Love the dishes and the best tiramisu in the world! And yes we ate a lot!

This was so good that I will never miss going back when I’m in Tuscany. Halfway through dinner, we knew this was no ordinary local chef. Chef Andrea has an impressive resume and we were delighted by every dish from starter to dessert. The Chianti Reserva from Gaiole was excellent. They also accommodated our group of 12 very well (I highly suggest reservations in advance as many groups had to be turned away and demand was high). I’ve eaten at a lot of top restaurants in the US from Napa to New York and I’m very much a foodie. This is a hidden gem of superior quality and in my top 10 of most memorable dinners. Please spend an evening at this charming Taverna. You will love it!

My wife and I and our two young boys (3 and 1) are just back from a fabulous lunch here. The staff are fantastically friendly and very accommodating, a highchair for our youngest for instance. The food really was incredible, and I say that after eating very well in the region for a week. Of note was the seafood spaghetti, and the suckling pig. The prices were low for the quality on offer. Highly recommended! (One final mention for a great glass of Chianti classic riserva!)

Lovely traditional Italian restaurant in Chianti region. We had an excellent evening.
To eat I had the Octopus to start followed by pasta, my husband had the steak which he was deliciously cooked. The local cats thought so too and tried to get in on the action! But he ate it so fast they didn't get chance.

I took my wife and teenage kids here and we had a wonderful evening. The food was delicious and very Tuscan which we were looking for, but the service was exceptional. Only thing was I could add a tip to the bill as you can’t in Italy so cash only tips. I of course didn’t have any as using Apple Pay which was embarrassing! Overall a lovely meal and thoroughly recommendable.

Fantastic little place. The owner and the rest of the staff were very kind. They helped us find a good wine and the food was very delicious. My highest recommendation is to try this place.

This restaurant is absolutely incredible. The best meal my husband and I have ever had. The appetizers were delicious, the owner gave a great wine recommendation, and the Florentine Steak was fabulous. The chef brought out the steak prior to cooking it to show us the meat we would have, and from our seat outside we could see the chef and his sous chef meticulously preparing our meal. It was perfection and will be a meal we remember and talk about for years to come. Do yourself a favor and go to this authentic Italian restaurant. Five stars!!!

Amazing restaurant! The food was delicious and our waiter was attentive and explained to us everything (the menu is only in Italian). It’s small and the decor is rustic, which we loved. We had a starter, two mains and a dessert. Mineral water and a glass of wine. It was 50 euros, which is what you expect for the fantastic quality of the food. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip!

In brief: This place really is about the good things. Good food. Good wine. Good company. Good music. Good price. From the minute we walked in we felt like family, and we ended up coming back three times in a two day period, enough said.

Not so brief: I can't say enough about this place. I'm a Canadian and living here for two years, I know it's rare to find that place we all dream of when we think of going to Italy. Where the hosts are there to really give an all around experience. Every dish was exquisite in taste, ingredients, and presentation. We were introduced to classics and little known wines. And we enjoyed lively conversations with the truly knowledgeable, interesting, and hospitable owner and the chef.

My husband is Italian from Tuscany, yet I can't count the number of the times he said these were among the best meals of his life. He opted for seafood dishes and was blown away each time. I don't eat much seafood and ended up enjoying many custom creations from both on and off the menu, including some vegetarian options. Every one a delight.

In our tour of Chianti we always ate well, but had come to expect the typical tourist traps - decent food and wine in small portions with a 50% add-on to the price of everything just for being in that zone. Places where you always end up thinking, yeah, it's good, but we (or at least my mother-in-law), could make it better. This place was another world entirely. Feast like royalty. Feel like family. Pay an honest price.

And seriously though, the music.

We made the two-hour drive back home Sunday evening and almost got right back in the car to return for dinner... Definitely recommended.

Wow! One of the best meals we had! Highly recommend eating in this very small, family style deli.... We had a fantastic cauliflower soup and pappardelle with wild boar. Incredible!! The owner is also super nice!

Delicious food simply cooked. The menu is absolutely incredible and the staff were lovely. Enjoyed it so much our first night we went again the second night. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We ate here a number of times during our holiday. The courses are simple and delicious. Local wines are served. The owner was very friendly and even suggested courses we could try. If you are nearby I would definitely recommend this place.

They opened just for us, stopping in. Outstanding! Highly recommended.
