Gianni and team are first class. Food is absolutely fantastic and the service the best we have recieved during our time in como this week. Phenomenal authentic restaurant, well priced and fabulous food with exceptional service - well worth venturing slightly off the beaten path and tourist traps in close proximity to the lake (short 10-20min walk to venue here) for authentic, wholesome and quality Italian cuisine

This is quite a gem in Menaggio - although can be a bit of a walk up from Piazza Roma, we took a bus up and had a nice stroll downhill after a lovely lunch al fresco. Umberto was amazing, the food was great served in a relaxing courtyard. We had pizzocheri, marinated lake fish and shrimp raviolis with a lovely dessert to go with a nice bottle of prosecco - all very good. Be sure to make reservations as they can get very busy. Great trattoria in the beautiful and quaint village of Loveno, above Menaggio. The staff are absolutely lovely, very welcoming and attentive and have a deep knowledge about the food they serve. A lot of the local dishes on offer, such as the Taròz and Pizzocheri are specific to this region and made on the premises from local produce.

We started the meal with the Taròz which tasted amazing, together with a fish platter which included fish from both Lake Como and Lake Maggiore, followed by a Tagliata di Manzo with grain mustard and rocket with a balsamic vinegar glaze, all beautifully presented. The beef was cooked to perfection and just melted in the mouth!

Dessert was a beautiful homemade Tiramisù which finished the meal off perfectly!

Cannot believe we've been coming to the area for the last seven years and have only just discovered this gem but so glad we did!

Highly recommended if you want something a bit different from what other local restaurants offer. Can't wait to return again!

Can’t recommend this enough. Charming homey atmosphere, and really wonderful food at even more wonderful prices. Try the buckwheat pasta.

Wonderful restaurant off the beaten path way up high in the mountains, but was definitely worth the trek up. Between the two of us, we ate two dishes made with local fish specialities (I will let Umberto tell you the names of it), and they were amazing with great synergy. The service and ambience were top notch.

Warm welcoming, simple but delicious food made from local ingredients, cozy atmosphere that what you expect from real italian trattoria and all of that you can find here at Trattoria La Vecchia Magnolia. As a starter we had fried cheese balls with a salad, also we ordered local fish, grill vegetables and cheese polenta. Everything tasted just great. I wish we could have more time here in Como so we could visit this place few more times.

The only place you should eat in Menaggio! Amazing dishes and waiters! Couldn’t have asked for a better evening all round! Would definitely go back and recommend to friends. Best in Lake Como!

We had the best food in this restaurant in the region. The fish was amazing, the vegetables perfect and the polenta....I have to come back once for that. Plus the service was great as well. It's worth leaving the bad tourist places and going up to the hill for this restaurant.

Delicious meal with a perfect service. Our waiter was excellent in helping us select some local dishes - the Pizzoccheri and the busecca(I think it was called) were amazing. If you love hearty family italian food I reccomend you eat here. The staff were understandably passionate about the food!

Very nice people and view. Good parking space. Food was good, I liked risotto, pizza, grilled chicken, soup. We also had tiramisu that was fun to try. Espresso was also very good. We were lucky to be there since it's their last day before wenter closure!

Authentic Italian. Warmhearted welcome. Delicious dishes. Dog friendly! And do not miss to stroll around the village, too.

Amazing attention to details. The service is top notch and of the highest quality. They even have italian craft beer, which was an unexpected surprise!

Had a fantastic lunch at this trattoria a little off the beaten path. Service was friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. Started with antipasto of potatoes, cheese, onions, beans and butter (quite rich) and the pennata pasta with shrimp, garlic,tomatoes and mushrooms

Loved the ambience; we had lasagne, pizza, green salad and dessert - all delicious! The staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. Highly recommended

We had dinner at Trattoria La Vecchia Magnolia twice. The service is extremely good in a family-like atmosphere and with beautiful view. Pizza, local specialties, other food and wines are all very good. Good place to spend with family or friends.

Amazing hospitality. We came in after a long drive from Venice and were exhausted. We came without a reservation and the staff made room for us and fed and treated us well. They were so kind and hospitable. The food was good too. Highly recommend.

We love this restaurant! We visited it twice for dinner during our quick, four day stay in Lake Como. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, and the food and wine are delicious. The meal was very affordable. Grazie mille!
