little restaurants within a 5 minute walking distance and is only a 15-20 minute walk to Sorrento square. Highly recommend Hotel Florida!

A really good hotel. Spotlessly clean. Facilities excellent. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Alphonso in the restaurant first class. Reception staff helpful. Would return again.

Breakfast is delicious: fresh sweets, cakes, local Italian bread, it is made every morning from local produce and fresh seasonal fruits. Eggs are always fresh sourced locally, ham, cheese, coffee and cappuccino it is amazing and the staff is great, dynamic and friendly. Get ready for charming Zia Pina and her great family secret homemade pies and cakes recipes, these are the BEST!

We loved our room near the garden, it was tidy, spacious, fresh and had plenty of storage space. Room service on point. There are rooms facing the pool but I preferred the ones facing the spacious orange and lemons romantic garden because when the trees were blooming, it was a beautiful sight and smelled like fresh citrics. I loved it!

I loved that sometimes they had a pizza night in the garden under the lemon and orange trees, very organized, fast service and relaxing atmosphere and for summer night, after walking all around the city, it was a great alternative of an outing inside. The only thing, if you have gluten allergies, order your pizza ahead of time, so they will have enough time to prepare your fresh dough in house.

In general, we loved our stay and can’t wait to come back.

The hotel is a real find. The staff were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Clean and comfortable rooms and the pool area is a great place to hang out. The only negative for me is it would be nice to have a fridge in the room and tea and coffee making facilities.

What a GEM of a find this hotel is! Everything about it was perfect. The staff are so welcoming and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble for them over the week we stayed - all 32 of us!! Michelle on reception was so helpful and very kind, from booking our day trips to helping arrange minibuses to take all 32 guests to our wedding at Villa Fondi. We had a beautiful bouquet of flowers in our room on arrival, and a bottle of champagne on ice to celebrate our wedding. Thank you so much to all staff for your kindness. The rooms were so fresh and clean, and towels changed daily. Also, we had separate towels for taking to the pool, so we didn't have to use our room towels. The pool area is lovely, with plenty of beds to sunbathe. The bar area by the pool was great - bar stools at the bar, and lots of comfortable wicker chairs to relax by the bar. It was our social meeting point every evening, and the atmosphere in this lovely hotel was amazing. The rows of lemon and orange trees in the garden areas are so nice to see, and the outside pizza ovens where they do a pizza night is set among the lemon trees, which is so nice. If you are lucky enough to be there on a Monday night, the singer they have each Monday evening is wonderful - she has such a lovely voice. The breakfast was lovely and plentiful - lots of choice, both hot and cold food. The evening meals were amazing - the food was all cooked fresh, and was so tasty. I think between us all we tried every meal from the menu, and every single meal was first class food. If you are lucky enough to stay at this lovely family-run hotel, you will definitely have made the right choice. Thank you everyone at Hotel Florida from the bride and groom - Mr and Mrs Calvert, and everyone here in Wales who stayed in May 2019. We will all definitely be back!

Hotel Florida made me fall in love with Sorrento. I've extended my trip twice so far. Everything is clean, the staff is knowledgeble and kind. The place is surrounded with lemon trees and beautiful flowers and it is away from the busy and loud streets, without being too far out of town.

We spent four days here and loved it. All the staff were more than helpful and we made use of all the facilities. The buffet in the morning kept us going all day and the dinner in La Bella Ida (the hotels restaurant) was delcious. Can definitely recommend staying here, a simple 15minute walk to the main square and a 5minute stroll to the best sunset view in Sorrento.

This is a lovely family hotel, in a lovely area. Close enough for a walk in to Sorrento in 20 minutes, but enough out f the way to be very quiet too. Owners (the family) are great too. Sad to say goodbye to this place after our 3 nights as it is really that nice.
