North Etna - Linguaglossa

Wonderful hike, be sure to bring warm clothes and anti-wind jackets because if it’s windy you’ll freeze to death! The trail is quite easy (considering we are on a volcano!) but you can also climb onto solid lava flows and enjoy the multiple craters everywhere.

Unbelievable experience with a jeep tour and extensive hiking around the summit of Etna.

With our "private" guide Silvo (#etnaoutdoor) we went by foot up to the 2002 eruption area. He told us so much about it, and by foot you see and almost feel what happened. Go see the photo/film museum at the parking lot.

Great hike up the side of the volcano

Really enjoyed the North side of Etna. Was able to go with a guided tour up to the middle summit for 60€ and walk around the 2002 Eruptions. Definitely try and go on a day with good weather. I was there in mid-May and because of snow we could not go all the way to the top but still got to see a lot because it was sunny and was not flooded with tourists.

Giornata incantevole e panorama mozzafiato... sirespirava aria pulitissima ed amavamo in perfetta armonia con la natura che ci circondava.
Abbia pranzato in una baita lì vicino e passato qualche oretta nelle pinete adiacenti.

Piano Provenzana è un posto dai panorami meravigliosi. Completamente ricoperto di lava si ammira il versante nord dell'Etna. La strada che porta a quota 1800 metri è la Mareneve, preceduta dalla strada Quota mille che parte da Randazzo. Per noi motociclisti è tra le migliori strade della Sicilia. Curve tra boschi alpini misti a panorami "lunari" con le distese di lava.

Luogo suggestivo lontano dal caos cittadino, distese di pietre laviche rendono questo luogo quasi "post apocalittico " , ma proprio questa particolarità rende facile staccare la mente dai pensieri quotidiani.
Una nota di merito per il chiosco bar(vedi foto allegata) situato all'inizio del percorso, il ragazzo che ci lavora è molto gentile e cordiale, ci ha consigliato un'ottimo posto dove pranzare.

Posto da visitare almeno una volta, abbiamo usufruito di un servizio di navetta bus per fare il giro guidato, bellissima esperienza, consiglio di farlo almeno una volta

Die Fahrt den Ätna hoch ist sehr abenteuerlich, man wird ordentlich durchgeschüttelt.😉 Festes Schuhwerk und ein Jäckchen bieten sich da an. Man muss damit rechnen daß man nicht mehr so sauber vom Vulkan runter kommt. Der schwarze Staub ist überall und es ist recht windig . Also am besten nicht den feinen Zwirn tragen 🤭

Ein wirklich atemberaubende Ort und es hat mir wirklich Spaß gemacht. Ich bin 57 Jahre alt und der Aufstieg war für mich in Ordnung. Es lohnt sich. Die Luft ist ein bisschen dünn, aber es geht.

Bellissima escursione da Etna Nord fino all'Osservatorio Vulcanologico a 2850 metri, soldi ben spesi per un tour con guida turistica fantastica che con TANTA passione ci ha trasmesso e spiegato ogni minimo dettaglio del vulcano e di tutti i vari fenomeni che genera. Bravi!
