Grand Hotel Menaggio

What else is there to say besides perfection! This hotel has some of the best views of the lake, is centrally located and right beside the ferry and bus! Extremely clean, great breakfast, and fabulous staff! Got engaged in Menaggio staying here and spent our honeymoon here. That’s how great this place is!

Lovely relaxing break at this excellent hotel. The staff were amazing, attentive, and friendly. The rooms were good, okay, a bit dated but we didn't come to spend time in the hotel room. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, which is the main thing, good sized rooms with high ceilings, plenty of storage space and were tidied daily. The bathroom and shower were clean and again tidied daily.
The Breakfast Buffet was plentiful with lots of options. The omelettes were delicious.
Nice bar, and the cocktails were great (try the whiskey sour👍👍)
Would have liked to try the Hotel Restaurant, but most of the courses were fish/meat based, and as my wife is a vegetarian, I missed out too. Not a problem as the town of Menaggio had plenty of places to eat.
The Hotel even 'provided' us with some extra evening entertainment, thunderstorms and hailstones.
Recommend this hotel and jump at the chance to visit again.

What a lovely traditional hotel, the view was amazing, service exceptional, the lady on reception with glasses was the making of this hotel! Absolutely perfect service and knowledge was beyond. Bathroom was lovely with all amenities, only one issue is we had a room in the water but close to the ferry port and was woken at 1 am and 3 am by loud men at the bar outside the port. If you want a good nights sleep keep the windows closed or request a room away from the right hand side close to the port exit and restaurant / bar.

This hotel is spectacular and so special to my husband and I! We spent time here for both our engagement and our honeymoon and couldn't have felt more spoiled and pampered throughout the entirety of our stay! The staff is so kind and helpful, the views and access to Lake Como are breathtaking, and the proximity and walkability to Menaggio is absolutely perfect. Grand Hotel Menaggio will always be on our list to stay at anytime we are blessed to visit Lake Como in the future and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxury hotel at a very fair price.

Room was lovely, bed was really comfy. It was disappointing to have paper cups in the room rather than China cups amd the bathroom was rather small with a fixed head shower with not much pressure. The social areas and outside space was amazing with great views over the lake. Great place to lay on the sun loungers watching the world go by. Well positioned for the ferry's across the lake.

The fast boat to Como can only be bought one way and the queue in Como for the ticket office to come back to Menaggio had no cover and the queue was about 40-60mins long.

Amazing staff, great helpful service. Great location right next to the ferry terminal. They do a great job of shuffling the cars as well. All the staff was very friendly and for as old as the hotel is. The rooms are in great shape!

Our stay here was nothing short of amazing. The location is perfect for visiting Bellagio, Verenna, and Tremezzo. A short walk to everything in Menaggio! The staff from the beginning was so friendly and accommodating. Yes, the rooms are a little dated but we found it charming. Breakfast each morning was perfect out on the patio and sitting out by the pool in the afternoons was so relaxing. Thank you to the Grand Hotel Menaggio for helping make our trip unforgettable.

The hotel was brilliant and staff were very friendly. We did a cooking demonstration with Chef Francesco which exceeded our expectations by a long way! We will be sure to tell our friends to visit and book in for the cooking demonstration. Thank you!

We loved our stay at Grand Hotel Menaggio. Great views and a nice pool that was much needed as it was a heatwave when we stayed. The staff were very attentive and made us feel welcome and relaxed. Possibly the best buffet style breakfast I've had anywhere, too.

Waterfront property with beautiful Lake Como views. Parking was included which is a plus given the area. We got a delicious breakfast one morning but don’t have much else to add for the quality of other meals. Recommend spending the extra money and getting a lake view.

Truly sincerely can’t recommend this hotel enough. It isn’t as modern as others I’ve stayed at, but it genuinely outpaces every single other hotel I’ve ever stayed at in service, views, vibes, and charm. Go out of your way to stay here.

Flew to Malpensa with BA and met by a car which we asked the hotel to arrange. All went well. Hotel reception very good, porters helpful and the lady who cleaned our room was very good. The staff in the restaurant were smart and professional. The food was very good and well prepared and presented. We would have liked to have seen a wider variety of hot food at breakfast as this was restricted to scrambled egg and crispy bacon. Whilst we were there the hotel was full and in the evening you may have to wait for a table to become available. There are all the facilities that you would need at the hotel and it is well positioned for the ferry to various other places around the lake. The hotel will offer various trips if these are required and we did use them for this. We were not on a package tour so we were able to book exactly what we required and can recommend room 107 which is overlooking the lake and has a good sized balcony.

The Grand Hotel Menaggio is a beauty at the western side of lake como. It is perfectly situated in the wonderful city of Menaggio and only a few minutes away from Tremezzo. The view from the hotel terrace, where they also serve breakfast and as well as drinks and snacks during the day, is absolutely stunning. Besides, the service of the hotel offers everything you would expect from a Grand Hotel. I will definately come back here!

This hotel really is amazing, located wonderfully on Lake Como for beautiful views, lovely and friendly staff and the food is perfect too, we would highly recommend booking in for the evening meal here and book a Lake View room, they really are perfect views to wake up to.

We went there with Riviera travel. After a small upgrade we got the most perfect room looking over the lake. Given the size of the dining room the quality of the food and service was very good. I had expected to be disappointed but after several evenings dining there I rated it as excellent.

Grand Hotel in every sense of the word and not bad value for money. Friendly and personable staff make this a great base for exploring the area
