A beautiful family owned restaurant! The pasta was the best I’ve had in the two weeks I’ve been around Italy. Beautiful place for a date night or a nice family dinner in Positano. The dessert and wine were beautiful and you can tell by the service that they care and want you to enjoy the food made. I would 100% recommend coming to this restaurant. A little bit more in pricing but it was well worth it only by a few euros.

Donna Rosa is an absolute gem in Montepertuso. My partner and I really enjoyed this restaurant and its atmosphere. I’m vegetarian and there were a variety of dishes to try here. We started off with the octopus and potatoes appetizer, which my boyfriend said is the best octopus he has ever had. He ate the day’s special which was spaghetti and meatballs and I had the truffle pasta. The freshness and flavor of these two dishes were incredible! Afterwards, we ended the evening with a delicious dessert. The chocolate lava cake was so great we came back for more the next day!

Last but not least, the people from this restaurant were incredibly warm and welcoming. On our next trip to Italy, you can guarantee we will be making a stop here.

Amazing experience ! They picked us up from our hotel. Drove about 20-30 mins while picking up others and we all arrived and left together. Food was incredible. All made in an open kitchen by three women. So much love put into the food!!!

We stayed down by the beach and our hotel suggested this establish for great foods but it’ll be 15 mins drive from the beach up to the restaurant and we didn’t have a car. “No problem! they could send down a car to pick up!”, said our hotel front desk. The restaurant didn’t spare any expense and sent a Mercedes Sprinter at no charge to us. Wow speaking of amazing services and we could already tell how good the treatment would be when I got up there. Foods were to die for. Melt in your mouth octopus, fragrant truffle pasta, succulent seafood pasta and the wine suggested by the sommelier was perfect with the meal. Highly recommend! After the meal, they dropped us off in front of the hotel again. I wish I could bring this piece of heaven back to the US but it just means we’ll have to return again one day.

During our stay we kept walking by this place and thinking nothing of it - we finally went in for dinner and glad we did. One of our BEST meals while in Italy! Everything was perfect! Not overly crowded and filled with tourists like other restaurants - lots of locals so you know it’s good!!

Being Italian my standards are very high for good food, there are many tourist traps in Amalfi but this is certainly not one of them. The best meal we had in Positano by far! We went to all the Michelin star restaurants, Zass etc which were beautiful- however this was authentic home cooked Italian food. The aubergines are home grown in the family’s garden, it was the best parmigiana I have ever had! We also had the white sauce mussels, they were beautiful. The aubergine ravioli was amazing, I could go on. Just make sure if you come to Amalfi/Positano you visit Donna Rosa, you’d be seriously missing out!

We enjoyed this restaurant a lot. The staff was really friendly and the food was all incredible.

It's a little out of the way from Positano, but it's worth it to come up here to check things out. Especially if you're looking for something a bit quieter for the night (Positano can be a little hectic).

I highly recommend checking this place out!

Hands down the best meal of my entire three week honeymoon in Italy and arguably the best meal in Italy I’ve had in the past six times I have visited. The service was fantastic, they were so great with my allergy and I had a plethora of dessert options I could eat. They set us up with a free shuttle to and from dinner and ensured we had a fantastic meal. So, SO good!

Great meal and even better service. There’s no view and that’s okay! They make up for it in hospitality and delicious food.

This was the best meal we had during our entire honeymoon across Greece and Italy! The wine was great, the pasta was fresh, and the service was excellent. I’d been craving a good seafood pasta the entire trip, and the black&white at Donna Rosa was a dream come true. The evening’s dessert special cannoli was incredible. It was a dining experience to remember! Highly recommend!

We have been to Sorrento and Positano on our trip and this is the most authentic and genuinely good food we have had. Great atmosphere run by a lovely family who's generations work there. Couldn't recommend more. especially the aubergine ravioli!!!

Absolutely one of the best meals we had while on vacation. You can watch the entire family cook in their open kitchen. Everyone is warm, welcoming and their hospitality feels genuine as though we are members of the family. Highly recommend eating here. Make sure you make a reservation.

Amazing food and even better service. We went twice for dinner it was so good. Their specials are amazing, one of them was a pasta and meatball dish which may sound simple, but was fantastic and extremely flavorful. The local wines were great and my partners Old Fashioneds were also very good. The ambiance is very lovely and romantic. Everyone there is amazing, attentive, and welcoming. I can’t recommend it enough!

What an incredible dining experience. Wonderful family owned restaurant, located about 15 minutes directly above center of Positano. We sat on a lovely terrace. The food, all of it, was unreal. But what truly makes Donna Rosa so special, is the amazing family who owns and operates the business. We were so fortunate to meet them, and to share incredible wine and grappa with them! When in Positano, you MUST put Donna Rosa on your list. You will be thankful that you did!

We ate early (6 pm), and we had the place to ourselves. I felt like we we visiting an old friend's home. The meal was fantastic, and the service was top notch. My Italian mother got a hug from the hostess on the way out. We will be back if we find ourselves anywhere close to this lovely spot.

Wow - this place truly is worth the trip to the top of Montepertuso. While quite a hike away from the center of Positano, I highly suggest you make the trip as your experience and meal at Donna Rosa will be vastly difference than any dining experience you will have in the center of Positano. In fact, this is the only restaurant we've ever eaten at in Italy where the kitchen is open and the staff encourages you to watch the cooking while it's happening. There is something special about eating at a family run establishment in the heart of the Amalfi Coast. Our server's mother and sister were cooking in the kitchen, her father was serving the wine, her uncle was helping out as needed as well, it felt like we were part of the family for dining at one of the few tables that this restaurant has. I cannot finish this review without mentioning the food of course. We have been back in America for a week now and my family is still raving about Donna Rosa's meatballs. They were the best meatballs we will probably ever have. Every dish was incredible, from the focaccia bread at the beginning of the meal to the cannoli at the end of the meal. I highly recommend a visit to Donna Rosa during a trip to the Amalfi Coast!
